NEWSPAPER - BIWEEKLY EDITION
[Did you subscribe to The Genessia Tribune? Did you even remotely wish you had a newspaper or some other form of media to refer to for news, weather, and current events? Then you're in luck! There's a paperboy riding through the streets of Genessia flinging newspapers onto doorsteps or, if you're unlucky, through your window. Even remote locations in the other cities will still get a paper if one of the residents ever wanted one. The Paperboy is just that dedicated.]

2017
2017 has been a busy year for all of Genessia's cities. In Fayren City, Mages have had it rough this year. The Chimera Infection ran rampant for a short time. But not only that, two guilds met their end. One, Ravenguard a group of skilled and powerful magic users. The other, Magicgarde, a group that has been dedicated to fighting not only fighting the infamous terrorist group the Hands of Decay, but also people that wage war against magic as a whole. Both were seemingly massacred, though the crime scenes had lots of blood, no bodies have ever been located.
Nova City saw the resignation of longtime City Guardian Weiss Schnee and the rise of the first Co-Guardian team. Aster Technologies grew as a company by buying out smaller businesses. Genessia City was treated to an attack from large sea creature like monsters.
Creatures from outside of the barrier have gotten inside to wreak havoc. Pokemon have appeared for another year and offered a delightful break from regular routines so that people could capture and train them. This year has brought many things for many people, both good and bad. And while bad things will never stop happening, neither will good things.
2017 is just hours away from stepping out the door and 2018 is about to take its place. Everyone should take the time to reflecting on all that had happened as well as let their anticipation for what is to come bubble to the top.
WARNING: Blizzard Incoming
The Genessia Weather Service has issued a severe weather warning. A blizzard is expected to roll in in the next few days, and it will be a bad one. Power Outages can be expected to happen with this type of weather as well as property damage and just general hazardous conditions. This weather warning is in effect for all cities.
Due to the fact that we have a few days warning, it is highly advised that you get somewhere safe before the storm starts. Make sure you have plenty of supplied to help get you through the days. Along with heavy snow fall and severely cold temperatures, high winds are being expected as well. With the weight of the snow on certain objects, the wind could easily help them break and fall over. So try to keep out of any areas where that might be a danger.
Higher Altitude housing is expected to receive even harsher winds, so if you live in a building that fits that criteria, you may want to relocate until the storm is over. Stores are expected to start putting out extra stock for the impending rush of people that need to stock up on food.
