Can someone, please, please come and get me? I'm at Attleton and I just don't like it here right now.

Action - Attleton
[There had been a reason for her not liking it here and that was the fact Mother Gothel, the one she called mother was currently standing in front of her. Why was she a fear of all things? It was slowly starting to become obvious when the supposed mother speaks.]

Come now Rapunzel. Time to go home, back to the tower. You've seen the world and all that, but before anything awful happens to you.... [As she spoke she had walked up to Rapunzel her hands trailing along her long golden locks. She seemed to care more about that than Rapunzel herself.]

I don't think I could live with myself if something dreadful were to happen. I would just die. [She started to tug at the young woman's arm as Rapunzel started to tug back. It seemed as though she really didn't want to go back.]

No, mother. Please don't drag me back there. I like it here, the people are really nice and while a few things have happened, it's not as bad as you made it out.

Now Rapunzel, there is no, no. You are coming back to the tower whether you like it or not. I mean really, Rapunzel you say you like it and the people are nice, but have they really looked at you. [And once again she was starting to cause Rapunzel to look at the floor and her feet, trying her hardest to fight the fear she was feeling at the thought of going back to the tower.

However, before she even had a chance to try she was getting dragged again, causing her to try and fight back, fear clear in her eyes.]

Mother! I don't want to go back!

You have no choice, I am keeping you safe dear.

Rapunzel? Attleton is a big place, can you tell me where you are exactly?

Hey, leave her alone!

[The scraping of metal can be heard as Jaune withdraws his sword. He witnessed everything, and while he's not about to attack Gothel, he's had his fair share of standing back while his friends deal with their terrible parents. He reacts on impulse, walking over to block her path.]

She said she doesn't want to go back.

[Rapunzel appears on the feed, clearly unhappy about her current situation.]

Um well...the buildings all look the same to me. Oh! But that big...building. I don't know what it's called but didn't it have the Olympics in it...

[She really is thinking about it.]

Oh I think it's called a coliseum

[Rapunzel did manage to get out of her mother's grasp and had quickly moved to the others side. She was terrified. Sure her mother can be scary when trying to convince her to go home, but this was worse.]

Mother, the world isn't as bad as you made out. I've not once seen men with pointy teeth, except vampires but they are mostly nice. I mean Jaune here doesn't as far as I can tell either and he's never once tried to hurt me or kidnap me for my hair.

[The woman shook her head slightly.]

Oh, Rapunzel dear your naivety is showing. He is clearly holding a sword, he could attack at any time. It's why it's safer back home. In the tower where you are safe from harm. Where people won't use you or hurt you. I only do things to keep you safe. [She extends her hand out for a moment.]

Now come on. You don't want me to be the bad guy after all, do you? [Rapunzel shook her head, she didn't want to go back now, not after being here for so long and seeing what the world had to offer. It was nice here it was freeing and the people she had met and made friends with helped her with knowing that.

[Once Rapunzel willingly went to his side, Jaune extended his arm as if to protect her from the woman. He wasn't sure what brought on the exchange, or why Rapunzel's mother would tell her stuff like that.]

No sick person is going to kidnap you for your hair. [Her hair was beautiful and all, but kidnapping? Why would her mother put fear into her like that?]

What good is staying safe if she's not truly living? [He grits his teeth. No one should be trapped just because there are people who doubt them and think it's not "safe" to let them go and thrive and become their own person.] As for this sword, I didn't know who you were. I thought you might have been someone else. [He looks at Rapunzel again.] Do you want to leave?

[He was going to ask Rapunzel to show him where she was using the camera but her explanation is good enough.]

I know where now. I'll be there in no time.

[He's already on the move, jumping over the trees in Fayren and heading towards the subarchway. Dray tries to stay away from fights unless the people he cares about is threatened. He promised to himself he wouldn't let others suffer what his children and he went through.]

[Rapunzel was scared and she had managed to be able to get away from her fear for the time being, but she knew that it wouldn't be long. Wouldn't be long until Gothel started to drag her back toward the tower, wherever that would be. She didn't know how she would be able to.

maybe she was going to lock her away in another place in the world, who knew. All she did know was she really didn't want to go back ever. She liked it here, she made friends, she has seen what the world is like both the good and the bad and no one wanted what her mother feared they would want.

