14 ☼ Action at Genessia/Text [Dated at midnight]

Alright everyone within Genessia, if you aren't out right now please take a look out of your windows and of course, please make a wish, or think about your dreams for the new year.

[After she had sent that to everyone Rapunzel started to run around, sorting out something. She was standing by the box as she quietly looks around. Once she was sure that there might be people watching she went to open up one box. Slowly but surely paper lanterns start to float out of the box. She started to rush over toward another box and another as soon she had somewhat filled the sky with the paper lanterns. Sure they cannot get too high and Rapunzel had sorted it so that they would eventually float down but for the time being Rapunzel seemed happy with what she did. Once they were in the air she sent another text.]

[Lucky (and Caesar, who was tucked in his arms to stay warm) had made it to the park literally three minutes before midnight. As soon as the text from Rapunzel had come in, Lucky watched wide-eyed for a moment before looking down at Caesar and giving the little lion bot a pet on the head.]

You wish the others were here too? So do I.

[Looking around for a moment, he spots someone over by the boxes and makes his way over.]

[ Alice heard about something amazing at the park, so she definitely had to come! She's in a blue yukata and everything. It's entirely possible she dragged a couple of friends with too (so if your character knows Alice and you need an excuse to come, feel free to assume she dragged them). When the lanterns start going up, she makes an excited gasp as she watches, her eyes twinkling with the lights in them. It's so cute!! ]

AHHH! THAT WAS SO PRETTY!

Happy New Year, Rapunzel. That lights were really pretty. Is this a custom from your world?

[She nodded happily. She was happy with the way it worked out. More so when she did the whole thing by herself.]

took a lot of work, but I hope it was worth it.

[Rapunzel was wondering around after letting all of them go, checking to see how everyone was doing. People seemed to be enjoying it at least and that brought a smile to her face. She was happy that people were happy.

I'm glad it was. I was kind of hoping to put smiles on peoples faces.

Happy New year. Also... not really. I mean I don't know much about my world to give an exact answer, but I do know that every year on my birthday I would see lights. It was the only time I would see those lights. So... In a sense that is once a year, but not on new year.

As for where...I read a book and followed the instructions.

What are Will' O' the wisps? But to answer the question they are called lanturns.

That's right, the only things I could learn were from the very few books we had.

You are welcome. I mean I decided to work toward my dream. It's not an exact, but close enough, right?

I'm not sure, but I think the hot air from lighting them is what makes them float in the air like that.

Will' O' the wisps are magic lights that float near rivers, lakes or forests, some say they're ghosts.

And they can float? Mine don't do that.

I'm sorry. It's good that you're no longer trapped there.

Sometimes being close enough is good enough.

Magic lights... That sounds nice.

They can, they are made from a type of paper, so that's what helps them float.

Yeah, I'm glad I'm not either.

It's good enough... Though once it's done... What do I do next?

What do you do? You find new projects, I guess. That's what Cassian and I are doing. For a long time all we were focused on was to win the war, stop the Empire from hurting people. But that war wasn't here so we had to find others way to help.
