[Angela doesn't seem to be fazed by this event for some reason, which makes her more on top of things by seeing strange things happen again. She's just a little confused of what exactly is happening. What are the symptoms of this strange phenomenon and what's the pattern to connect it all together? Once she can figure that out, she can figure out a way to help out anyone in need of it.

But while she's sitting in her office, she has another purpose for addressing people besides the event. With the Holidays upon them, she had the idea to do something for it before things got a little strange again.]

Hello everyone. I know something is going on, but I have yet to figure out just what is affecting this mood shift for many people the past day or so. If there's anything I can do to help, I'd like to do what I can.

But while I figure that out, I just wanted to ask if anyone was interested in a Christmas party once things die down? I love the holiday for many reasons and while giving presents to those you care for are a tradition these days, I think my favorite thing about the holidays is spending time with friends and family. Gifts are nice, but I think those closest to you and making memories are more important. I think this would be a good way to spend some time together and mingle. It might even be a good time to make some new friends.

In the meantime, how do you guys spend your holidays, if you celebrate Christmas? I'd love to hear from you.

[And with that, she'll end it with a smile and a polite wave goodbye before turning it off to do other things.]

[Later at home, Angela was thinking about getting some decorations to liven things up for the holiday, but she didn't have much yet. She found some lights at the very least, but then she thought about making some decorations since she didn't have any here yet. So while she's not the most artistic/crafty person out there, she's having a bit of fun while starting to make some cute ornaments of friends from back home and even of some she's met here.

[this woman responded in video, and still a touch disoriented and sore from yesterday, Cloud had meant to answer to this in the form of audio, not quite realizing that the camera was on. what Angela would see was a blond young man with a small cut over his left eye and a couple of bruises. he looks tired (and got mugged by one of the first people he'd met here who happened to help him out before.)]

This happen often? [the whole 'randomly changing people' thing? Cloud's still fairly new here.]

No, not this in particular. Strange things happen from time to time, but I haven't seen this happen yet. Usually there's a pattern to follow and figure out the cause, but this case is just... so irregular so it makes it harder to diagnose the cause.

Are you in need of healing?

(Maybe this is what Prompto warned me about...)

[like the time that monsters were around. if that was the only time, that is. irregular events that happened. so what this woman was saying was... something happened to Yang that day? he wasn't happy about it, and still planned on finding some way to pay her back, even if she literally stole all of his swords leaving him with nothing but his fists.

[have the video on? he did. ...he looks slightly embarrassed, but he supposes now that he's here, he'd popped his own shoulder back in place after his scuffle. but there wasn't a lot he could do about the bumps, bruises and cuts from harsh punches. he didn't have an 'aura' so to speak. just tough skin. maybe he'd ask for Materia for Christmas (put that on the Wishlist)]

Yeah. Got roughed up by someone. Guessing it's because of this whole mood shift.

[She couldn't help but chuckle lightly. She was in her office at the time, but her Valkyrie suit was nearby just in case something happened. At least her Caduceus staff and blaster were small enough to fit near her, so he might see the staff in the background.]

I'm assuming that's the cause, yes. I can heal your wounds if you'd like? I'm currently in Genessia City, but I can go where I need to.

No thanks. Don't have time to be holed up in a hospita-

[listen to what she said again, Cloud. his voice trails off as he catches a glimpse of the staff in the background of her video. the blond blushes slightly at how quick he was to jump the gun. healing as in...with magic? if there was no Materia here, what did Angela use?]

Sorry. [spoken with sincerity as he flinches slightly as he holds his ribs off camera.] I'm still at those apartments they give you when you get here. [so luckily? in Genessia City.] Can you heal me? I can come to you.

[She's already getting up. So she'll be walking out of view from the feed, but there was the sound of light armor. Shortly after, she reached for the blaster on the desk and the staff in the background as she finally grabbed for the phone.]

Okay. I'll be there shortly. [Thankfully the hospital isn't too far away for him, so she won't take long.]

