Backdated sometime after dating auction.

Who: Kirika and Seth/ Kirika and Selphie
What: Kirika won her bidding, it was time to hold up her end. She also asks Selphie for advice.
Where: Her apartment at first/ Flower shop
When: Sometime after dating auction.
Warnings: Fluffiness and lots of teasing!

A. [Locked to Seth/Dating time!]

Kirika still couldn't believe she did that. She bid, on a friend, and she doesn't know a thing about dating, only what she heard from the girls at school. The thought of it turned her beat red. Thankfully she asked for some advice before hand. Still, she couldn't help she was somewhat displeased when someone else tried to bid over her's. If only Mirielle was here...

She got herself an outfit, or so what the girls thought was cute with a coat over it. It was still winter and skirts weren't cut out for the weather. A quick check of herself by the mirror one more time. Why was she beating herself up about this? She continued to do some last minute check until Seth's arrival.]

B. [Locked to Selphie/Dating advice!]

[Before her day for the date, Kirika wanted to ask Selphie for advices. She waited until it was work time. After doing some rounds of attending the flowers and chores, Kirika looked to see if Selphie was busy. When Selphie wasn't, Kirika finally called for her.]

Selphie?

[She looked around again, to see if Aya was anywhere, or sensed if he was. When it was confirmed he wasn't, she continued.]

Can I ask you something?

*At weekends when Selphie wasn't teaching, she would often be floating around the flower shop bugging Aya and Kirika, sometimes helping out with things here and there. For just now, Selphie was behind the register flicking through flower catalogues. She looked up and smiled at Kirika with a nod*

Of course you can! What's up?

[She walked up to the counter where Selphie was, leaned forward with both arms on top of the counter.]

Where are some good places for a girl to take a guy out on a date?

[Talk about getting straight to the point.]

Oh?

*Selphie puts down the catalogue and moves out from behund the register to sit on the desk*

You have somebody you want to ask? Well, I guess that depends. Is there anything you both enjoy doing that would be fun? Or anywhere you love that you'd want to take him to?

[She tilts her head curiously.]

I don't know. I like the park, but it can be cold. Hmm... I really don't know what he likes.

[Welp. Was she turning red? Maybe a little.]

I sort of bid him in the dating auction.

[Seth is dressed nicely. He's wearing his usual dress pants, white button down shirt and vest but in addition to that he is wearing a jacket and a tie. He doesn't like how constricting they can be but the jacket is to offer to her if she's cold and the tie... well, he'll probably end up shoving that into his pocket.

When he arrives he knocks at the front door.

That's the polite thing to do.

When she opens the door she'll see that his hair is just as messy as always. He had brushed it but it never stays in place for long. Behind his back is a collection of brilliantly red roses meant for her.]

[When she hears the knock, she takes one more quick glance of herself and then makes her way to the door. She takes a deep and slow breath, then opens the door.]

Good afternoon. Um...

[She takes note of the roses behind his back.]

But the park will look beautiful at this time of year. Plus, if you get too cold then you can go get something hot to drink to warm you up!

*Selphie continues to smile and giggles, pleased about all this*

Kiri... You are old enough to be going on dates, right?

That's true.

[That made her smile thinking about it. She sort of tilt het head slightly to one side hearing that nickname. And then, that question. Old enough?]

Well um, I am 15...

[Or so her ID said.]

That's okay, is it?

It is true! And being all cuddled up in the warmth with a hot chocolate is really nice!

*She pauses, going all dreamy eyed for a moment*

That is... if the guy you're going on a date with is about the same age...

[Don't mind the little one here going all 'aww' while she's thinking about it. So that's why people... she taps her chin with an index finger, sneaky people! Like any daydreams, it pops when she hears the second response.]

Eh?

[She looks at Selphie contemplating. Should she answer that? She sort of goes quiet.]

[Seth see's the direction of her gaze and laughs softly as he holds the flowers out for you.]

Roses. For you.

I thought they were fitting.

[Kirika quietly stares at the roses, mesmerized. She soon reaches out for them and accepts it, with a smile.]

Thank you. Um... Was I suppose to get you flowers too?

[First date questions already.]

