Action: Kitten in the House Flower Shop- Attleton

[Not expecting to be gone so long, Aya felt not only out of sorts but very...incomplete. The Dream Docks revealed that he had been missing more than a year's worth of memories, and he wasn't okay with that. But with not knowing how to deal with his newfound memories, he did the only thing he knew, which was go to work.]

[So here he is, at his newly opened flower shop, sweeping the front of the store with a broom, lost in his thoughts about what has been revealed to him. He definitely doesn't pay much mind to the gaggles of young girls who tend to stop by to make small purchases, or just stare.]

Does anyone think our memories are being suppressed purposely?

Private Video to Sonico:

I got your messages. I'm sorry to have made you worry, Sonico. I'm fine, I promise.

[Besides the still healing gash on his neck from his bounty a couple of weeks ago. But otherwise fine!]

action for jaune; lunchtime
[ Jaune and Weiss had been getting along for some time now. After their last real fight, it'd taken a while but they were honestly better than ever. And now, she was on her way to go patrol and peeking into his office while he was doing paperwork (or holowork, that she put him up to doing- you know, whatever). ]

You know, I wouldn't mind some company to patrol sector 5 if you want some fresh air and lunch.

[ She knows he doesn't do well with 'homework' for too long at a time. ]

action for jacques; evening
[ After a hectic afternoon with Jaune, it had taken every ounce of her patience when she got a call from the mayor's assistant that she needed to meet with him. Something about securing an event or something along those lines. Weiss had half a mind to just post-pone but given her current relationship with her father, the last thing she needed to do was aggravate it. She'd just.. have to try to keep her hands to herself. Wear gloves. That would solve the problem, right? It wouldn't, but she isn't aware of that.

So Weiss shows up wearing a dress and a jacket despite the weather not being cold, and light gloves, peeking her head through the mayor's office door tentatively. ]

[ Iiiiiit's Whitley! He's seated in his office at the Schnee Dust Company, his smile and tone both pleasant and professional. ]

I hope today finds everyone well. For those of you who I haven't yet had the pleasure of meeting, my name is Whitley Schnee - most of you, I'm sure, have seen the holograph of my dear sister Weiss in the Bay. Having recently become the CEO of the Schnee Company here in Genessia, I'm afraid I haven't had much time to speak openly. Suffice it to say I had a lot of records to peruse and catching up to do, but now that I've finished adjusting to the professional side of this position I'd welcome the chance to be of more personal assistance.

[ A little laugh, resting one hand atop the other to clasp them on the desk. ]

After all, the Schnee Company is here to help anyone and everyone adjust to a new life in a new world. Part of that duty is to plan events in each city for all to partake in. So my question is simply, "What would you like to see here in Genessia"?

No request is too large or too small for consideration. I'm here, and I'm listening.
OI! Wot's all this about the vampire killin', huh?! You can't just go around killin' vampires that didn't do nuffin! They were just mindin' their own business!

COME ON! There's gotta be laws against that, right?!

Look, I'm gonna set up an agency. In my parents' universe, it's called Torchwood, and it advocates for reasonable peaceful solutions betwixt different species of people and helpin' 'em advocate for 'emselves, if they get lost or stranded or somethin'.

But until then, could you 'old your bloody 'orses?! NO KILLIN'! Damn!

Out of curiosity, who should I talk to in regards to procuring an enchantment? I suppose Fayren is the most likely choice, but who would I talk to?

[She couldn't time travel; after having given this place his ability to not need to sleep often and the ability to not get drunk; upon waking up in his Tardis at least Ten can hear her and she's alive but - she paid a price too for being here. At least he was able to find her. Even if it was in Powell Estate in Peckham. A bit bothersome on how something knows that when he hasn't told anyone. It wasn't a coincidence considering the 'Bad Wolf' painted on the walls outside.

Next, The Doctor sees if she can fly - and she can! And they fly together through all the areas; Nova, Attleton, Everglade, Fayren and Genessia; during the night. Trying to break through the barriers. And found it useless. However, doesn't mean that some people didn't see a Police Box flying though the sky at night. You just may have Where that landed is quite another question.

