Nothing passes the time and warms the heart like a little bit of gambling, am I right?

*To which she waves a finger and winks flirtatiously because she knows she absolutely is right*

So what'll be? Long distance roulette?

Or how about odds on how many more 'boo hoo poor me I'm stuck and helpless' broadcasts we'll see? How about the number of injuries? Total number of windows needing repaired? Maybe you wanna go with a fifty fifty split - deaths, or no deaths? Blizzard over by the end of the week - yes or no?

Question. The boo hoo posts, do the the ones that don't admit it count as well? Because we all know how that goes.

[Ears up, Dray looks at Faye's surrounding with interests. He's never been in a Casino.]

What is a roulette? Some sort of game, I can tell, but how do you play it?

*Faye tilts her head as she considers this*

I think it would have to be clear from their boohooing thst they're unhappy or in need of some kind of support.

Hold on a moment, and I'll show you.

*Keeping the camera on, Faye crosses over to a roulette wheel which is now what is showing on camera*

The wheel spins and a ball is placed inside. You bet the numver where you think the ball is going to wind up. Get it right, you get the money.

How about we don't try to shame people into not asking for help when they might wind up needing it? Geez, how callous can you get?

*Faye gestures with a smile, all innocence and light*

Of course I would do no such thing.

Well, considering I'm fairly confident in this particular 'gamble', you can name the price. ...'Course it's only fair that it goes both ways.

*Faye quirks a brow and watches him for a moment and smirks*

*Because either way, she'll get the steak dinner, and if she happens to lose, well, she's acting on behalf of the casino so the money wil come from there*

*She smiles and takes a small pad of paper from the pocket of her rather small pencil skirt*

Oh. So it's a game of pure luck and no skill at all.

I am. Though I don't think of this as a gamble as much as a challenge.

[He grins. Not his first choice, but he could definitely enjoy the change, especially if...]

I'm not good with the whole smooth talking thing, and pickup lines don't seem like something that would work with you, so I'm kinda out of my element. But yes, I would like a date out of this bet.

*Faye grins and spins the roulette wheel quickly*

I'd love to but I think I'll be terrible at gambling. I always had bad luck.

*To which Faye just gave a slow and lazy shrug, spreading her hands in a sign of peace*

*Then she sets the wheel in motion with an expert flick of her wrist and waits for the ball to settle*

[Dray pulls his communicator closer to him, eyes following the ball with intensity. He thinks he gets it now, why people play. Betting makes a game you didn’t care about, interesting. I the end, the ball falls on the number 10, black.]

Awww...I lost. I didn't even get the color right. [Sad kitty is sad.] I'll pay you once the blizzard is over and I can reach you.

*Faye scoops up the ball after it has landed and makes a 'sorry, too bad' face for Dray, followed by a small smile*

That's what makes it gambling. But hey, let's call this a trial run - no money needed, hm?
