There's a paperboy riding through the streets of Genessia flinging newspapers onto doorsteps or, if you're unlucky, through your window. Even remote locations in the other cities will still get a paper if one of the residents ever wanted one. The Paperboy is just that dedicated.]

The Most Busy Time Of The Year


A lot of the most popular toys are being sold out as soon as they hit shelves in some stores this holiday season. Some aren't expected to get certain shipments in until next year. So it may be hard to get a Laugh with me Betty for a good boy or girl this year if you don't already have one lined up.

Two Christmas parades will be held in two separate cities soon. The first is on Friday, the 22nd. That parade will be held in Genessia City. It is expected to go on for several hours and the streets that the parade will go through will be marked so that people know which streets are going to be blocked off.

Another is also being held on the 23rd in Nova City. Routes that are being taken will be marked for this one as well so that people can plan around it accordingly. Like the one in Genessia City, this one is expected to go on for several hours.



All New for the Holidays!

It's here, it's hot, you've been asking about it! The new line of City Guardian and Deputy Guardian action figures is out, just in time for the holidays! Here's our review of the new line of Guardian Toys' Heroes of Genessia series.

Genessia City Series
David Haller: The new Haller toy comes with sounds that change based on which power attachment you're using with him. Now with three new attachments. Hand laser beams (pew pew sounds), a green glow for around his head to signify mind powers (makes kind of a wobbling noise), and a few objects that attach to his hand via detractable string so that you can pretend he's bringing the objects to him (fwip!). His eyes also light up when you press a button on his back.

Karla: Now with combable and brushable hair, Karla comes attached with a sword and various catch phrases when you flip the switch on her back. The catch phrases seem to have been liberties from the manufacturer though, as no one is quite sure when Karla actually said "It's time to get your Justice Desserts."

Aeslyn Blackrose: The Aeslyn toy is available for purchase with multiple job-types. There are three Aeslyns available: Culinarian, Blacksmith, and Tailor. Each of these come with accessories (such as a pan, a hammer and anvil, etc.)

Lea: Lea is unique as he's the only one of the Genessia series to come with a vehicle he's never been seen with. Lea comes with a monster truck. We're not sure why, but the side of the truck says "FOR THE GOOD OF ALL" and the cartoon commercial features him running over a bad guy's tank with it.

Enis Edrin: Enis's toy comes with her motorcycle and a laptop accessory. The motorcycle lights up in an almost Tron-esque fashion and makes laser noises when you run the wheels along a surface.

Attleton Series
Cassian Andor: The Cassian Christmas Edition comes with interchangeable jackets! He comes with a standard fuzzy jacket, a doctor's coat, a eskimo jacket, a greaser jacket, a trenchcoat, and a Christmas sweater with two Rudolphs touching noses on it. It also comes with three miniature guns, including a sniper rifle, a M80, and a machine gun turret.

Dante Sparda: The Dante toy is unique in that it comes with a fold-out food truck. The food truck opens up to reveal a miniature Easy Bake Oven. It comes with enough ingredients for three miniature pizzas, as well as recipes to continue making more on your own.

David Jordan: DEP-U-TIES, AIRPLANES IN DISGUISE! No one is quite sure why Jordan's back opens up and he physically transforms into a fighter jet, but he does. It seems like a cool enough super power right? Maybe he'll get bit by a radioactive airplane one of these days and he'll match the figure.

K-2SO: So you know how Cassian comes with a machine gun turret? It turns out, K-2SO has little notches on his shoulders for that turret to attach. If you get both Cassian and K-2SO, you can attach them and have Cassian ride around on his deputy's shoulders to shoot bad guys. Put on their matching holiday sweaters and have a holly jolly reign of terror and justice.

Han Solo: After extensive research, the Han Solo figure comes with what's called a "blaster" from his world and a disc-shaped ship called the Millenia Hawk.

Mobius: The Mobius figure comes with a beam sword for Mobius to hold, but that's not the best accessory it comes with. A fuzzy corgi pal comes alongside mobius. The corgi barks whenever the beam sword is too far to prevent you from losing track of it.

Everglade Series
Grell Sutcliff: The Grell toy comes with a chainsaw that moves back and forth when you press the button and also has 6 changeable outfits- including formal dresses modeled after dresses Grell herself has been seen in! How chique!