Trapped. Was he supposed to accept this faith? No - he will not. Not again. Time Lords punished him in his Third life on Earth and was not happening again.... Maybe if he goes underground? He'll have to figure out how too.]

[Locked to Cassian Andor, Grell Sutcliff, Yukiko Amagi, David Haller, Weiss Schnee]

Hallo. I'm The Doctor. Sorry, so sorry about being late about this. Have belated congratulations on winning the election. Great speeches all of you.
[Now to business]

Yukiko and David already know from the spirit invasion but if you're in need of a volunteer. Just give me a ring.

[End Lock for Cassian Andor, Grell Sutcliff, Yukiko Amagi, David Haller, Weiss Schnee]

[Lock to Professor Augustine]

About those Pokemon creatures - tell me more about the Poke balls.

[End lock to Professor Augustine]

[Locked to Belle]

Sorry, sorry if I worried you. I sort of passed out for a week. [Pops his mouth at the end there]

[End lock to Belle]

So - seeing as this place is a multiversal hub - I'm sure you all have stories to tell about where you're from.

Whut's the most interesting thing from your world?

I'll start - which is The Lion King and The Muppets Christmas both brillantly done pieces of human filmography.

(OOC: The Tardis is near the Genessia City Police Department)
[ Weiss has done a lot in this city and world. She's built her own connections, and she has plenty of them so when she needs back-up musicians for a charity concert it's honestly not that hard to get them together quickly. Nor is it difficult to get a camera crew there for a free charity concert. Donations are optional and can be as low or high as you want, everyone is welcome. The banner that's over town center reads "NOVA IS EVERYONE'S: A LOW-INCOME HOUSING FUNDRAISING CONCERT" She's raising money to help more people be able to afford to live in Nova outside of little holes in the wall. The rich got more living spaces, and that's not how she wants this city to be- a place where only the uppercrust and those pooling their money together can afford. She wants it to be for everyone. On the television, the reporter explains that the City Guardian is hosting and unexpectedly performing and, curiously, seems to have billed herself simply as "Weiss" as a featured artist, leaving out her last name.

There are a couple of other acts ahead of time, all taking place in front of a large mirror that covers the full stage so you can see the musician's backs and yourself in the audience, but eventually Weiss takes the stage. Her piano that Jaune and Dave refurbished for her half a year ago is rolled onto the outdoor stage when it's her turn, and she takes a seat at it. She doesn't greet anyone or explain anything, she just begins playing, then singing. It's beautiful, and the audience seems to quiet down as she does sing. There are other instruments played by other musicians behind her on the stage-- strings, percussion-- classical instruments typically reserved for the upper class. That is until two minutes and twenty seconds into the song, the last part her father heard at his last charity concert featuring her, when stage ninjas bring all of the other musicians electrical guitars and the drummer certainly changes his tune. It's a rock song now.

Weiss stands up, leaving the piano behind her, but approaches the front of the stage as she sings, belting her lyrics out and really becoming more.. alive, than the stiffness she started with at the piano. She's moving with the music, and at some point she starts taking her jewelry off-- they're the jewelry she arrived with, the ones her father bought her. Ridiculously expensive, despite being small and delicate, and she walks over to the edge of the stage where the guy collecting charity is and drops them onto the table, raising her hand up after she does and the song finishes. She didn't need a mic the whole time, her voice is powerful, stronger than she looks. At the end of the song, that abrupt end, the mirror behind the stage completely shatters and falls down behind the stage (luckily there's a very clear panel keeping the gap between the stage and the musicians safe, no worries, it's just for kickass stage effects).

She can stand on her own, and she will, no matter who the mayor is or how much he tries to worm his way into her life when she can't run anymore. It takes a moment for her to catch her breath, but at the end of the song, the whole world is going to see what was once a very rare sight: Weiss Schnee, smiling like she means it, before she stands up straight again and accepts a mic from one of the volunteers. ]

We're here today to raise money to make sure Nova City's a place where everyone is welcome, regardless of how much they make or where they come from as long as they want to be a part of this city without causing harm. This place has become a home to me, even if I'm not from here. Let's not let anyone take that from any of us.