It made her wonder a few things. But as she started to move she soon heard the voice again. There she was, right in front of her once again. Well this wasn't fun at all. She had to escape once again. But this time her hair got in the way as she felt it being pulled toward the mother. She seemed determined to take her away again and all the young woman could do was struggle and try and get out of it.]

You'd be surprised

[Rapunzel put her hands on her hair for a moment, she knew that was something she would always say, always to make sure she stayed in the tower where she was safe from harm, where no one could take her away. Rapunzel knew the reason and that was why she never said anything to anyone. She had still been afraid of how people would react. Rapunzel had stayed quiet for the time being but soon she shook her head, no. She figured even if they were to leave this would haunt her. Narrowing her eyes slightly for a moment she had heard every word and she knew Jaune had a very good point. She really hadn't been living being trapped for all her life.]

Jaune is right. I wasn't truly living and I've learned a lot by getting out... People... have never asked why my hair is so long. No one is interested in what it can do... People don't care. [She takes a small breath. She had been afraid of going back, she still admittedly was terrified but seeing how people have reacted, she couldn't help but be a little happy. It was also helpful.]

I left the tower in the hopes to fulfill a dream I've had for a very long time. I had thought to come back before I found myself here. While that dream is still around, I have new dreams and they all involve being outside and with those, I have come to trust and anything you say will not change that now. You raised me, but from now on I make my own choices, make mistakes and learn from them.

[She soon looked at Jaune briefly for a moment.] I do want to leave. [She moves to turn around and Gothel clearly looked unimpressed, but she didn't do anything else. Instead, she seemed to vanish as Rapunzel felt a sense of fear slowly melt away. At least until after she moved a little further away as found herself leaning against a near by wall.]

That was terrifying.

Where are you at? I can come and get you. [She was nearby anyways.]

I'm currently in Attleton, I moved since the last time someone asked though and I can't give an exact place.

Okay, but where can I get you? [She's worried for Rapunzel, after all.] I'm going to need a location.

[If only Dray had known about Rapunzel's fear sooner, he would have shown his sympathy. He had a very similar fear, although it went beyond being locked up. It involved all the painful things he had to endure with his captors and then having his children taken away. For that reason, he had been avoiding Attleton altogether until this very moment.

As it was, by the time Dray found Rapunzel, more following her smell than anything else, his nerves were already on edge. He growled low in his throat when he spotted the black-haired woman, claws extending and hair standing up on his back.]

Let her go!

[Rapunzel seemed to be struggling to get out of the situation, but she had a firm grip on the young woman's hair. She wanted out, she wanted to get away. Dure she might upset her, but Rapunzel liked being out, she liked being free. Gothel looked up for a moment, tugging ever so slightly before looking at Rapunzel once more. She seemed to be very careful when it came to her hair at least.]

Rapunzel, you don't want to upset your mother now, do you? You know that you not coming back would be just awful and lonely.

[She wasn't sure what to think, she didn't like the tower anymore, she feared going back after she found out she liked being outside. But it was getting much much harder to struggle and to escape.]

I don't know, I am I can try and get near the archway, if that helps.

Has anyone offered to help yet?

A few very nice people have. It's amazing how many knights there are... Well they might not be actual knights but they act like it.

What's goin on in Attleton? I haven't been there since all of this ~~shit~~ stuff happened in Genessia City.

i don't know exactly. But I saw my mother who wanted me to go home.

She's not really here though, right?

[ There's a long delay before his reply. ]

You know, if she actually does ever come here, nobody would let her take you away.

I know. At least I know that now, but... it's not that I don't like my mother, she is my mother, but... I just don't want her to put me back into the tower.

I'm probably not the best guy to give advice about family.

But I think you can like somebody, and still not agree about what's best for you. You still might want to do your own thing.

That's a thing? The whole not agreeing what is best thing?

Oh yeah, that's definitely a thing. Trust me on that.

You might fight for a long time, and maybe you'll never agree. But they're still family.

[Wait till she finds out they aren't really family later... But that is much later down the line.]

I dont know, I mean she probably would never accept what I want. She is just trying to protect me. I get that, but I have yet to see her reasons have proof behind them yet.

[ Shinjiro wasn't really thinking about literal blood-related family, either. But. If he knew what was really going on?

Still. As things were - he'd seen enough runaways living on the streets, to have a sort of uneasy feeling about this situation. If this girl feared her mother dragging her back against her wishes so much - there was probably something to that.