[Seth laughs softly.]

No. It's traditional for the man to get the woman flowers because only flowers can compare to a woman's beauty though you have something that the flowers do not. [His smile widens slightly as he explains.]

Flowers are far more fleeting than you.

*At once Selphie goes into stern maternal mode, her hands placed firmly on her hips as she narrows her eyes at Kirika, though there is concern there too*

Kiri. Who did you get? And what kind of date is this going to be? I can't let you go out there and be romanced by some old guy.

[Some old guy? So much confusion mostly whether if Selphie was mad at her or not, and why. Regardless, the girl was calm as always.]

A friend, Seth. [Welp. Why did it felt she was defending? What kind of date what?]

I don't know, it's just... [She sighs, finding the right words, closing her eyes for a moment, holding her arms.] I want to thank him so I thought I try this.

Seth.

*Well, Selphie doesn't know him. She doesn't really know anyone. But... he could be anyone. And it's not like Selphie doesn't know what it's like to have an attraction to older men. I mean, she even had a crush on her friend's dad...

Anyway, Selphie sees how uncomfortable Kirika looks so she softens her voice and drops her hands from her hips*

Thank him? By taking him out some place?

[Kirika probably had more crushes on older men than anyone close to her age, minus her partner.

She felt more calmer when Selphie dropped the hands. She gave a nod to her questions.]

Hmm...

*Selphie leaned lightly back against the cash register. She kind of wished Aya was here because he was a much better voice of wisdom that she was. But she gave it a try*

And Seth. How much older is he? He's old enough to understand that this a friendly thing, isn't he? I mean, this date isn't romantic. ...is it?

[Makes her want to ask 'why' but she refrains herself.]

That's right. [Kirika said, holding her gifts close, inhaling the aroma from the plant.] They don't last for long.

[She misses the point. She closes the door behind her, carrying her bouquet of roses.]

Are you ready?

[Romantic? The thought of it turned Kirika's face pink. She looked away from Selphie first, and back. She nodded again.]

It's nothing like that.

[Or is it.]

It's only a walk in the park, and maybe a cafe really.

[She was still red.]

[Seth steps inside and watches as Kirika finds a place for the flowers.]

I am. I didn't know what you wanted to do tonight but since you won me, the choice is yours. [To stay in or go out.

It's interesting when things go over her head and while Seth would normally pause and explain, he'd rather her ask him questions. Only the curious learn and he'd answer any question she posed at him.]

Well...

[She continues the conversation while she finds a place for them, in a simple vase on the dinner table this time. Even though the choice is indeed her's, she seems a little nervous about making the decision.]

I was thinking a walk around the park, if it's not too cold.

[Which she doesn't mind, she enjoys walks.]

I don't know if I told you this but I was born in Greenland. The cold has never really bothered me.

[It's a half truth, as is much of what Seth says. The first time he had taken a physical form had been in Greenland but he'd been created in the dream world and lived there for years before learning how to manifest a physical form.]

Is there anything else you wanted to do? [He wants it to be about what she wants.]

[He did told her where he was born, may had slipped her mind. She gives a nod. Cold weather doesn't bother her so much.]

You did, but still.

[Once the flowers were placed on the table, she walks back to the door.]

Maybe go to a cafe later.

[To warm up at least.]

Is there anything you want to do too?

Oh?

*Selphie smiled a little as she watched Kirika's change in expression*

But you wouldn't mind if it was all romantic, hmm? Well...

*Selphie tried to keep her voice soft, but she was still showing real concern*

Just be careful. Make sure this guy isn't gonna hurt you.

[Well, color her surprise. Kirika was taken back from Selphie's response. Either way, that earned a small smile. Kirika gave a nod.]

Mhm, I'll make sure.

[After all, Kirika kinda knows how to use guys anyway... Not like it would hurt him though.]

Thank you, Selphie.

[Seth nods his head while a playful smile tugs over his lips.]

I would like to spend the evening with you. [He holds out his arm for her to take before leaning her back towards the front door so they could go on their walk. Seth thinks that a cafe is a good stop at the end of a walk as well as a date.]

Tell me Kirika, what do you know about dates?

Huh?