[ That's all she says. Very simple, before they go back to perform other songs. You can watch the full thing on television or just head over to Nova, but Weiss wanted to make absolutely certain that her part was recorded for the network. There's a number for making donations over the phone as well. ]

Alright... I'm pretty sure it's normal for folks to have the 'what the hell' reaction upon arriving here. I mean, no offence to Weise, or how ever you pronounce your name, sorry. But no offense, being told I was kidnapped in a cheerful voice doesn't fix the fact that I'm not exactly okay with this.

[The video shows a person looking in their young teens with amber eyes and light brown hair, frowning at the camera.]

Is there anyone I can actually talk to, not just a hologram, that can... maybe give me some more answers? I read everything, and I get that I need the necklace...

[She holds up her red necklace, then the manila envelope.]

And that the money helps but... I've still got questions like the how, and why and general what the hell is going on. If anyone's willing to chat with me, I'd be grateful. I do good over electronics, but seeing someone in person wouldn't be too upsetting really.

Uh... if anyone who knows me is out there... please let me know.

[While most everyone seems to be suffering from the heatwave, Dorian seems less than annoyed by it all when the feed initializes. Now, he's not wearing his robes, and his dark shoulders prove he's wearing an outfit without sleeves, but he seems perfectly comfortable, more so than usual, one could say.

He looks rather pleased with himself, also, and while most of his surroundings aren't in view, it's plain the device is nestled on a desk surrounded by very untidy notes in a flowing hand and that said desk is surrounded by bookshelves that are equally in a state of disarray. No one every accused Dorian of being an orderly worker.

Hello, Genessia! You know, all this talk of a heatwave, and all the lamentation thereof, have gotten me thinking about weather. I know, I know. It's the topic of bores and the unenlightened, something to fill the void at an awkward social gathering, what have you. But, the reason I bring it up is simple: this weather is much more similar to my homeland, which, coincidentally, is in the north of the land from which I hail.

[He folds his hands in front of him on the desk, leaning forward slightly in interest.]

What I would like to know is this: is warmer weather where you come from associated with the north...or the south? Call it a research project.

[It's hot. There's no way around that. Jaune is wearing athletic black swimming trunks with red accents, and he's armed and ready. After borrowing the water gun following Weiss's beach party, he modified it with sophisticated tools such as duck tape, and some suspiciously wires that pulse a blue light. So does the gauntlet on his right arm.

When he finds someone to aim at, it's possible they're met with a powerful blast of water that leaves a bright blue dust residue in its wake. However, water dust is stronger than just normal water, and this was an impulsive idea that Jaune isn't sure how to control. He might accidentally knock a few people to the ground. If he does, he winces.]

My bad.

[At one point, he lets his Gyarados, Neptune, out. Neptune doesn't seem very happy to be in a very cramped, very warm space. He huffs in Jaune's face and Jaune reaches to pat him on the back.]

I promise I'll take you to Fayren's ocean after this and we'll hang out there, but can you do me a favor? [Doing a front flip, Jaune uses the momentum to punch the ground and create a wall of water that Neptune swings his tail with--]

[Creating a mini tidal wave to knock people off their feet.]

[It’s been a couple of weeks since Jacques took his place as mayor of Nova City and he’s finally settled in, fired his poor excuse for an assistant and gotten a new one. The office has been redecorated to resemble his office back home, complete with the portrait of his younger self. He sits tall in a new pressed suit that’s been topped off with a matching set of sky blue and white striped tie and handkerchief, hands clasped together in front of him on the desk.

Citizens of Nova City, it is my privilege to sit here before you as your mayor. Adjusting to life here hasn’t been easy, but I am fully confident that I will be able to run this city more efficiently than ever before with the support of you, its citizens, and the appointed Guardian, which by the looks of it will be my very own daughter. Rest assured, the two of us are capable of separating our personal and professional lives - there will be no corrupt bargains here. [Insert slimy politician smile here.]

