[The video feed clicks on in just a moment, and when it does, everyone is greeted by a smiling young woman seated with a guitar.]

Hello everyone! I'm Mirajane, and I'm here to sing for you the ballad of Erza Scarlet and her perfect strawberry cheesecake, as requested by our guild master Mavis.

[The song that follows goes like this, starting off slow and sweet, but finishing into a resounding rock anthem crescendo, that was perhaps a little over the top for such a simple subject matter.]

Thank you for listening everyone, tune in next time to hear the misadventures of Happy and Natsu! Oh, and please remember to stop by Fairy Haven in Fayren if you're looking to have a drink, and to hear more songs from me, Mirajane!

After the weeks it took to finish, Ayame's first ever house is ready to open it's golden gate for guests. The groundwork was from the effort of Attleton's hardworking people; but Ayame finished the rest, putting together the floors, the walls, and roofs with nothing but her power. Every door is open for guests to come see every room inside at their own leisure, with the plants at the gardens at full bloom and an open swimming pool in the backyard as the centerpiece of the house. Ayame's Attleton neighbors, and friends in the fashion industry help populate this night of revelry...

The Backyard & Swimming Pool

Directly from the main gate are two large hardwood doors leading to the infinity pool. The roof is yet to be installed along with the walls, so it is for the meantime an outdoor swimming experience and a part of the entire backyard where the party is held. The tea room is yet to be installed, so in it's place is a small platform that acts as a stage for the performers. The bonsai greenhouse is also not built yet as well, allowing for more space in the backyard for guests to use as a patio with the bar, serving up drinks provided by Gale Reinhardt's night clubs After Life and Hangar Queen, including the special cocktails only available in both clubs. Assorted water guns are available for use.

There is a drinking challenge at the bar for anyone over 16. It can be a drinking contest between two or more individuals, with the last person standing is declared the winner. Or it can be a single-player match against the bartender, where he or she provides drinks that gets progressively stronger. If the contestant survives the strongest drink, they win the game. Winners get a prize of a glass trophy of themselves, a commemoratory photo with a certificate of proof that they won, a gift basket of snacks, and bragging rights.

The Dining Area

With it's doors and windows all open, the dining area is temporarily one with the backyard so guests can come and go to sample the Taiwanese feast on display on the dining table and kitchen island. Main dishes include Taiwanese-styled popcorn chicken (marinated with garlic, ginger, soy sauce, five-spice, and white pepper before being fried, making dipping sauces unnecessary), tofu fries, gua bao (pork buns, although available in chicken), black pepper buns (much like the gua bao, only the meat is stuffed inside the bread and is baked in a tandoor), & scallion pancakes (a flaky flatbread treat that comes with just the scallions, or can be used as a wrap for beef and chicken, with the added egg).

Desserts include: Run bing (peanut brittle shavings with scoops of ice cream, wrapped in a spring roll wrapper), red bean & pineapple cakes, finishing off with assorted bubble teas.

There is an eating challenge at the kitchen. Survive eating a full course meal of chicken or lamb curry with Carolina Reapers. Superhumans get an extra helping of the peppers to make it fair as possible. Preparing it requires the cook to wear a gas mask, and even inhaling the aroma of the peppers from a few feet away can cause most people to feel it burn their nose and throat. The contestant must finish the entire meal to win the full prize of a glass trophy of themselves, a t-shirt of proof that they won, a plush toy, and bragging rights. Not finishing only leaves them with participation t-shirt with a gold star that says "I tried".

The Living Spaces

With most of the noise being outside, the inside of the house is fairly quiet in comparison. The living room is still a place where people gather to converse without all the noise or risk getting splashed with water. Upstairs are the bedrooms, which are all open for people to come in and observe, with the two master bedrooms connected by the two-floored walk-in closet displaying all of Ayame's massive collection of clothes, bags, hats, shoes, and accessories. You're welcome to touch them or even try some of them on, but don't expect to vandalize it or leave the room with them without alerting the host. She's very protective of her collection.

Perhaps the quietest place in the house is also the most traditional. The guest portion of the house have tatami rooms both up and downstairs, with the latter having an elevated wooden corridor next to a small garden, providing fresh air to those who want to take a break or have a more private conversation.

[Mira has just woken up and is playing with her smartphone, finding that she catches on fairly quickly, but finding the device to be amusing all the same.]

