Did Someone Call for A Doctor?

He's finally in the TARDiS in the rare moment, these days, when there is no one else aboard. He smiles at his luck and smiles broader at her welcoming song. She's missed him and he's missed her.

"Oh I know it's been too long," he murmurs, running his fingers over the console. It seems more his than not somehow today, though still not as grand as it's been redesigned. After a moment, he makes a face.

"No, I'm not just being stubborn. It's complicated alright?" And it's been complicated before, though never quite this complicated. In any case, he's not looking for a complication but a nice night at a Halloween Party with Sarah Jane. He's not even got a costume but--

The lights dim as if she's admonishing him. Well he knows she is. But he didn't ask for this. Not all of them. Not all at once. Not with himselves. It wasn't his doing.

There is a shadow in the corner that he isn't sure was there before. He half turns, expecting someone was hiding. But no... it's just a hat stand... With a coat, a soft brown hat, and a very very long scarf. He smiles and approaches it, running his thumb along the fabric. Then with a shake of his head, puts it on, flipping the scarf three times round his neck before settling the hat on his head.

He has a costume. But, more than that, he has an understanding.

"No time for navel gazing." He hops over the railing back to the console and flips a row of switches with an easy sweep of his hand. "For one thing, I look horrid in uniform." He spins a dial and waits a few seconds before lightly tapping a bell. The TARDiS trembles and jerks and he grins broadly as he feels things shift. Who says they can't travel in time and space? Granted, they're only going in one direction and a limited area-- but time and space is time and space. And there are people to meet.

"Let's fly." He pushes the lever up.

Sarah Jane

Fortunately after several wrong turns and one truely embarrassing stint in a woman's public restroom, Sarah Jane will hear the familiar sounds of a TARDiS materializing right in her living room. Once it solidifies with a solid thunk the doors will swing open and he calls out.

"Come along, Sarah." In a reasonable approximation of his voice at that time. Though it's not quite as resonant as he's long since lost the nose for it.

Rose

Wherever Rose is, she'll hear the TARDiS appear right behind her and when she turns, he'll be there, arms folded, smiling as he leans against the door. He's still wearing the clothes of his fourth face but everyone else is still in there.

"So... Rose Tyler..."

The sound reverberated in her chest, for an instance she swore it matched up with her heart beat. But it was brief as she rushed towards the familiar blue doors. When they open she half expected brown fluff, but the grey still makes her smile brightly.

"Oh, always an entrance." The tone and words were so familiar, but there was no pain to it. Shed expected an ache or two from longing but, she just shakes her head and smiles up at him. A little cheeky smirk on her lips, "I think you lost a few inches since that last time."

Just to prove it she stands up straight in front of him and brings her hand flat from her forehead to midway to his chest, "Yes, just as I thought."

Jack (and possibly Gwen?)

For some daft reason, the TARDiS lands a few blocks away from Jack and he has to go look around for him. Though the sound is loud enough that perhaps it's easy enough for Jack to find him-- the man deserves to be looked for. And looked after.

Martha

Even though the TARDiS can't travel anywhere but one direction in time (depending on who you ask because even then going in one direction, time is highly relative and tricky) it somehow manages to arrive a few moments before Martha enters the building, giving him enough time to wait at the entrance, take her hand and give her a little twirl.

"Here you are, Martha Jones. Care to join the party?"

Jack was with Gwen helping her to get into her costume. He'd also wanted his costume to make an impact on the TARDIS crew. "Gwen," he called over his shoulder, "our ride is here."

He flips up his hood and grins wickedly at Gray. "Taking the girl for a joyride Doc," he says.

Gwen (in a short black and red cocktail dress worthy of any modern Bond girl) had gotten the water pistol fixed in her holster when Jack called. She grabbed the short leather jacket she added and emerged to join Jack and 12,"Did anyone call for a Bond girl?" she went for the joke since tonight is supposed to be fun.

Well the TARDiS landed inside one of the bedrooms, so he's sure everyone knows he's there already. One of him anyway. But he makes sure that he shuts the bedroom door before spying River and dipping her in a kiss.

"Hallo, gorgeous."

"You could call it that." He grins back. "I've seen that costume before, you know. But I can't remember where." In any case he comes up to them and smacks Jack's arse because that seems appropriate somehow. He smiles at the woman.

"Gwen Cooper right? Nice to see you again. You look great but then I've always been fond of leather." He nods at the water pistol. "That thing loaded?"

"Maybe you've shrunk, ever thought of that?" He regards her. "So any particular reason for this costume? Trying for the old Cleopatra look, are you? You know you've an ancestor from that period."