Now, I know some of you are a little on edge with my new-found role. Understandable, given my unprofessional introduction to this world, but I assure you that you have nothing to fear. The position of mayor is one of give and take, and I am available to answer any concerns and address any issues that you may have. Why, I listened to you when you suggested this position over one of a Guardian, did I not? It is my duty as mayor to listen to all of you and respond in the manner I best see fit for our great city. Recently, we’ve seen a new transportation system. We now have living quarters up in the sky. I will do all that is within my power to ensure that Nova City’s Age of Prosperity continues to thrive.

So thank you, kind citizens, for electing me as your new mayor. Together we can make our city a place that we are proud to call our home.
26 June 2017 @ 06:52 pm

Now that things seemed to have settled down across the cities, Sonico was ready to get her housewarming in full swing. She has never been to one before, nor has she ever attended one, so it’s all very new to her. Still, now that she is more settled in her new home with Cassian and Kay, she is determined to make this a really great housewarming party.

So, all friends of Sonico, Cassian, and Kay, are invited to their brand new home in Attleon for a barbeque and drinks to celebrate friendship, and home. Come along and mingle!~

Early Evening

Where it all begins! The garden is large and includes a small pond, a couple of trees with a hammock between, a wood burning stove in the corner of the patio and, of course, the BBQ. There’s a large grass area and a patio area too, plenty of place to stand and chat. There are a few fold up chairs dotted around too. There’s a table full of foods and burger buns and condiments and, of course, yet another table full of various kinds of cider, beer, and soft drinks. Help yourself, mingle, say hello to the happy hosts and hostess.

Getting Dark

Later on, there’s a definite sense of merriment around the garden. If it’s too cold, there’s always the options of going inside to find a couch or a blanket to stay comfortable. But all the fun is in the garden, where the fairy lights that Sonico has strung up everywhere have been turned on, lending a festive, and almost romantic, glow to the evening. Even if most of the food has gone, it seems to have been replaced with snacks and more cold drinks. The wood burning stove is on now and, when it is dark enough, Sonico appears with matches and boxes of sparklers for her guests to enjoy – not quite fireworks, but fun enough!

Very Late

The evening is winding down, most guests have probably gone home. Still, it’s nice to sit long and late into the dark with friends, or even on your own just to enjoy the atmosphere. When all is said and done, there’s still some clearing up to do.

26 June 2017 @ 09:45 am

I know a lot of people have had various feelings about me in the past. However, Fayren has been uniquely open in its dealings with me, and those I care for. As such, I have an announcement of a sort to coincide with the Guardian election.

Fayren is under my protection. Any attempts to weaken it, or harm it will be met in kind. I do not care who you are, or what your station, if you harm Fayren, you answer to me. Not even our potential Guardians are exempt from this.

[Ever since Akira awoke from his cocoon and listened to the welcome spiel from the hologram near the Bay, he's been scouring the network for more detailed information about this place and the people who have ended up here. He's managed to learn a great many things just by getting lost in the posts for about an hour, and he's even seen a few familiar faces in the process. Knowing that he isn't alone here provides him with a small sense of relief, although his feelings about this whole situation are still very mixed.

The best way to get their attention would be to make a post of his own, but just saying something like "Hey *insert names here*, I'm here now" would be boring, not to mention obnoxious for everyone else who has to scroll past his post. Just having his name attached should be enough, so he should ask about something he hasn't managed to learn from his network surfing. He could introduce himself while he's at it like other newcomers, but none of the information he's willing to share about himself to a bunch of strangers is terribly interesting compared to the others, so he'll just get straight to the point.]

Question for the coffee lovers here: who has the best coffee in all of Genessia?

[Because he could really go for some coffee right now, okay.]

[ action; near the bay ]

[Anyone who happens to be walking near the Bay area before the network post may find a frizzy-haired, bespectacled teenager seated on a bench, eyes glued with intense focus to that tiny smartphone screen. Next to him is the white box every new arrival receives with a copy of the brochure from the magazine rack laying on top of it, signifying his newbie status. It's clear from the look in his eyes that the grogginess from his awakening hasn't fully worn off yet either; in fact, staring at a screen for such a long period of time is making him feel worse, but he wants to absorb as much information as he can while he tries to come to terms with this situation.

