[Did you subscribe to The Genessia Tribune? Did you even remotely wish you had a newspaper or some other form of media to refer to for news, weather, and current events? Then you're in luck! There's a paperboy riding through the streets of Genessia flinging newspapers onto doorsteps or, if you're unlucky, through your window. Even remote locations in the other cities will still get a paper if one of the residents ever wanted one. The Paperboy is just that dedicated.]

Looking Back And Looking Forward
Happy new year to all of our readers! The New Year is finally here and with that, new possibilities. This writer has many things that he would like to get done this year. I have a whole list of New Year’s resolutions. Number one on the list is to become a professional wrestler, but that’s still something I have to work towards. So readers, how long is your New Year’s resolutions list? Did you complete the things on your old list? If not, what are you waiting for? Get out there and accomplish your goals!
But even with this, we mustn’t forget the past. The previous year had its ups and downs, be it the murders caused by the terrorist groups The Hands of Decay and the Red Claw or the kidnappings, transformation curses among many other things plaguing our dear readers. These trials and tribulations may continue for some while they might lighten for others. Let’s hope for the latter rather than the former.
One final note is that with the Guardian Elections taking place last month, we have some new Guardians stepping up to the plate this year. In Fayren we have Xander while in Everglade we have Danny Fenton who we are told won by a very narrow margin. Both new fledgling Guardians that we have hopes for. Blaze also managed to secure his spot as Attleton Guardian once more for a second term.
The Puzzle Corner is a new section in the paper that gives its readers a chance to win prizes. There will be puzzles, brainteasers or the like listed below. Answering one will net you a prize. Only one puzzle can be solved per reader. (Just comment to the paper with your answer.)

There was one pair of each shoes and socks in each colour.
The red socks went with the blue shoes.
Baba had yellow shoes but not yellow socks.
The clown with green shoes did not have blue socks.
Boba had neither red shoes nor red socks.
Bilpo's shoes were the same colour as Babil's socks.

Four friends were competing in the internationally renowned BrainBashers Bog Snorkelling competition. As usual, the judges were a little careless and once again, they managed to lose the results. Luckily, a number of spectators were able to remember the following snippets of information:
Only one person wore the same number as the position they finished. Gary, who didn't wear green, beat Barry. Larry beat the person who wore yellow. The person who wore number 3, wore green. The person who wore number 2 finished first whereas Harry came last. The person who finished second wore green, Barry wore yellow and the person wearing red beat the person wearing blue.
Can you work out who finished where, the number and colour they wore?

3.) How many times does a coin rotate in rolling completely about another coin, of the same size, without slipping, whilst both are flat on a table?

Kevin chose a CD by a solo girl singer. Laura hates pop music but got an album she wanted. James chose a solo singer. Rebecca chose a girl singer, but not Madonna. Joanne and Steve both chose CDs by groups. Steve chose Steps.

Horror Beneath: A squid monster has been living underneath Fayren for some time now. It has unleashed its spawn, causing them to pull people that linger too closely near manhole covers into the sewers and devour them. A level 2 payment is being offered to any and everyone that goes into the sewers and help exterminate these spawn. Clearing them out will also make it easier to locate the monster itself. There is no limit to the amount of people that can accept this bounty.

All That Glitters - A mage in Fayren with the power to turn whoever he touches into gold has claimed several victims these last few days. Defeating the mage will break the spell. A level 1 payment is being offered to anyone that can do so.