These things are great, it would probably make getting drinks so much easier if customers could just place their orders in ahead of time. Then again, I kind of prefer the face to face reactions.

[She clicks another thing, and finally realizes that it's a video recorder like some of the magic in her own world.]

Oh! Hello everyone! I'm Mirajane, and I was wondering if anyone here could tell me if they've seen any Fairy Tail mages around? My siblings Elfman or Lissana readily spring to mind, but any members would likely be a welcome sight if I'm going to be here for a while. If not, well I'd be happy to offer my services as a barmaid if anyone is hiring. I have a good five or six years of experience behind the bar, and I can mix just about any drink you'd like.

(Edit hours later): Erza has informed me we do have a branch of Fairy Tail, so I'll be working there. If anyone would like my free month of room and board, please speak to me, and if anyone wants a nice foaming mug of beer, come to the Fairy Tail guild hall! Best quality liquor with the friendliest barmaid~!

[Now that the Guardian elections are done with, Erza decides that it's time to do some recruiting for the Fairy Tail guild. If she's going to be the Deputy Master here, she needs to take initiative on this sort of thing. Getting together promotional materials is easy enough, as is planning out a route and places to stop at, but it's her outfit that takes the most time to consider. It needs to be eye-catching, but also make people immediately think of Fairy Tail, so the guild's logo will need to be on there somewhere.

...That thought process is how she wound up walking around the cities in this, putting up posters and handing out fliers about Fairy Tail. While it's a mage guild, she figures that any kind of talent would be helpful in their line of work (and it would help get the word out if their services are needed), so she'll be handing out a flier to anyone who stops by, even if they're just asking why she's dressed like that.

In addition to doing this, she'll be seeing the sights that the cities have to offer - she doesn't leave Fayren unless she has to, so it's a good opportunity to get to know the other parts of Genessia. In particular, she'll likely be spending a lot of time in or around the Genessia Center Arts Theatre, Fortuna Palace in Nova City, the Nova City Pool Emporium (just in case they ever decide to put a pool near the guild - you never know!), Attleton's Battle Colosseum, and any clothing stores she can find.]

[Jaune is sitting in his office at Nova City's Guardian Skyrise. When the video starts, he's blaring some loud, classical rock music with unintelligible lyrics, which he quickly turns down. Oops. There's a lengthy looking scroll on his desk and you can see interesting decorating choices such as empty redbull cans, action figures of the other guardians and deputies that look like they were in mid-fight with the Weiss one on top of a book, and a chew toy.]

I think I mentioned before looking for a weapons expert. I kind of rushed into it when I asked that, when I should have spent time mastering and re-learning the basics.

Also, I don't think my armor's going to work for much longer. [He's not wearing it right now. It's way too hot for that.] I got a lot of good answers about breaking rocks, but I've finished the design since then, but I don't want to leave it with just anyone.

So, do you have any favorite blacksmiths? Even better, is anyone who's still here one?
[As the feed turns on, Mavis appears on screen wearing her usual big bright smile. She's standing in front on Fairy Haven, a proud expression on her face.

Despite how young she looks, she seems very calm, collected and confident. It's not the first time she speaks in public, nor is it the first time she's candidate to become Fayren's Guardian. This time again Zeref nominated her. Of course, he didn't say anything to Mavis but it was not very difficult to guess.

She slightly clears her throat.

Good Morning, everyone!

I'm Mavis Vermillion, Guild Master of Fairy Tail, and maybe soon, if you decide to vote for me, the next Guardian of Fayren.

There's a reason why the headquarters of Fairy Tail are based in Fayren. That's because it's the part of Genessia that reminds me of home the most. In Earthland, the world I come from, mages, non mages and dragons have learnt to live together peacefully. And I believe we can achieve the same thing here.

I've collaborated with the Guardian and Deputy in the past to defend the mages of Fayren. [Who seem to be targeted far more often than non mages lately.] So, I know that the Guardian cannot succeed alone. But if you elect me and support me, I can promise that I will spare no effort to make sure every citizen of Fayren feels considered, equal to the others and safe.

Thank you for listening to me and now, if you have any questions, I'll be more than happy to answer them!

