WHAT: (AU event) What if Augustine Sycamore didn't become a Pokemon Professor, but remained a Pokemon trainer?
WARNINGS: Nothing so far.
[Action/Solo] Changed
[It was a fine winter day in Genessia and Professor Sycamore can't help but admire the snowflakes all around him. The last time he saw these was when he was started living in this strange world. And just staring at them was enough to warm his heart.
Though it wasn't enough to convince him to relax as he turned his attention to the strange mask when he rummaged through his belongings inside his bag before he heads out for work. He never saw it before and he was certain that this wasn't his's. Being a curious man as he is, he slowly takes a closer look at it. Instead, it suddenly attaches itself to the poor professor's face. He tries to pull it out, but the mask's magic began to rewrite his own identity before it disappears.
What it left was Sycamore still have his eyes widened and frozen in shock. But when he came to, he stares at his bag, which his expression turned into confusion when he saw the contents.]
Strange... Why am I still standing around here?
[Why indeed. But that's not the only thing that was noticeable. In fact, he takes one good look at his watch and gasps in shock.]
Mon Dieu! Look what time it is! I have to go before they will forget their daily training session.
[With that, he dashes off through the door with his bag, heading off to training.
Wait, what?!]
[Action] Something's Not Right
[Usually for Sycamore, he often rushes off to GRSF to continue his usual job as a Pokemon Professor. But for some reason today, he is in the Garden Parks with a black jacket on his usual blue shirt with his Bruxish swimming as fast as his can. What's even stranger was that despite looking at his watch many times, he didn't bother to realize that he was late for work.
But to those who knew the Pokemon Professor, they may witness this just as his Bruxish returned to him as he panted in exhaustion.]
Good job, Bruxish. But after your break, we might need to work on your speed.
[While to the others who didn't know him ignore this, Garchomp on the other hand, witnessed this in shock. She only got out of her Poke Ball to see her trainer despite the cold temperature, but she is shocked at his sudden interest in training his Pokemon. Not to mention that he is really late.
She wasn't a stranger to this changed behavior, though. From his emotions drained by spirits to becoming a creature of the night, Garchomp became aware of what is happening to Sycamore. Problem is that she can't point out what is wrong or how it happened. But all she can do is to use her claws to write down a message on the snow, which her trainer is oblivious to his Mach Pokemon's appearance.
Though if you managed to notice the blue shark/dinosaur Pokemon whimpering in worry, she points to the ground where she wrote a shaky, but readable message.]
HELP PROFESSOR SYCAMORE ACTING STRANGE -->
[The arrow then points to her trainer continuing commanding his Pokemon. Judging by her worried look, she is completely worried and scared at her trainer right now.]
[Video] A Confusing Occupation
[The video starts with Augustine back in his apartment. Though he is scratching at the back of his head before he starts to speak.]
I'm sorry for interrupting, but I need to clear this confusion for a second.
Lately, some of the residents here are calling me "Professor Sycamore" for no reason. And... I'm confused since I'm not really a Pokemon Professor. I doubt I even took that job at all. I'm just a simple Pokemon trainer and that's it.
Then again, Garchomp somehow keeps staring at me. Like she is worried that I'm sick or depressed.
I-I'm sorry... I'm just rambling about what I've been through for a couple of days lately. I just hoped someone could give me the answers about this.
[Action] Holographic Training
[Eventually the next day, Sycamore (or Augustine as he likes to call himself in this AU state) visits the Holodeck'd to train his Garchomp and his Venusaur, Graine as the cold temperature won't fare well for any of them. Whether if he's using a forest or mountain simulation, he trains both of them on mastering several strategies he came up for any future battles. He even let them fight each other in a spar to see how they were able to test their skills.
As for Garchomp, she managed to get used to her trainer's sudden change of character as she tries to fight off any doubts in order to continue her training. As long this is not permanent, she prays that he can come back to his nice, yet adorkable Pokemon Professor persona.]
[OOC: So long story short, Professor Sycamore is no longer a Pokemon Professor for the event. Instead, he is just an experienced Pokemon trainer who tends to get confident and a little arrogant due to his complete use of Mega Evolution.
Also note that in his AU backstory, he owned a Charizard, Chesnaught, Aegislash, and Sylveon along with Garchomp and he won a League Conference in his AU past. So expect him to mention his 'previous' Pokemon several times in this event.]

I can't really give you answers. I know you as a professor as well. What am I supposed to even call you aside from "professor"...? Are you really sure you're just a trainer?

And yes, I haven't had any plans to become a Pokemon Professor at all. I don't know why I even have to when I have more to do as a trainer.

[She can't help but state so, because it does. Even if she's sure that Sycamore isn't that much older than her, even if they're both adults, it's hard for Tori to not see him as an older man who managed to get her respect. Being so casual almost seems disrespectful to her when they aren't all that close, but what else can she do if he's insisting that he's not a professor of any sort?]
From all my interactions with you, you just have that nurturing vibe to you. You know, the kind that wants to pass the knowledge you have onto other people. Maybe that's why you would?

To be honest, I felt like I'm not ready to pass knowledge to anyone yet. Besides, as a trainer, I have more to accomplish outside of Mega Evolution.