The more he learns, the harder it is to believe that this is all real, yet he has no choice but to accept it. It's fascinating, but thinking about what he's leaving behind fills him with sadness as well as anxiety due to the circumstances he left under, and it shows on his face.]

[ action; genessia city ]

[Akira can't just sit here going through posts and stewing in his thoughts all day, though. Shortly after he posts his message to the network, he slips the phone into his pocket and picks up the box and brochure as he rises to his feet. Shifting the box under his arm, he opens the brochure to the page that contains the map of Genessia City. Might as well check out his new place and drop off his stuff while he waits for responses, so he locates Genessia Commonspace on the map and takes a moment to plan his route before heading off.

He isn't used to following a paper map, so at times he may get a little lost into it and nearly bump into someone. That someone may be you. Fortunately, he has enough Proficiency to sidestep away from you moments before a collision can happen. It's still a little too close for comfort, though, so Akira looks up apologetically.]

[At least he didn't actually bump into you???]
21 June 2017 @ 12:00 pm
[There's a young blonde on the screen, her hair painstakingly combed and braided to perfection, but the 18th century dress she wears, although equally painstakingly washed, is frayed and torn at the hems, with a few stains which couldn't be fully removed yet. She looks pale, her cheekbones a little too sharp, deep shadows still under her eyes. These signs of her recent captivity couldn't be washed away as quickly as the grime, or as she had demanded for a lady in the Welcome Center to teach her the proper use of this - still uncanny - device.

Eleanor may hate appearing in public looking less than perfectly poised, but every inquiry for suitable clothing got her pointed to Fayren, and she's not quite daring enough yet to brave a town everyone keeps telling her is full of real, actual magic. First things first then.

My name is Eleanor Guthrie, formerly of Nassau, New Providence Island. I'm not going to waste your time with complaints about being taken captive, as I'm sure you hear them from every new arrival. I'd rather sate my curiosity. I've been told a woman may own and rule equal to any man in your towns, even in Fayren, and that quite a few of the most powerful citizens are indeed women. Is this more than just the letter of the law?

[Old wives' tales come to life or not, Fayren is the only place that seems to hold any comforting familiarity in this bizarre, foreign world she has been thrust into, and she's not going to let sorcery or any kind of bizarre otherworldly creatures stand in the way to that.]

I also have another, more trivial question for you: Can we hope for it to get warmer yet? It's a little bit nippy for this time of the year, compared to what I'm used to. I'd hope Fayren, at least, is warmer; I'm planning to settle there if all goes according to plan.
12 June 2017 @ 10:26 pm
[ Well one thing was for sure, she wasn't in Mistral anymore. In fact Winter wasn't sure if she was even on Remnant anymore. No, no that wasn't quite right. She was, in fact, sure that she wasn't on Remnant anymore. Washing up in a pod on a strange shore wasn't on Winter's schedule for that day. She had battles to win, people to protect, and a General to look after.

She took a deep breath to try to still her beating heart. She was a soldier. If she was caught panicking then that could be the end of her especially if she was somehow so far away from home in such a far off land. Winter pushed herself up and dusted herself off before collecting the items that she had awoken with. The necklace, the...electronic device, the pamphlet, and the key.

Winter was nothing if not rational. Given that pamphlets usually contained useful information she opened that first and read that over. So the items would be useful to her, then? She wasn't much for jewelry, though, she did place the necklace into her pocket for safe keeping along with the key. The 'smart phone' seemed to operate much like her scroll. At least that would be semi familiar to her in this strange world. Winter tucked it in to the pocket of her coat and situated the pamphlet under her arm.

It wouldn't do her any good to keep standing on the beach like that. If there were rooms that she could find then it would be much safer than standing out in the open. Making sure she had just about everything else with her, Winter started walking.]

[ Looking to get into Nova City? Chances are you're going to run past Weiss. Since this has started, she and Nova's deputies have been holding onto various roles. The entrance to Nova City's been guarded by Weiss, Satsuki, and Grievous. Mercury's been doing expeditions into Genessia main to help bring people back, and Jaune and Garrus have been keeping things calm within the city walls. All armed with David's spirit weapons, though with orders to use them as limitedly as possible and to just try to keep out with regular weapons rather than kill if possible- protecting the city was the priority. At least, until Jaune had realized what those flowered things were- or at least what part of them was.

