NEWSPAPER - BIWEEKLY EDITION
[Did you subscribe to The Genessia Tribune? Did you even remotely wish you had a newspaper or some other form of media to refer to for news, weather, and current events? Then you're in luck! There's a paperboy riding through the streets of Genessia flinging newspapers onto doorsteps or, if you're unlucky, through your window. Even remote locations in the other cities will still get a paper if one of the residents ever wanted one. The Paperboy is just that dedicated.]

New And Old
The new term for Guardians has officially started, and with the results of the Election, we say goodbye to some old Guardians. Theodore Satchel and Satsuki Kiryuin failed to retain their positions and had them taken over by Fai D. Flourite and Weiss Schnee respectively. It is unknown what sort of job these new Guardians will do, but eyes will be on them.
Joining David Haller and Vyers for a second term is Satori Komeji. She among the candidates managed to retain her position as Fayren Guardian and thus began her second term. With the New Year comes new possibilities. Expect to read any relevant updates here first!
GCPD
The Genessia Police department is reinforced and fully up and running. As spoken about in an earlier paper, Genessia City Guardian David Haller has revamped the force with new equipment, new officers and a new place of business. The officers have already been seen patrolling Genessia City, letting their presence be known.
Triple Kill
The Children of Elo have found new victims inside of Everglade over the last few weeks. Richard Crane, Francis Coffyn, and Martha Whyte . Richard was the owner of the curio store, while Francis worked as a bartender and Martha was a housewife. All were found yesterday at their home or place of worked, murdered.
It is unknown what these victims might have had in common with each other or why they were killed. But the same symbol that the Children of Elo leaves on all of their victims was found carved into each of their chests. The people of Everglade are growing uneasy with the fear that anyone can become a victim.
On Edge
In Fayren, the atmosphere has become a bit tense. With the Hands of Decay still on the loose, some magic uses are moving through the city with more caution. It is not known when or how the group may strike, but magic users don’t want to be caught unawares. Deputy Guardian of Fayen Mewtwo has spoken out against the group, vowing to bring them to a swift justice. As has Lucy Heartfilia and Loki Laevatein, both offering their open protection to mages that feel afraid or threatened by the group.
The Hands of Decay’s declaration to rid Fayren of magic users has sparked a powerful reaction, be it fear, bravery or otherwise. The investigation into the group still hasn’t turned up anything, but stay hopeful people of Fayren!
Coming of Age Day Ceremony Announced
On January 11th, Satsuki Kiryuin will be introducing Coming of Age Day, a traditional holiday observed every second Monday in January by her Japan homeworld. The day officially congratulates and encourages those who have reached the age of majority over the past year and celebrates adulthood.
She has announced that the ceremony will be held at the Amagi Inn at 9am on January 11th, and has extended the normal age of 20 to anyone turning 20-21 between April 2nd of '15 through April 1st of '16. Attendees coming of age will be treated to a ceremonial speech and a gift. Formal attire is required.
Vermin & Variance
Nova City has been experiencing strange things over the past few days. Citizens have submitted multiple reports of rats getting into their homes and wandering the streets. They're everywhere, nesting in corners and getting into drainpipes. Doctors have been seeing an increase of plague and rat bite, two ailments thought to have been wiped out by ultra-modern medicine. Citizens are encouraged to keep a good supply of rat poison on hand, and to wash their hands thoroughly.
Stranger still, however, is the bizarre behavior occurring in people we thought we knew. Kindly old ladies have been seen breaking into shop windows and getting into street fights. Adventurers have turned to a life on the couch in front of the tube. It's hard to say whether society is becoming more or less outgoing. Maybe both? For the time being, we encourage citizens of Nova City to stay inside. Or don't; maybe socialize a bit more? You know what, the heck with this job. I don't need this. I don't get paid enough to write about freaking mice! Sayonara, suckers, I'm off to become a billionaire!

Targeted: The CEO of Aster Technologies is being targeted by Cyborg group The Red Claw. The CEO has gone on record saying that the group are nothing but a bunch of terrorist who want to do nothing more than spread fear among the people of Nova City. The group responded by hiring an assassin. Said assassin bombed his car. The CEO wasn’t in it, as his assistant was getting the car for him. He is personally offering a level 4 payment for anyone that can capture the assassin and bring him to justice.
Everglade
Snoozers: A black magic user has cursed several people in the Everglade area with a sleeping spell. The people all stay on the same block and Friday, none of them awoke from their slumber. They aren’t dead, they just won’t wake up no matter what. A level 3 payment is being offered to anyone that can stop the magic user.
Fayren
Easy Pickings: A thief has decided to take advantage of the unrest in Fayren. With so many magic shops closing early or not opening at all, they have decided to help themselves to their wares. Under the cover of night, they sneak into the shop and steal various expensive items. Only several items from several stores have been reported as stolen, but there is a chance the thief has struck many more times. A level 2 payment is being offered for anyone that captures the thief.
Attleton
Stalked: The manager of a Dinner has received death threats and has claimed to be the victim of stalking as well. They had a dispute with a former customer before any of this started, but now the customer can’t be located. It is unknown if the customer is responsible or not, but solving the mystery and putting a stop to the threats will get you a level 2 payment.