[Evening? Kirika wondered what he meant by that, or maybe it was her over thinking. Her face flushed red. But when he offered an arm, Kirika's arm slowly slipped around his while her head tucked in her jacket.]

Not a lot really.

[She admitted, muffled in her jacket.]

[Seth gently pulls her close while his mouth pulls into a warm smile. He doesn't want to make her feel uncomfortable though he is curious as to why Kirika had bid on him and if there is something else that she'd like from him.]

Do you know that it's traditional to kiss at the end of the date?

[There is a lightness to his voice as he looks down at her, leading her away from her apartment and towards the park. Seth doesn't mention that it can be as simple as a kiss to the back of the hand and that not all dates require it, but he's curious as to what her reaction might be and if she can hide any further into her jacket.]

[Maybe he will find out later why she bid. Kirika wants to try to make this work out, she even took his offered arm without hesitation. She watches people.

But when Seth brought up something interesting, Kirika shot a glance at him. She doesn't recall Selphie mentioning something like this. Gullible as she was, her face remained bright pink. She slowly directed her attention to the front, trying to tuck herself further in her jacket, not exactly sure why but it felt appropriate to her before shaken her head to his question finally.]

[Seth chuckles softly. Her reaction is absolutely adorable though it's a little mean of him to tease her like this. She's trying so hard and he's honored to have someone as sweet as Kirika want to take him out on a date. He doesn't understand why but he's happy.]

I'm sorry. That was a little mean of me. It's true that many kiss after a date but it isn't a requirement.

I don't want to make you uncomfortable.

[Kirika continues to stare up at him after he confesses. The flush on her face still doesn't fade. Even so, it's to be expected, so she thinks. She shakes her head smiling.]

You're not making me unconformable. It just means you have to wait until the date is over, right?

[Maybe she's trying to tease, or making logical sense. Either way, there is a small playful grin on her face.]

[Seth laughs softly.]

I didn't realize you could be such a tease.

[Though he doesn't look upset about it. In fact, Seth appears to be very happy.]

Which park did you want our walk to go through? You're leading the way, no?

[Spoiler, it wasn't a tease. Though she looks up at him with a puzzle expression, but doesn't say anything more.

To the next question, Kirika gives a nod. That's right, she's the one leading, right?]

Um, Genessia's park. That's okay, right?

Of course.

[He smiles down at her.]

Didn't I say I'm yours for today. As long as I'm with you I'm happy.

[She smiles back to him.]

Right, almost forgot.

[To Genessia they go! They get there eventually which is a nice park with benches, pathways, and food stands. Of course there are people either jogging or couples doing their thing. Kirika looks at some of them, watching how one clings to the other, she mimics one, leaning closer to Seth.]

[Seth smiles and puts his arm around Kirika's thin shoulders as they walk through the park. It's nice out though a little cold and he wants to keep her warm. Yup, his thoughts are completely innocent. It's for Kirika.]

Anything you want to see? I don't think they'll be a lot of birds here.

[Kirika likes to people watch. She does smile when Seth wraps one arm around her. She looks up to him.]

Because it's cold.

[Quite obvious. She looks around, unsure herself.]

Hmm.

[She tries to think about it. What else is there in a park?]

[Seth chuckles softly and pulls her a little closer.]

I think there is a bench by one of the ponds this way. We can see if anyone is out with a cart selling something warm for us to drink or eat.

[He also likes to people watch and a bench seems like a good place to do that.]

[Kirika leans to him, maybe turning a little red, and nods.]

Okay.

[There was some stands which served hot dogs, corn dogs... hopefully one serves hot tea or coco. She points to one stand. Please there there be hot coco.]

[Seth turns them towards the stand and then releases her so he can dig out his wallet.]

I'll have two hot coco's please.

[Maybe a corn dog too. That sounds good and Seth isn't sure he's had them from any of the stands in Genessia.]

[Before she could dig her wallet out, Seth is already ahead of her. There is a slight confusion on her face, nothing big, she figure she's suppose to buy stuff.

So Kirika waits for her coco. She's not really in the mood for a corn dog, but maybe something else later.]

Thank you.

[She takes a slow sip and easy, it warms her up quick.]
