[It was confusing and unnerving to wake up in a strange cave. Even more so when she looks through the box of goodies like she went on a all-expense paid vacation.

The little wolf-eared girl stuffed the box and all its contents into a pink backpack, pulled her staff from the shallow waters, and searched a bit longer for another missing item... She growled in frustration but moved on. She can't stay here.
She made her way out of the cave and into the bright sun of a city she's never seen before. Her pair of sky blues scanned the horizon, at the people walking by, the odd lights and the most pompous pampered princess she's ever seen.

Weiss Schnee is the name this intricate play of the lights called itself. The wolf Elin listened patiently for a little while, got the bits and pieces about captive here, phone there, but then she wiped out her staff to gently prod the hologram.

Yep, definitely not real. She raised the staff higher, just enjoying the buzzing sound it makes as the projection is interfered, but not interrupted or disabled. She flips the staff around to the narrow end and carefully ppicks at the Weiss hologram's nose with the narrow end of the staff. She giggles gleefully at the childish mischief she is causing.]

[It was time to give this phone thing a try. The feed kicks on after a small bit of effort to reveal a small girl with red wolf ears and wearing what seems to be a school child's dress. After a few more moments of examining, she speaks.]

Is this working? Can anyone help me find my pennywhistle? Also, is there anyone else from the federation here?

[Haru waved as the feed appeared, she figured she might as well helped with the whole is it working thing.]

It is working, at least if you can see me waving it is.

[She grinned. Yay, a response~]

I can see you! Now, can you help me? I had a penny whistle before I woke up here. Can you help me find it?

[Literal puppy dog eyes? Check. Doing said puppy eyes over a phone? Priceless.]

Was it not on your person when you woke up?

[She paused for a moment. She knew you arrived with what people had on them after all.]

No, it wasn't. I know I had it before.

[Her big, wolfy ears scanned her surroundings.]

I had it on my backpack along with my staff. And I have my backpack and my staff, but not my pennywhistle.

Dray's immediately interested in her, as she has some traits that reminds him of his species. Her skin doesn't seem to be all covered in short fur, though, so maybe she isn't an Eidion.]

Hello! yes, it is working. I'm Dray, nice to meet you. What is the federation? The name of your village?

It's an Elin--Wait, no, it has more male-y features. It's a Popori! Wait, no, it's too human-y. What the hell is he?]

Hi, I'm Tatlyn! And no, the federation is the Valkyon Federation, an alliance of all the races in the world against the Argons invading us. And you...don't look like any one of them.

Then odds are very likely then if it's not there still, it's gone. The only things from your world you get upon arrival is what you have on your person. If you don't have it, you'll probably not find it here.

[She didn't think that was the worse way to say it at least.]

I know I had it on me. Damn... It was a memento, too.

[There was a moment where she growled like an adorable beast.]

Okay...so what is this Genessia business? The Weiss thing said we're just dropped off here. Surely that's not entirely it?

[They can both stare at each other for a few seconds trying to figure out what the other 's species is.

Nice to meet you, I'm Dray. [He blinks a few times at the explanation, so getting...any of it.] Ah. I've never heard of them. I'm a...Queen Eidion. And you?

You're a Queen?

[Heavy amounts of doubt in her voice. Perhaps it's just a titled name sort of thing. Like King Cobra.]

I'm an Elin. So what's the deal with this Genessia thing? Are we to just accept our new roles as ants in a jar and potentially experimented on?

[She acts far too calm in saying that.]

Yes. [He's thinking about his species and misunderstanding the questions but technically it isn't a wrong answer.] All my family were but they're now gone.

Yes and no. You can't leave the five cities because there are barriers around it but outside of them the rest of the universe is filled with monsters and evil spirits. We don't know who brought us here or why but we are allowed to do whatever we want.

Oh, I see. Interesting~ ...Well, also bad that they are gone. I don't have family either.

[Is it too soon for an exceptionally dark joke? As an Elin, it's hard to, but as a Priestess, she'll resist it.]

Monsters and evil spirits, huh? How dangerous are they?

[She looked to the side for a moment.]

Well we don't know the real reasons, so right now that is actually all we know. It's not all there is, I am sure, but there is no other information that has been found yet.