Their formation needed to change. Things needed to be done, and she didn't want to send Jaune off alone either. When she gets a chance, she gets the rest of the deputy team and guardians up on the comms. ]

I'm staying at the gate and Nova City is going to be overrun over my dead body, but Jaune's right. Some of us need to head to Fayren. I told one of the guardian candidates that the cities in this place only exist because we're all here together, not because we only stick our necks out for our own. I need to know which of you are going so we can regroup in Nova City and make sure our people stay safe, but at minimum Jaune is headed to Fayren.

Jaune, I have faith in you but I don't want you going alone. No one should be alone in this fight.

If one of you goes and finds the man who gave Seek the flowers that we're now seeing in these spirits? I want him brought to me. We've got Seek, we can have him give a positive identity and then we can question him. If any of the other Guardians want a piece, we can discuss custody afterward and they're more than welcome to come question him but I want to make sure someone has him secured and since Fayren's a little lacking in leadership right now, we'll take responsibility.

David mentioned the Bay's waters, but if you're nowhere near there, use any last seconds you have to call someone you care deeply about. There's a chance they can reach you after these things have gotten you. I.. speak from experience, though I'd rather not get into it. It's a very personal experience, so what worked for me might not work for you anyway. Just know that someone you care about can bring you back. These spirits can take a lot from you but as corny as it sounds, love isn't one of them.

[Jaune's on top of a building in Genessia, avoiding the spirits long enough to post on the network. He's still in his formal white jacket, the red sash he always wears as well as his shield and sword making him looks somewhat more like a knight. He knows his weapons won't fully defeat them, and he has the one Weiss gave him, but he tries not to use it except for when necessary. A physical barrier is better than nothing. As for how he got up there, his Gyarados is in the background, but he's about to put him back in his pokeball for his own protection.]

I didn't get the chance before we got attacked, but those flowers inside some of the spirits are familiar. Remember back in January when anyone who drank the water in Nova City were split in to different morality halves? When Kanonno defeated Mr. Seek, he told me that he used a flower a lot like the ones seen inside those spirits for his formula. The same flowers can be found in Fayren. I don't know how the spirits could have gotten into Fayren, or why, just-- If this is going to be stopped, I think looking there is our best bet. I'm already heading over. If anyone wants to team up, let me know. Don't feel like you have to.

Just be careful.

[Private to Weiss.]

I know that I should go to Nova City. We have a responsibility, but I feel like this is the only thing that could help all of the cities. Will you let me do this, and can you go with me?

[He already knows her answer. He closes his eyes for a moment, and opens them, looking resigned.]

Please just give me an answer so I know you're okay.

[Action | Genessia]

[It's more of a struggle than an actual fight, when the spirits just keep reappearing. Jaune has made the choice to use his own weapons as much as possible, not sticking to one area for very long unless he sees someone who is cornered by the spirits or who looks hurt. He'll be fine. He doesn't need to rely on it too much. He just has to keep his distance.

People who are still outside might hear a loud scream that's meant to be a battlecry before Jaune flies past them using his shield to try and ram the spirits away, or pin them down with his sword in a downward strike.]
[Fai was holding the device in one hand and what appeared to be writing in the air quickly with his free hand. He was working on something, but what it was, wasn't exactly obvious in the first place.]

You know, this somewhat brings back memories of the last time. [He had soon stopped before sighing with relief. That should be enough.]

Okay, that is the pokemon daycare center protected. Which is actually why I am even doing this feed.

[He paused for a moment.]

We have safe houses that David provided, but for those who... for whatever reason might not want to leave where they live. So I figured that the barrier I put over the safehouse I will do for those who want to stay at home.

[he looked behind him for a moment, his pokemon were behind him dealing with something, maybe they were defending him or something, it really was hard to tell. However he turned his head toward them.]

Guys, go inside the house, okay? [Now he was back to the feed.]

So if anyone wants to have a barrier around their home or apartment, let me know and also tell me which city, so I can go do that.