Jack's grin widened at the arse slap. He was feeling loose tonight and he gave the elder Doctor a wink to boot. "Don't tell me you play video games Doc," he teases, "then again you seem like a playful kind of guy this go around."

Gwen's cracking a smile at the whole scene, everyone needs this she figured. She nods at 12,"Gwen Cooper and likewise. As for the pistol its only water."

"Oh!" He claps his hands and points. "Mario Kart! That's it!" Or so he thought. Anyway, it didn't matter. "I have my moments. And I thought as much. But keep it at the ready. You never know when a water pistol may come in handy."

That done, he taps the side of his nose in a gesture that is nostalgic to him and what he is currently wearing but likely lost on them.

"I hear tell you're heading to a Halloween Party. And if you're going my way." He holds out his arms in the style of a gentleman. "I hope you'll allow me to escort you."

Martha was having a heck of a time deciding what to wear to the party. She worried her lip a bit as she finally decided on a costume. She was just finishing adjusting her mask when she heard the whir of the Tardis.

She smiled at twelve as she took his hand, laughing softly. "Well, hi there handsome. I thought you'd never ask."

"Oh no, you won't get away with that." She folds her arms and smiles, "I'm still the same as ever."

She looked down at the outfit, "S'the only thing I could find on such short notice. Never really celebrated Halloween." Sarah looks up with wide eyes, "What? No! I can't have one. AT least I don't think I can."

She came out of her room and leaned against the doorframe, arms crossed. "I see you grew up then," she teased a bit. She was in a tailored tweed jacket, a white button down silk blouse, suspenders, a silk bowtie, red with blue swirls, the sonic shades that she never went anywhere without since she got them, and her hair spilling out under a fez. Because she was Amy she was also in a short pencil skirt and black stockings leading to shoes that...well as the saying goes "looks like a pump runs like you're with the Doctor". She was trying to make a point. Even she couldn't pull off a bow tie and fez.

Jack snorts and with a flip of his coat he bows and speaks in an accent the royal family would be proud of. "Why good sir I would be honored and so would this dear lady I am thinking."

Twiggy

He gives some pity on his poor selves. He would rather not share the stage, not a bit of it. But in hindsight, leaving them out of it isn't going to go over very well--neither with them nor the people they cared about who are now packed in the TARDiS.

So vworp vworp and she finds Ten easily. He leans out the door, flipping the scarf once more over his shoulder and raises his eyebrows in the most fourth face expression he can muster.

"Well, are you coming?"

The Great Gonzo

Vworp, vworp. Might as well make a full set. He pops out of the door, glances round, and then grabs eleven by the arm.

"Do you know the way to Constantinople? Or is it Istanbul?"

"No? Well now you can. Take advantage of it." There wasn't much else going on in this place. Until there was everything going on. Which was usually the way of it. He grins.

"What do you think? It's possible! Maybe it's true! But considering we had a ... well it was a something, things might get a little awkward down the line."

Martha

He keeps grinning though he does have a small barely significant hardly worth mentioning eensy beansy flame of panic at those words, but gone as soon as it came.

"I took my time, I'll admit. But you look fantastic. You might need a prybar to keep people away."

"It's not much different of a holiday. Least not a bank one." She's looking over the dress, spinning around a bit to let the small trail flare. The dangling beads of her head band fall in front of her eyes and she swipes them away, "Not sure how long this will last."

A something. Of course and she just rolls her eyes at him, "Of course it was just a something. Can't possibly be anything. Can I ask what the something might have been? Or is it like everything else and I have to wait and see?" She's pouting up at him now, arms folded over her chest.

The sound of the TARDIS brings River back from where she is when she's adjusting the fedora on her head, and she turns around in her Indiana Jones costume with a wide grin. She doesn't expect the kiss, but she kisses him back eagerly, before she just strokes his face with a little laugh. "Well, my love, this is a look I've not seen on you in some time."

Well, he's just on his way back home from the lab, and while he does recognize the sound, obviously, he's more expecting another awkward confrontation with his younger self, so he's actually a bit startled at Eyebrows grabbing him.

"Whot?"

He's not really used to being accosted like that. ...although since he's likely as not the one accosting someone, it probably makes sense who's doing it.

"...well, I know the way to both, since you asked."

After all, you most certainly can go back to Constantinople, with a time machine.

The King Doctor stops in his tracks wearing a nearly complete Elvis costume; including a real guitar but minus the black hair and boots. And wonders WHO is flying The Tardis and grins at seeing those old clothes and probably at more his oldest self for trying to give such a grin.

"Of course, Doctor." Ending with a tongue click.