There's not a lot of us left, so maybe that's why a lot of peopel hasn't heard of Queen Eidions, even in my own world. Oh, sorry about yours too.

[Dray doesn't get annoyed easily, she could give it a try.]

Dangerous enough to kill people or mess with their emotions.

Penny whistle? ...Is it some kind of whistle?

[She smiles.] But sure, I'll help you find it.

Kinda! It's like if a flute and a whistle had a baby!

[She smiles back, her wolfy tail swaying off screen.] Thanks! I think it fell in the water in this cave over here.

Sounds pretty cool. When we find it, I'm going to ask for you to play something for me.

[Mavis notices the tail and just smiles.] I should bring a lamp, then. Caves are usually pretty dark. Let me go grab one and I'll be on my way!

Will do, Miss Human. See you soon!

[While she waits, Tatlyn will pace around near the entrance to the Bay. She was trying to get a feel for the nature of this world, but it all feels unnatural to her. The feeling reminds her of Velika.

Her furry ears twitch, the sounds of footsteps? Maybe even a clattering lantern? The wolf Elin looks to see who is approaching, swaying wistfully as they approach.]

[Well she might hear the very faint sound of footsteps since the young girl coming her way is actually walking barefoot. And yes, she's holding a metal lantern, though she has yet to light it up.

As soon as she spots the wolf girl, Mavis smiles and waves at her as she keeps approaching. The two little wing hair clips in her long light blond hair flutter gently as she goes.]

Hey! Ready to find your pennywhistle?

I'm Mavis, by the way.

[The elin jumps for joy as help finally arrived.]

Thank you for coming! I'm Tatlyn. I think I woke up, uhh... Over there.

[Tatlyn points into the cave and darts off into it, skipping along in a almost fairy-like fashion. Even the water could slow her down as she stops at the pod where she left the box full of weird things. The elin takes her backpack off and plops it down on the pod where it should be safe while they look.]

It shouldn't be far... Penny whistles shouldn't be able to roll around on its own.

Nice to meet you, Tatlyn.

[Mavis' eyes widen as she watches Tatlyn move. She's fast and very graceful too.

Mavis does her best to follow. She's used to climb up trees and jumps from rock to rock to cross a river. So, this is not very different. When she's caught up with Tatlyn, she stops to light up the lantern.]

Okay, let's go, then!

Hmm...

[Tatlyn scans the water closely, like some sort of laser focus piercing the rippling surface to the bottom. She slowly walks around the pod she woke up from. She looks over and beckons Mavis over.]

Shine the light here, please?

[Mavis gets closer to Tatlyn and holds the lantern above the water.]

There.

[She peers down, trying to make out the form of the musical instrument under the surface.]

Yay, that's it!

[Tatlyn knelt down and reached in so far that she was partial submerged, grabbing the wind instrument and throwing herself back up with an adorable little victory howl.]

I knew I had it! People told me I didn't have it, but clearly they never fell out of bed before.

[After a short and close examination, she brought the instrument to her lips and blew fiercely, producing a raspberry of water to dry it off.]

Great! [Well, at least, they found it pretty easily.]

[A soft chuckle at her comment about never having fallen out of bed.] They probably didn't, no.

[Mavis watches her with an amused smile on her lips, patiently waiting for her to start playing.]

[Once she feels the whistle was dried off enough, she nodded at Mavis and took a seat on the pod, positioning her fingers on the notes.]

A promise is a promise, yes?

[Tatlyn brought the tin whistle to her lips and began playing any old song. Once finished, she put the tin whistle down to gauge the reaction.]

[Mavis nods. She never doubted Tatlyn would keep her promise. She sits down too, holding the lamp in her lap. The music is soft, somewhat melancholic and peaceful at the same time. Mavis closes her eyes as she listens. When she's done, Mavis smiles softly.]

It's beautiful, Tatlyn. Are you a musician, then?

[Tatlyn stowed the tin whistle away in her backpack. Which appears to be stuffed full of extra clothes in it.]

No. I'm a Priestess. In my previous life, I was a Alter girl and a house servant. Not a slave, mind you. It was just part of my early lessons of care and discipline.

[She totally said "precious life."]
