[Look who it is again! It's Gale, reporting from his Skyhouse home with a smile on his face. Someone isn't bothered at all by the fact he lost the election. He was certain he wouldn't win, but he definitely didn't foresee just how well he actually did in the grand scheme of things. Keen eyes may notice that his skin looks particularly glittery today, and his cat is perched across his shoulders and sniffing at his cheek, because he actually smells fantastic thanks to that strawberry scented body glitter. Thanks Yang!]

Well, seems all of that is over, and I must extend my congratulations to Guardians Black and Vakarian for their victory. I certainly gracefully accept my defeat, but I must say I'm extremely appreciative of the support I got. Who knows, maybe I'll run again someday, when I'm more ready to actually be a Guardian the city deserves. I'll take that victory of havin' the support I did.

[Or not. This just proves to him that he's actually extremely good at bullshitting. Which probably isn't a good thing in the long run.]

Perhaps I'll review the debate video and see if there's anything I could possibly pursue of my own accord. Actions do speak louder than words, as they say. I think I've been needing to pursue a new secondary job anyway, there's only so many times a guy can ask someone if they've turned their device off and on again.

That said, with the upcoming blizzard notice, I think I'll get supplies necessary to convert my clubs into temporary shelters if necessary. If the weather's gettin' bad enough to warrant a warning in the paper, it's probably good to take it seriously. I'll make the preparations so anyone can stop in if they need to.

[He looks at his cat for a moment before she leaps off of his shoulder and out of view. Silly fluffball. Who he still needs to name. He looks back at the feed with a more sincere smile.]

One last thing- I have to thank everyone who gifted me something this past holiday, it was sweet of you and I really appreciate all of it.

Except whoever sent that awful tree sweater. You should be ashamed of your fashion sense.

That's certainly true. I'd hate to leave Hangar Queen and Holy Diver hangin' without me gracing the joints. They won't be gettin' rid of me this time around.

[Not that they would entirely to begin with, even if he had won. He can multitask, dammit.]

She's humming for a moment at that last comment, shifting around to gently tap her chin with a silver nail that absolutely was pastel blue about two seconds again. What the hell, Lydia.]

I wonder how different the volume is going to be with that nasty weather being predicted, not that it particularly matters to me, but... [She can't feel the weather anyway, so whatever.]

Thanks. You had some pretty good ideas and based on the results it looks like a lot of people felt the same way. If you want to come down to the Skyrise and talk some details our door is open.

[Garrus doens't really know the guy but Weiss trusted him well enough to leave the city with him for a day and he really did have some good thoughts even if he's not really the justice type. He's not going to judge someone on that alone, though. If someone has an idea, he wants to hear it.]

And thanks for opening up your club to the public for the storm. I can swing by with some supplies after work the next couple of days if you need anything.

[It's the least he can do, really; the guy's trying to keep his people safe.]

I'm using a sold mansion to pay for a second Guardian if you wanted to consider Gale, so the Schnee Company funds are still going toward two deputy spots you and Garrus haven't filled yet.

[That grin he had on his face slowly fades into a look of horror.]

[He makes a "one moment" gesture and gets up, leaving the feed for a few moments before returning with the crime against fashion itself and holds it up.]

Look at this thing. No well meaning person could have made this. I don't even know who sent it. It even lights up.

[He's purposely being a little overly dramatic about it, but it is pretty bad.]

[Gale certainly doesn't scoff at blizzards, that's for sure. He's had plenty of experience with them to know they can be serious business. ... but at least this one isn't caused by that jackass Genbu.]

Much appreciated. First thing's first, I gotta get supplies. I'll have to think a little harder on what to grab for Holy Diver cuz of the citizenry.

Doesn't really matter to me much either since I've dealt with this kinda weather a lot before. [Hooray for being stationed in a mountain and at an arctic base.] I can't imagine things will be too different, but if ya wanna stay home and keep safe, by all means. I'm not gonna expect people to come in to work if we're gonna get that pummeled with snow.

I got one person to look out for and I made sure that the house was set up like a shelter. This isn't my first storm.

[He's used to having to survive crazy situations.]

I'll stay home unless you need anything but I can also house anyone who seems to be stuck. Better to keep communication open through the storm.

[Garrus isn't going to force anything out of him, though he's always curious about tech so it'll likely come up. But ultimately sharing it would be his call.]

Tell you what: why don't we worry about the storm first and we can talk once the whole thing is over? We're not going to be working on anything but keeping the city and its people safe for the next week or so anyway.

[The storm is supposed to end the 4th, but usually with major things like that there are reparations and whatnot to deal with afterwards. It's not technically his job to deal with them, but he's going to help out.]

Which is why I'm happy to help. Send me a list of what you need picked up and I'll get it done. I can also see about making any windows or glass doors you have weather proof in case something whacks them.

[If he can build guns he can probably figure out how to protect a window, right?]

[He closes his eyes and thinks a moment, picturing the club's layout in his mind. He nods once before looking back up.]

There's only one window 'round the entrance that might need the reinforcing, but that's it. It might be fine though, I could just conjure some ice in front of it to act as a shield.

[Once it's there, it stays there until it's destroyed or he gets rid of it himself.]

You’re already doing enough, but… I’m going to be staying with a friend in Gen City once things start to get rough just in case the teleporters to the Skyhouse Network go down. If you hear of anything happening, let me know. If it’s something minor and not dangerous? An extra hand wouldn’t go amiss. I’m pretty sure Black is going to be crashing with me in Gen too so we’ll be two down on the immediate response team.

Me? Stay home? Darling, please, I can't die of the cold or freeze out there like everyone else out here, it won't keep me from continuing about business as usual. It'd have to be covered in lava or acid or something for me to stay away.