[Big green eyes stare at the feed expectantly. Go for it, people! Don't hold back. She's ready.]
Action: Fairy Haven, Master's Quarters - Open to any member of Fairy Tail or anyone who lives in Fayren Haven

{ It would be quiet; barely audible, depending on where one was in the sprawling compound that Fairy Tail calls home. It was unmistakably Zeref's voice, but there could be none other heard. It might sound as if he were just... talking to himself. }

I almost gave this to them, you know. I was curious to know what they would have done with it.

{ There's the sound of rustling. Zeref sounded slightly sleepy, if one bothered to listen, as if he had only just woken up despite it being the middle of the afternoon. Maybe he was up late? }

What would they have done? Destroyed it? Opened it? They would have been in for a surprise if they had.

{ Whoever he's speaking to doesn't respond. If one bothers to peek into the room... he's speaking to a book laying on a desk parallel to the bed, propped up against the wall. Completely seriously, as if the book were alive and he was somehow expecting it to respond.

Suddenly, Zeref sighs, reaching for the white, outer-layer of his robe, unceremoniously discarded at the foot of the bed. He pulls it on, over the rest of his outfit.

Why do I bother? I doubt you can hear me, anymore. I wonder if you're even alive in our world without this.

Text - OTA

I'd like to pose a rhetorical question, if I may. Much has been made about the issue of necromancy, in this world. The act of reanimating the dead into 'undead,' as the term I've been hearing up until now.

What I've heard little about is resurrection. Not merely reanimating the dead; restoring life itself. Reversing death. Bringing a soul back from the afterlife and returning it to this world. In my world, it is taboo, regardless of the circumstances or how unfair or undeserved the death was.

Death is ultimately meaningless in this world, at least for those of us with amulets. When one of us dies, we reawaken in the Bay, even if doing so often has a price. Regardless, I've heard some of us say that impermanent death cheapens it.

Why this distinction? What difference is there, truly, between necromancers, and whomever, or whatever it was that brought us here reducing death to a mere transaction?

[For the first few days since the magical plague was reported, Erza was doing fine. Now, however, she seems to have caught it; every time she sneezes, her magic makes her outfit change. Her head feels like it's about to explode and she's exhausted, but she's not going to let little things like that get in the way of her daily routine! ...Though she may avoid Fairy Haven, just to be on the safe side.

She'll make her way to various stores, especially the bakeries and cafes. Eventually, she realizes that she should let Mavis know why she hasn't shown up yet.]

First, I don't think I'll be able to come in today. I'm feeling a bit under the weather... [She interrupts herself with a loud sneeze, and her outfit changes to something particularly ridiculous.] Excuse me. I think I might have caught infection that was mentioned the Tribune. I'm hoping it will pass in a few days, but I'll see what I can do for the guild in the meantime. [Sure, they just got a few members, but there's always room for improvement!]

[After a talk with Mavis, she addresses the community at large.] Is there anywhere I can stay until this infection has run its course? I've been living at Fairy Haven, but that isn't an option at the moment. I shouldn't need much space; I might need material to work on rough advertisements while I'm sick, but that should be easy enough to find. [Even when ill, Erza still insists that she should be doing something.]
16 March 2017 @ 12:26 pm
Who: Erza Scarlet, Mavis Vermillion
What: The Big Hit - Serrate
Where: Genessia City - Mya Mullins' bakery
When: March 16, around 6 pm
Warnings: violence

Erza had been in Genessia for a little while now, and now that she's gotten her bearings, a demonstration of what the Fairy Tail guild can do seems to be in order. With word of a team of hitmen targeting business owners and other citizens of Genessia City, this seemed like the perfect opportunity. Plus, it gives her a chance to work with Mavis, the guild's founder - it's a huge honour to do so, as far as Erza's concerned, and her illusion magic seems like a perfect fit for this job.

The plan is a fairly straightforward one - it seemed most likely that the hitman would strike when the business closes, to cut down on possible witnesses. The two of them had already talked to Mya Mullins, telling her to wait inside for their signal, and when anyone suspicious was hanging around the area, Mavis would create an illusion of Mya leaving the bakery to draw out their target. Erza would attack when the hitman's guard was down, and she should be able to make quick work of the would-be assassin.

For now, the two mages are staking out the bakery from a nearby building, looking for any signs of trouble. This mission was especially personal for Erza; nobody is going to attack someone who owns a bakery and get away with it.

What is justice?

