Residents of Genessia and Neighboring Cities,

If you were to happen to be well-aware that someone in our midst was a very bad person, what do you do? The person in question has done a number of things that might be considered.. misguided by some. Terrible and worthy of a life sentence in prison by others, like myself!

Retaliating might start that war up here because he's completely incapable of looking at the present instead of what my family may or may not have done to his people. I don't want to get other people involved if he really intends to not start trouble here, though I can't be sure. It seems like he hasn't done anything here, but it feels wrong for someone to get away with heinous crimes committed by the group he works with and likely him specifically.

I don't ask for help often, but lately I've found it's best to consider what other people want instead of just my own judgment without thinking things through. What what do all of you think is the best course of action?

So what's the guy's name? Because I think I might know him. [And if it is who he thinks it is, then he knows who the poster is as well.]

That is quite a difficult question and it sounds like it has a very grey origin. How can one give sound advice without knowing all the information?

The whole point of this being anonymous was so that I didn't call him out and start something before I decided what to do, you know!

The person in question works with a group that's committed theft, murder, kidnapping, and other various acts of terrorism. He's clearly stated that he has no problem with people fearing him and he would rather have fear than respect.

Why?

Is there any reason that would make that okay to you?

His people aren't respected the way they should be, so instead of doing reasonable things and peaceful protests to get respect he joined a terrorist group. But the people who get hurt? They aren't always the ones who've done anything, especially not recently in our world.

As I stated, how can one offer advice without knowing all the story? To do otherwise is just lipservice to make someone else feel better.

So why aren't these people being respected? What kind of treatment have they endured that some feel that violence is warranted? What does your family have to do with it?

Knowing the whole story doesn't excuse terrorism. I'm not trying to make myself feel better. There's not a chance in the world that I would feel bad about putting him where he belongs. My question is whether or not it would be right to pursue justice here for his past crimes before I know if he's going to continue them. But you want to know the story? Sure. I'll tell you what I know.

His people are physically different and are discriminated against because of it. A lot of people treat them poorly and I used to be one of them, but I've learned that they aren't all bad. My reasons were because all I've ever known of that group was that they hurt people, that I'd suffered through my childhood because of them even though I hadn't done anything. It just made me hate all of them instead of making me think that they deserved to be treated like people. There are plenty of good people of their type and I've learned that through my own experiences with them once I got away from my family, but the terrorist organization? Not one of them.

My family and friends aren't the only people who get hurt in their illegal activities and I may not know to the extent of what they say about my family is true but even if it is? Two wrongs don't make a right! Not when they just want to destroy humans altogether instead of work toward a better future. Definitely not when they've got the daughter of the family they specifically target actually liking a number of people in that group and thinking of trying to help once she inherits everything. If what they say is true, anyway. If it's not, there's not a lot I can do but either way? It won't be because of a bunch of terrorists. I'd be doing it because I think those that I've come to know are worth fighting for.

So no, no matter what their story is it doesn't excuse their behavior. His or any of the other terrorists.

It's hard to say one way or the other. But I think, in order for this person to look at the present instead of the past, it's important to do the same. If it's who I think it is, I don't think he's a bad person, and he's making a genuine effort to cooperate with other people living here. I don't think initiating a fight will solve anything. But if you need someone to talk to in private, I'd be happy to listen. --Orihime Inoue

Really? Because if you're thinking of the same person you might want to consider that he tried to con a young girl in the past week. He was stopped that time but he's obviously not entirely done with his criminal ways.

I don't think starting a fight is going to solve anything. But reporting him to the authorities before someone else gets hurt? That might be a good start.

Yeah, but I am pretty sure I know who it is. You gave enough details for at least that, but I could be wrong, though.

Okay, I will put it like this. There is a guy from my world here. He's part of a group that might as well be labeled as terrorist for the things that they have done. He still believes in the same things that he has always believed in, and he doesn't seem to feel remorse or regret from the things that he has done in my world.

Now there is a girl here from my world. Her family has had problems with this group. I know the girl hates the group for what they do and have done.

The guy that is here from my world hasn't committed any crimes here as far as I know. So, I don't think there is any reason to move against him. The guy should be watched and we should make sure he doesn't revert back to his old ways. If he does, then I say kick his butt and take him down. If he doesn't, then as hard as it may be, he should be left alone.