Wait, I can-

[and she's already off. taking a moment, he sits down at the edge of his bed as his vibrant gaze stares down at his phone in disbelief. he hadn't been expecting any of this... everyone was here to help. was...this place really as nice as it seemed despite being 'kidnapped' here? granted he'd just got mugged and lost his most important weapons, but details. immediately after that, this woman was already on her way in a bid to help him.]

... must be part of the job. [he had no idea.]

[the hospital wasn't much distance from where he lived, enough so that if he wanted to, Cloud could have walked there. he's outside now, not wanting to run the risk of accidentally missing her on the way, he stops outside. despite the beatdown he took, Cloud was still standing tall. it was far from the worst thing he'd been through, but taking shotgun-accelerated punches to the body wasn't exactly something he planned on revisiting. he tried washing himself up as best as he could, any blood gone from his body. but he was still bruised both inside and out, and he wasn't exactly walking the straightest. if he had a few more days, he'd likely heal up on his own, his body naturally strong.

but for now, he'll stand there in silence, contemplating his predicament and where to go from here. ...ah, that's right. who was this woman? he really should have gotten a name. least he have a name to thank her by.]

[Angela knows exactly how it feels to come during a dangerous time. Her first time here was pretty bad as well. She knows where the apartments are, so it doesn't take too long for her to get there. She decided to put on part of her Valkyrie suit, just in case she needed flight for whatever reason and fast response. Normally she wouldn't have cared, but considering how unpredictable things were now, she figured it was better safe than sorry.

So there she was, approaching the injured blonde with a friendly wave. He really did take a beating... Well, at the very least, he'd feel better after she healed him up. The yellow beam from her staff seemed to patch up his wounds and once she saw they'd been patched up...]

Are you feeling better? Is there any other pain or discomfort? [Call it either motherly instincts or just doctor's habits to see if there were any other problems.]

[the blonde woman isn't too hard to spot, with her staff and what appeared to be aspects of...armour? Cloud was surprised by this, standing there before her as a light breeze caught his clothing as the flow of fabric that draped his leg flowed along with the wind. he stopped right where he was, letting Angela come to him as he could only watch with wide mako blue eyes.

usually Cloud and doctors/scientists didn't tend to get along, but in this case when it came to someone who literally offered to heal him? he'd make an exception. when she waved at him, he half smiles. did she come prepared like this in case anything else happened? it was times like this that he wished he had his swords. he had great physical strength...but he'd been fighting with them for so long that he'd begun to realize how flawed he was as a fighter. she didn't seem to care much however, otherwise she wouldn't have been here. she just wanted to take care of him.]

Wow... [after the yellow beam that came from her staff patched him up, the swelling in his body and the little cuts here and there all but began to vanish. no doubt he'd feel some form of phantom soreness for a short bit, but actual physical pain? Cloud rolled the same shoulder he'd dislocated, only to be met with no pain at all. any blemishes were severely if not completely reduced. he looked down to his hands, clenching them as if he felt strength returning to his body. it really was amazing... this was nothing like any cure spell he was used to, but it worked so well. and she did it so willingly...]

I uh...never got your name. I mean, thank you. I just... [he wasn't sure what to feel right now. Cloud kept his composure as best as possible, his gaze returning to her as he lets out a little huff of a sigh. job or not, he was indebted to her. whatever happened now? she had an ally in him.] That was quicker than I thought.

[It was simply habit to mother hen everyone. When your teammates liked to go in recklessly and you had to make sure they stayed alive, it became second nature to worry; It also tended to make her have less patience than she would have normally at times. Seeing he was okay now, she couldn't help the warm smile.]

It's no problem. It's become sort of a habit for me to watch out for other people's well being. I suppose being a field medic and a doctor will do that to you over time. It's just good to see you're okay now.

[Offering her hand.]

I'm Angela Ziegler, but my friends back home called me Mercy. I'll answer to either one.

That'll do it. [when she offers her hand, Cloud doesn't hesitate to return the gesture, shaking her hand with a firm grip. at least she could feel for herself that he had his strength back. there's life in those eyes of his yet as he nods.]