Or there might not be. After all, Shinjiro had been talking a little about his own experiences, before - and Akihiko and Mitsuru really did have his best interests at heart.

As usual, Shinjiro witheld judgment until he felt like he knew what was going on. ]

Like I said. Just because they want what's best for you, doesn't mean you'll agree with it.

I don't know your situation real well. But even with good intentions you can still fight about it. It sucks, but it doesn't mean you're doing anything wrong. You just want to be happy, right?

I do want to be happy, but I don't want to upset people either.

Sometimes, you have to choose between them.

[Enough was enough. Dray had warned the woman once, he knew plenty of this kind of situations, has been in Rapunzel's place before and they never lead to anything good.

Stepping forward, Dray reached out for Gothel's wrist and gave it a strong squeeze so she would let go of Rapunzel.] I'll break it if you don't let her go.

My, my looks like someone has a good grip.

[She spoke, another hand behind her back as Rapunzel was looking more and more nervous. She wasn't sure what her mother was planning, but given how much she wanted to protect her, make sure she isn't harmed, she wondered if her mother would go to the extremes.]

But how rude must one be to grab like that

I...would be careful. [Rapunzel finally spoke up a little bit.]

Can you never have both?

Sure you can.

Especially if someone recognizes when they aren't making you happy. Then, they might realize their idea of what's best probably doesn't match up with reality.

[Dray used to be like this, used to be in Rapunzel's place. It was not his mother who was doing him wrong but it was still his family, in a way. The Guardian Eidions had once belonged to his pride, they all had been connected in one way or the other to the Queen Eidions' hive mind.

And then they had betrayed it, turned on their parents and siblings, started a war...from the corner of his eye, Dray could see Nava Eyka approaching, his claws stained red with the blood of his children. After a hiss, Dray shook his head and focused on the two women. He could not let his own fears interfere. He bared his teeth at Gothel.]

This is a savage world, lady...and I've got bigger teeth than you. [Then he turned to the blond woman.] It's not real, Rapunzel, she's not here. She can't make you do anything.

[Rapunzel looked over behind her briefly, the best she could do once she got out was to keep moving, maybe in time she could get out of the archway. That was all she could do in her mind, at least for the time being.

Shaking her head she started to pull again, Gothel's grip started to loosen. Once Rapunzel was free she looked on over.]</small. Let's go now, okay?

So maybe there is some hope that both can happen. I like to believe at least, if not... I guess I have things to think over.

Yeah. Just remember. Relying or expecting someone else to react a certain way ... doesn't really work out.

You can only really predict how you're going to react. So. I guess keep that in mind.

[Dray waited until Rapunzel had moved away from the older woman before he let Gothel's wrist go. The Edion gave a low growl, a warning to let Gothel know that she better back off before he uses his claws rather than his voice.

He took a step towards Rapunzel, positioning himself between her and her mother, just in case.] Lead the way.

[Rapunzel moved away, turning her head before heading off, she was planning on going back to Genessia for the time being. When she could see the archway she turned her head slightly.]

I should say thank you.

I will keep that in mind, thank you.

Do you want to come to my house for a while? I live in Fayren. I don't think you should be alone now. [He had no idea if Rapunzel lived with someone else but offering couldn't hurt.]

And it's okay, no need to thank me.

I live in Genessia, so wouldn't it be better to go to mine from here?

[It just meant more walking and she figured drinks might be a good idea sooner rather than later.]

I want to thank you anyway, maybe some cake and tea, or coffee.

There are monsters in Genessia, in Fayren everything is made of sweets. [Not to be contrary but Dray thinks Free Sweets beat monsters and walking any day.] But we can go to your house if you'll feel more comfortable there.

Hm. Well, I do like tea.

[With that, she'll make her way there, keeping an eye for the girl. Hopefully she's okay... She'll be waiting at the destination.]

I am aware of the night monsters and I would need to check on my roommate to make sure they are okay, but that other one sounds like fun as well...

[She will trust that her friend is staying indoors anyway since they don't seem to be able to get into places. So might as well explore other places.]

Let's go.

[Rapunzel didn't take too long to appear. She seemed scared but otherwise, she appeared to be okay.]

Hi there. Glad to see you.

Your room-mate has a communicator? you could leave them a message or talk to them.

[Seems like the safest and quickest option to Dray.]