If the girl did go stir up trouble with him and attempt to make him pay for what he did, a lot of other people would be dragged in cause has a lot of people watching her back.

Weiss begs to differ, since she's only had two conversations with him and that means 50% of them have been him trying to hurt her friend. ] He already tried to con Ruby out of a lot of money and that was only the second time I talked to him. You say he hasn't done anything here, but since this place clearly doesn't discriminate against faunus anywhere near as much as they do back home, he could easily get a normal job instead of trying to trick people into giving him way more money than he deserves.

But.. [ Admitting other people always had a point was difficult, especially since she knew that if she was 100% sure of her convictions in this case she wouldn't have made a post asking for advice. She can't discount it if she asked for it, and she knows that. ] I don't want to drag other people into this, even if I don't think he should get away with what he's done.

That's..deceitful. But let's be honest. There are some business that price gouge. Not saying what he did was right or anything, but it's something that happens in business.

I didn't think you would want to. He's not worth it, at least not here he isn't. I hate the White Fang too for what they do. I mean, I'm not completely innocent when it comes to committing crimes..but I think stolen fruit and a stolen ride on a ship isn't anywhere near as bad as some of the things he must have done.

$50 for a couple of boxes of cookies from the grocery store is a little more than price gouging and taking advantage of Ruby apparently not knowing any better isn't an excuse when he knew full well what he was doing was wrong!

No, it's definitely not.. That kind of stuff, even if I don't agree with it, it's forgivable but the White Fang definitely isn't.

[It doesn't take long for him to figure out who sent the anonymous message, so rather than talking there, Ozpin will be sending Weiss a message completely separate from her post.]

[ Weiss takes note of this whole situation and decides that she needs to learn to be a little more subtle next time she anons. Maybe she'll have to find some way to practice that.. ]

[ Weiss visibly jumps and closes the communicator. Even if she honestly should've been able to pay attention to Ruby, she was a little more concerned with other things so she wasn't exactly concentrating. ]

I assume you mean Mister Taurus. Yes. He is. However, as of now, he has not made any move to enforce the White Fang's ideologies in this setting. I must admit, the general reaction to Faunus in a world devoid of them has been surprisingly pleasant.

I know your feelings on the matter, Miss Schnee, however, I do not believe it is wise to take any action at this point.

Ruby was the one who suggested it. His original asking price was $100, she talked him down! Her bartering skills are not top notch.

I will. I'm well aware of what members of the White Fang are capable of. Going alone isn't an option even if I wanted to.

That's what I've decided too, sir. I don't feel safe with him around, and he did try to con Ruby so it isn't as though he's done nothing wrong. However... unless he does something really wrong I won't propose that we do anything.

From what I understand of his exchange with Ruby, she was the one that suggested it. Ruby is... well... Ruby.

That said, I am not asking you to forgive or forget. As others have pointed out, he shows no remorse, or sign of changing as I had hoped this situation might facilitate. I have him under surveillance, as best I can. All I ask at the moment, is for patience.

If he attempts anything, know that I will deal with him, personally. No students of Beacon are to engage him if there is an option.

She suggested he get her cookies, he suggested she pay $100 for it and Ruby's painful lack of understanding of economics is not an excuse for him to take advantage of her.

[ Adam's not the only one who's going to suffer because of that. Weiss is probably going to try to make Ruby sit down and do Weiss-assigned homework. ]

[ Actually, she's a little peeved that no one actually warned her about this if they knew that he was a member of the White Fang. But she won't take that out on Ozpin, since she knows it's probably a bad idea.. ]

I see. I will speak to him about that.

[He sighs inwardly. At this point, he's convinced that Adam would mop the floor with his students, and doesn't want to make any wording that would give Weiss even the slightest loophole to try and take him on.]

You are free to defend yourself, but there will be no retaliation. Do I make myself clear? Should he engage anyone, you can rest assured that I will be on the scene within seconds.

Do not, under any circumstances, attack him. Even in self defense. Use your glyphs and training to get away. I have been monitoring his movements even in our world, and at your current level of training, you would stand no chance against him.