Marco: Huh. It seems like someone messed up this figure, it's just a blue bird... Huh.

Remilia Scarlet: Remilia Scarlet's action figure seems to come with laser beams that shoot from her hands as well, in alternating colors. But more fascinating is the fact that there is a pull switch on her back that can open up her mouth like a Pez dispenser and reveals sharp vampire teeth with which to dig into her enemies! Oh no!

Seth Rim: Seth comes with a changeable face, much like figma dolls, and changeable hands. He has a sweet smile, a smirk, half-lidded eyes and a scowl, and a winking face with the tongue sticking out. In addition, Seth also comes with a pair of cat ears that lock into his hair. Meow?

Hikaru Takeda: Oh what, a multilingual Guardian!? Takeda says the catch phrase "Justice is served! Hiya!" in Japanese, American English, Mandarin & Cantonese Chinese, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Arabic, Portuguese, Russian, Latin, Greek (both modern and Ancient), the Bobileth alphabet, Enochian, Etruscan, Futhark, Gothic, Hebrew, Malachim, Runic and Theban. She also has a button that causes an action kick-punch to send her enemies flying into the atmosphere!

Maribelle: Maribelle stands atop a stand made of the books of law! But be careful taking her off of them, removing her from the law books will activate her toy's special ability! A red light turns on to light her face red and she shakes with the might of an earthquake! Watch out! The rage of the law is coming for you!

Fayren
Mavis Vermillion: Mavis comes with brushable hair and various magical runes that you can have her stand on. But more importantly, she comes with fairy wings that use LED lights to glow back and forth between an effervescent blue and pink! Don't forget the amazing pointing action!

Qubine: Load Qubine up through the underside with plastic fire beams and fire at will! The beams will come out of his mouth to slay his enemies! Qubine's tail is also positionable using a wire within it so you can have it ready to strike or pose him to hang on your clothing wire.

Alice Margatroid: Alice's toy is a little different than the rest. Rather than an action figure, hers is an ode to her doll army. Alice is a porcelain doll with glass eyes that open and close depending on whether the doll is lying down or sitting up. Be careful not to submerge in water though and use dry shampoos only to care for her hair. We accidentally tried to give her a bath and the water made the eyes stick... but she's fine as long as you care for her properly!!

Nova City
Garrus Vakarian: Garrus comes complete with a UFO spaceship, sure, but that isn't his coolest feature. Scan the QR code on Garrus's feet with your communication device and it'll install an app that identifies basic tech called CalibGreat. The corner features a picture of Garrus that pops up with a speech bubble that says the name of whatever tech piece you have in your camera view. "Cell phone!" "Centrifuge! That's a good one!" "Pipe bomb!" However, when tried with sexual technology we found it just responds with "Error: Entry not found." Oops.

Mercury Black: This new edition of the Mercury figure comes dressed in shorts to show off the reveal of Mercury's legs. Cyborg kids everywhere will be delighted to have a hero just like them! The legs themselves are made with small metal pieces, but are well-welded together. They do, however, screw off in case you're willing to pay extra for the special addition waterproof Mermaid Tail. Keep your bath time safe too!!

Satsuki Kiryuin: Satsuki comes with both her regular outfit and a traditional kimono you can change her into. Though she was intended to have a changeable expression, it appears that a manufacturing error resulted in the figures all being stuck in an expression that can only be described as >:( Having decided that this seemed accurate enough, the toy company decide to keep it as-is.

Grievous: A light-up light saber for every hand, Grievous comes combat ready! However, just be careful not to leave him in hot areas. It seems like the material he was made of can sometimes cause deformities and result in a very strange noodly form. Also comes with six detachable capes in every color of the rainbow!

Heartless Murderer

The body of elderly woman, Petunia Hargrove, was found dead in her Everglade home with her chest sliced open and heart removed. The murder is estimated to have taken place two days prior to the discovery of her corpse. Officials have stated that there are no signs of forced entry, indicating that the murderer was someone the woman might have known, or allowed into her home. Given the nature of Everglade, police aren't ruling out supernatural factors such as hypnosis or telekinetic methods. As of now, there are no details or clues about the identity of the culprit.
