[Jihl, an exquisite specimen, was seated on the top of a cushioned chair in her apartment. She crossed one leg over the other, keeping her video on while she mused on her opinion of the current events. Precisely, none of the factions listed were worth joining.

Now that she'd been betrayed by the highest form government above her, Jihl was hard set on using her skills to do something like that again. Of course, someone would have to show her benefits.]

[He's not far from her and in fact he's just finishing up cleaning the counters for the 3rd time. It's the only thing he can do to keep himself from losing his mind completely when he has something to focus on other than the droning of this against that.]

I'm reconsidering the notion of involvement since I hadn't realized at the time there were two separate divisions vying for power.

[He's scrubbing vigorously at the annoying spot on the counter that he can't seem to get rid of. Perhaps it's all in his head.]

It's a mistake I intend to correct and quickly.

[Satsuki appears with half lidded eyes.]

[She was happy enough to hear that, her eyes casually looked over towards Yaag with a half-hearted smile. Yes, Jihl was meticulous, but not in the same way that Yaag was as she found other things more important.]

They have an idealistic fortitude. None of which will do either any good as both are terrible antagonistic of one another.

[Then she noticed how hard he was rubbing.]

Is something wrong with the counter, Yaag?

Neither of you have the tools for the job. You are simply inadequate. Hm.

[Jihl adjusted her glasses, resting her hand on her cheek and sighed a little.]

I'm not here to agitate you, but educate you on how to properly function.

[Jihl smiles lightly.]

[Out of frustration, he throws the rag into the bin next to the sink.]

No, it's nothing.

[Everything rubs him the wrong way without him realizing it. They are living together just as it was back in the Academy but this is different. In fact, it seems almost worse. In his 34 years of life, he has never been so frustrated. Well, there was another but he doesn't want to discuss it.

He steps around the breakfast bar and into the living room where Jihl sits and drops onto the couch across from her with his head back and a heavy sigh.]

We're no closer than we were when arrived. I need to do some research yet I have no idea where to begin. First, there was the mention of gods, though I saw no evidence of a religious cult anywhere that I can tell and the matters of two academies has me pondering the ideal that possibly we are caught in the middle of yet another war.

Both seem to have this facade that they are looking to create a better society though I wonder for whom and what purpose? Do we just sit back and watch the world burn or do we make the attempt to put out the fire?

[He leans up and then forward with his hands clasped between his knees.]

Colonel, perhaps it is time we assessed the situation and come to our own conclusions.

[She arched her brow a little when she saw his cleaning frustration, Jihl never remembered him because as OCD about cleaning before. When he appeared not too far from her, she switched legs and crossed one over the other. After a minute or two, she started to rap her fingers on her knee.]

If we do join a side, it must be the side most likely to win. I would prefer to side with none of them, I have been burned by enough Gods, Fal'Cie or any beings of that nature.

[Jihl was still burned by what happened to her.]

[He cares a bit too much about people to just walk away but choosing a side, it just doesn't feel natural to him at all. He barely knows his purpose and even worse is that he's not sure what he's supposed to even look for.

He shakes his head with a groan.]

I'm willing to choose to wait it out and discover the angle first. I have barely scratched anything to make any informed decision. For now, I will remain a pilot. At least there I know what my duties are instead of following blindly to a cause that may not exist.

[He scoffs then. He remembers that conversation clearly and the anger still burns.]

Should there be a god, it will gain no support from me.

[Why, Rosch, is that a bit of atheism?]

[Satsuki smiles and claps her hands.]

Ho ho, you don't say! Well this is certainly wonderful news for us underlings!

By all means, educate me, I welcome it. I would love for you to show me how it is properly done, Miss.

I would only speak reasonably to your superior.

[Jihl adjusts her glasses.]

[Jihl leaned her hand against her cheek, crossing her right leg over her left leg and moving her foot a little. She sometimes wondered if he acted so gently to her was for an act of some kind.]

Let us see who does not have enough personnel and tools for whatever side. We shall side with the winning side, given that it is advantageous for us.

[ Her superior? Ok that... That was a punch in the gut that she could feel. The false smile on her face vanishes in the blink of an eye.

Alas, she isn't winning this one.]

... Very well.

[Jihl politely smile, trying to keep up appearances. For now, she was pleased.]

My apologies, it wasn't my intention to get you too upset. I am a high-ranking military, and those below that station could not understand my stance.

[She nods in return; finding the explaination adequate- though the reveal of the military background makes her more curious. Could this lady be Jihl?]

No need to apologize; I misunderstood. I'll bring this to his attention.

[Wily doesn't seem the type to do so, but she hopes he doesn't get googly-eyed.]

[He had considered at one point just to throw it all away back home. He's heavily bound by honor to do such a thing when his purpose is for the people than for his own selfish goals. His pale lavender eyes close as he breathes.]

You're right. It's too soon to tell anyway to just make a decision that could cost us both our lives as it has back home. I don't want another repeat.

[He opens them again and leans forward.]

Nabaat, Jihl, must we be so formal?

[She smiled politely, adjusts her glasses and lightly waves.]

If he needs some form of identification, please inform him that my name is Jihl Nabaat.