[That's it. That's the whole post. He'll be in his usual places doing his usual rum and working on bikes schtick, because it's so obviously him he didn't even bother trying to hide it.]
28 February 2017 @ 03:46 pm
Who: Erza and Soma
Where: Fayren City streets
When: February 28th - late at night
What: Erza's going out bounty hunting, but things don't go quite as planned; Soma intervenes.
Warnings: Mild violence.

Erza's eager to go out and hunt down criminals - it seems like the best way to establish Fairy Tail's reputation in this place. Unfortunately, the bounty that she took doesn't have much to go on; nobody had seen the mage in question and lived to tell about it, given his tendency to kill the people who he robbed.

Still, it wasn't that difficult to find the locations where prior robberies had occurred. While the damage had been magically fixed after the bodies had been recovered and potential witnesses were questioned, people tended to not forget seeing quicksand pits in the city. Most of the robberies, somewhat predictably, happened in alleys or isolated streets, so Erza decides to stick to the rooftops (figuring that they're the best vantage point, though the fact that she'll stick out like a sore thumb up there doesn't occur to her) and wait.

With the moon high in the sky, Erza is about to move on to another area to continue her search when she hears a piercing shriek. It's brief, but enough for Erza to go on. After hopping over a few rooftops, she seems to spot who she's looking for - a couple, gagged with what appears to be hardened mud or clay, and a man who would be nondescript if not for his hair, which looks like an octopus is resting on his head.

"Halt!" Erza leaps from the roof, landing between the couple and the thief, who was clutching what he had taken from them. Not being particularly good with following instructions, the thief takes off running. With a wave of his hand, a stone wall rises out of the ground behind him, trapping Erza and the victims in the alley.

"Don't worry, I'll stop him." Erza summons a sword with a watery blade to her hand. It only takes a few moments of being submerged in the water to dissolve the gags, which only leaves the problem of the wall. Erza stares at it, contemplating what to do...

...only to burst through it moments later, clad in gold armour with massive shoulder-pads. "GET BACK HERE!" The thief is much further down the street, still clutching his ill-gotten gains and running as fast as his legs can carry him. Grimacing, Erza gives chase, though given how loud the destruction of the stone wall was, she probably won't be the only one.

[The video feed shows a woman with prominent red hair, wearing steel armour and standing in front of the Fairy Haven building. She had arrived a few days ago, and after taking some time to get settled in, she's decided to address some of what she has heard. After fiddling with the camera to get a good angle, she addresses it.]

Hello, everyone. I am Erza Scarlet, of the Fairy Tail guild. I've been told that I've been here before, and while I don't remember that, I won't let that stop me from completing my work. If there's any jobs that you asked me to do before I left, then I will complete them to the best of my ability.

As well, if anyone knew from my previous time here, feel free to re-introduce yourself. [She hopes that she won't get billed for any past property damage, but you've got to take the good with the bad.] I already know that none of my guildmates are here, aside from Mavis, but if anyone ever sees someone with this stamp on them, [She points to the blue wing-like mark on her arm] let me know immediately.

[After making that video, she'll be wandering around Fayren. The main places that stand out to her are Fawn's Forge (definitely a place that she wants to keep in mind, considering how much she (over?)prepares for and how often her weapons and armour break), Mokona's Magical Cafe (she's trying to avoid spending a lot of money until she gets a job, but the sweets might be too tempting), Scribes and Scripts (she'll be seeing what books they have on magic, and when she thinks that nobody's looking, she'll also be checking the romance section), and of course Fairy Haven.]
[For those who know the place called "Fairy Haven" in Fayren, that's exactly what they can see displayed on their screens right now.]

I've looked everywhere...

[The image is trembling, as if the hand holding the communication device was shaking slightly.]

Lucy, Natsu... Even you, Zeira... Are you all really gone?

[A few more seconds, then the feed turns towards a young girl with long blond hair and two small white wing hair clips.]

For those who don't know me yet, my name is Mavis. I'm the First Guild Master of Fairy Tail.

It seems my companions have left, but I know they had offered hospitality and assistance to some of you at Fairy Haven.

Of course, you're welcome to stay. And if any of my guildmates had offered you help with anything, please let me know and I'll be happy to do it in their stead. Until they return.

[She pauses and seems about to turn off the feed, but then adds as an afterthought.]

But if I'm wrong, and any member of Fairy Tail is still here in Genessia, do contact me as soon as you see this.

[And that's all she says. She misses them but she believe they were sent home when they'll be safe and can put the war to an end.]
