It's getting to be that time of year where people start making big plans for the holidays! Christmas, you know, is considered a very romantic holiday, and the perfect chance to confess your love to someone you care about.

So let's talk business!

[Because of course Minako is going to seize this opportunity, why wouldn't she? She cheerfully claps her palms together and beams.]

I know there are lots of single people here, because I got loads of applications for my matchmaking services.

[That's a lie, she only got one.]

And since the date auction we had a little while back was such a huge and popular success, I decided it's a great time to to roll one out on a grand scale. Mark your calendars: the Heart-Bursting Date Auction of Feverish Love will be held December 15th! That's a Friday night, so make sure you can get the night off if you work during that time. We'll be doing things a little differently, but it'll still be for charity, with money going to the local elementary schools. What I need from you guys is to sign up so people have dates to bid on!

[Minako whips out a little sample bid card and holds it in front of the screen, then pulls it back to point to the lines.]

I just need your name, age, whether you like boys or girls, and a little paragraph about yourself that catches the interest of potential bidders. You can leave it blank if you want me to write it for you, but it helps if you give me some ideas about what you like, what kind of hobbies you enjoy, stuff like that!

[She puts the card down.]

So is anyone planning a special holiday party? I'll happily volunteer to help out. And if not, then just leave the whole thing to me. I just need to find a space big enough for lots of people to come and dance, mingle, eat, and play some games.

[Winking, she wags a finger.]

[OOC: Like she asked, you can sign up your characters for the date auction, or with another player's permission, sign up SOMEONE ELSE for the auction. The actual sign-up will be posted after December's Butterfly event to make sure we get as many current characters as possible, but now your character can start plotting ICly if they like and sending in their submissions prior to the party/auction. LOTS of people. Way too many to list! I'd give you names and testimonials, but the only ones I know of personally were from my world. That's why I'm bringing the same miracle of love to this one.

After... last time I don't think I should be a auctioned off. However, I suppose I could attend to bid on a bachelor if you wish. I am relatively well off, so perhaps this would be a better way for me to support the community.

While normally I'd be happy to participate in a date auction, and let myself be auctioned off for charity, I already bid on someone in your last auction, and it'd simply be rude of me to run off into another auction on them.

What I do have to talk to you about is fairly important though, and that's the date you've chosen. You've chosen the evening of the 15th of December correct? That is also the day I was planning to hold my bath house party for Fairy Tail, and anyone other lady who wants to join. While I don't mind you choosing the same day, you might not be able to get as large an audience if you do so. I have at least nine different ladies who want to attend, many of which could be potential members of your auction.

My question to you is this, do you want to change the day? Or do you wish to hold the event at Fairy Tail? We have a stage, and I'd be able to sell alcohol to people attending the auction. THe bath party can occur before hand, that way our ladies can also look their best before the auction. So what do you think? Hmm... I wonder though, are you yourself going to enter the auction? Or do you already have a mister or miss right?

Let me think it over. I love the setting, but it's not great on electricity, so I'd have to make sure I could arrange details like music and a place to keep the food cold, things like that. But the time can definitely take place later at night.

What are you talking about? *I* wasn't here for any other auctions, except the one I did as a trial basis earlier in the month, and people jumped all over it. Clearly there's a demand!

[Minako nods vigorously; she's just as big a sap about this sort of thing, if not bigger.]

Being in love makes you feel complete. There's nothing in the world that compares to that feeling!

Oh I wouldn't worry too much about that! It will be mid December, if we just opened the window in the kitchen the food would stay cold, but the Fairy Haven guild hall was built with a mixture of Fayren magic and Nova innovation. You shouldn't have too many problems with anything like electricity, and Blair and I are excellent singers, and I also play the guitar. Rest assured, I want to do everything I can to make sure your event goes off without a hitch.

No. We didn't. I was never contacted by either bidders again, and I am under the impression that someone went to a great deal of trouble with a great deal of money just to play an elaborate joke on me. Well they succeeded, because I have been thoroughly soured by the experience, and given my history with 'romance' I very much suspect I shall die a tired, bitter, old maid.
