The Snow Blows White in the Woods Tonight [ ACTION | CLOSED ]
Who: Hughes and Mustang
When: January 2 smack dab in the middle of the blizzard
Where: Woods of Everglades
What: Stranded in the 2spooky woods during the biggest blizzard of the year
[Hughes isn’t really surprised that someone had decided to rob a store during the storm; people do bad things during natural disasters. What he hadn’t expected was to be the one sent out to find the guy. He was usually the one behind the scenes, not the one doing the actual heavy lifting. Being low on the totem pole apparently means getting sent out in the blizzard, so he and Mustang had been chosen to track him down and bring him in.
The guy had veered off from the main town and ran into the woods surrounding the city. The blizzard has made visibility so poor, however, that it hadn’t taken too long to lose the guy. And to likely become lost themselves if they aren’t already.
Hughes glances at Mustang, squinting through his glasses which have become distorted thanks to the snow hitting the lenses.]
I think we should turn back. I don’t think we’re going to find him anytime soon staying out here isn’t going to do us any good.

The blizzard was totally in February what are you talking about
On the upside, if they did find the guy, at least he wasn't useless in the snow. He's got a couple of push knives on him, his preferred weapon of choice, in addition to his Amestris issued sidearm for normies like him. Though, this is also assuming the culprit is human. They're probably shit out of luck no matter what they do.
He comes to a stop next to Mustang, barely able to hear him even though he's shouting. How did they get there? What a dumb question. The cold must be doing more of a number on Mustang than him if he doesn't remember the way back. He shouts back even though they're only a couple of feet away from each other now.]
We came from [He goes to point, and then realizes the problem. Well shit. There are zero indicators that they had even walked more than the last five feet and all of the trees look identical. He pauses, thoughts racing through his mind. Theoretically if the just turned 180 degrees and walked straight, they should be golden. The odds of them walking straight without any sort of markers in the ground and with the whiteout conditions? Pretty damn slim, but standing around trying to figure it out isn't going to get them anywhere so he takes change. What's the worst that could happen?
...Don't answer that.]
Come on, it's this way. [He lowers his voice.] I think.
[He goes with his plan of attempting to walk in a straight line back and just praying for the best case scenario.]