My name's Cloud Strife. [~~former SOLDIER, 1st Class~~, mercenary turned freedom fighter ~~terrorist~~ turned delivery boy.] I really owe you one, Angela.

I've been noticing weird stuff too! People's personalities are all acting strange!

[ Not like Konoka can talk, even if her differences are more subtle than most. ]

But I've been here for a while so things like that happen somewhat often.

The people here often throw a party at least once a season, but I am interested if you have any ideas! I might be able to pass them along!

[She's glad to see he's going better now, at the very least.]

It's nice to meet you, Cloud. It's no problem. I just want to see that people are well and healthy. Have you been told about how things are here yet?

So it seems personalities are the main change with this event huh? I know these types of things happen, but I'm just looking into it to make sure that everyone is okay until it passes.

Ah, I see. I have no actually ideas just yet, but i was going to think about ideas for one.

Yeah. The last one I went to was a winter ball. It was great! But maybe if you want to vary the theme or provide some sort of services, I'm sure you can work it out with Genessia's planners.

Yeah. A girl named Belle gave me a map while Yang... [he hesitates when he says that name for a moment, realizing his mistake as he keeps talking.] Yang gave me some tips on how to use this thing. [the communicator that is, though he'd just messed up and shown himself to Angela in the first place when he meant to use audio. ...a blessing in disguise, really.]

Guess that means you've been here for a while?

[The Doctor smiles to himself, obviously amused at that way of describing it.]

You've been seeing a few cases, then, I gather, have you had any of them in clinically, had a chance to inspect them? Signs of infection orrr telepathic parasites, maybe, don't really think so, but best we should be thorough, yeah?

[He lights up at the topic of Christmas, though.]

And yes, love a good Christmas party, don't often get to go, something always seems to come up, but I have done a few times, more recently, definitely looking forward to it! Have many friends, here, do you?

On other occasions yes, but it's hard to pin point when there are so many different cases going on right now.

I haven't been able to inspect them personally yet, no. It's well noted though. I'd like to be thorough and figure out the case for this, but as far as I've seen, there haven't been signs like that; a closer inspection could prove otherwise though.

[She'll definitely keep that in mind.]

I hear that. I'm usually pretty busy myself since a doctor's job is never truly done. I haven't met too many people just yet, but I'm definitely looking forward to a good chance to mingle with others.

That sounds like it would be a lot of fun actually. I wonder if that's an option this year as well..?

To be honest, I've always been really busy, so I wasn't able to make it to a lot of parties back home so I'd have to think about it. I guess in retrospect, it wouldn't hurt to ask about ideas for one in the end. I mostly just want to make it an opportunity to spend time with people you care about and make new friends in the process.

[She noticed the hesitation, but decided not to probe.]

I've been here for a few months, yes. It would be good to try to find a job and place to stay, but luckily they provide shelter for a few months while you try to figure things out. Finding a job isn't too difficult here, either. [Well, it's easier when you're a qualified doctor back home and have a guaranteed job.]

Well, always glad to make another friend, oh speaking of, don't think I caught your name, I'm the Doctor, hello.

[The Doctor raises a hand to waggle his fingers at her in greeting.]

If you need a place to visit for Christmas, I've got friends in the area, quite a few, I'm sure we'll be doing something. And if you do learn anything more about what's going on, I'd appreciate if you could get in touch, there're a few of me, here, bit complicated, but I'm the one with the impeccable fashion sense.

[He grins, there, tugging demonstratively at his bow tie.]

A few of you? How is that possible, if you don't mind me asking?

Ah, well, timelines out of sync, story of my life, really, but more so than usual, think of it like past and future lives, if y'like, still causally linked, but a little looser than, say, you and yourself from yesterday, gives us a little more leeway crossing our own timeline, but still best to avoid it, normally. 'course, this place's clearly acausal to our own native universes, so don't worry, it's really not likely to implode or anything drastic like that.

That's really intriguing. I've heard timelines can be a screwy topic here overall. I haven't seen anyone from my world yet, but other people have brought it up before.

Gosh, can't wait for the next party then! I'm eager to meet new people just like you.
