For those of you who were worried about Cloud's... slightly dramatic announcement, [ It was not dramatic at all, but it's easier to explain than what actually happened ] I'm fine.

[ One might question that when considering this post is made from a hospital bed, though she's clearly removed any IVs or anything and turned off the stats monitor. She's in a hospital gown, even if she's managed to still do her hair and makeup (what else is she going to do in a hospital bed??) ]

I'm only still in the hospital for observation, not because I need to be. I'll admit I didn't expect to come back from the Dream Docks with an injury, but it's not unheard of for injuries to form to match your memories when you go. There is no one to hunt down for this.

Are you still here? They have to at least let me visit you if it's just down the hall. Maybe they can give us a shared room.

[Vlad can count on one hand the amount of humans he'd cared about. Lisa and Weiss were really about it. Weiss' powers had opened the door in that regard, but the girl had proven far more insightful and intriguing than he ever anticipated. As such, he replied with a calm and collected tone... but there was a storm brewing just behind his eyes.]

...What happened?

[As soon as he received the private message, Jaune was rushing from the waiting room to Weiss's room (or as rushed as the nurses would allow him to be). He doesn't linger in the doorway. He doesn't hesitate. He rushes to her bed, nearly dropping the blue flowers and purple flowers clutched in his hand. The only thing that stops him from nearly colliding into her form are the still all too fresh memories of her injury. He stops himself, just barely, but he still looks like he wants to hug her if she'll allow it.]

W-- ...

[His voice cracks. She's okay. Weiss is okay. She's still here.]

Being a huntress comes with certain risks. Unfortunately, that can sometimes include crashing airships, boots to the face, and flaming spears.

Jaune!

[ Stop this girl from moving, Jaune, she's getting up to hug him first. Hospitalization be damned. ]

It would seem that every world is an unkind and savage place. Still, if any are strong enough to meet those challenges, I have no doubt it would be you.

That said, are those responsible for your injuries here?

Well...I'm glad you're okay, Ms. Schnee. Can I bring you anything while you're in the hospital?

[Garrus hadn’t responded to Cloud’s post. He’d been busy, he wasn’t a doctor, and, truth be told, he was a little scared. He’d lost his fair share of people in his life; he hadn’t wanted to watch another one die, permanent or not. He’d kept an ear open for updates, though, and was relieved when he had gotten word that she was okay.

He’d watched her video, and while she seemed very Weiss with her not a hair out of place, he didn’t like that her monitors had been off so he had elected to go see her himself.]

Hey. Thought near-death experiences were my thing.

[A joke she’ll probably only maybe understand if she noted how much more scarring he had come back with after his own trip to the Dream Docks. He eyes Weiss critically from his place propped up against the doorframe, arms crossed, and lets his visor get some readings, relaxing once everything checks out.]

How’re you feeling?

[Jacques had taken off of work when he heard that Weiss was in the hospital and instructed the office to only call him if it were a dire emergency. All part of his concerned father act (what better way to convince her that he really did care about her then to drop everything to be by her side?), though a small part of him had been honestly panicked when he heard that she had been so grievously injured. How foolish of him, to let this false front leak into his normal headspace.

Still, he had a role to play, and he'd been waiting around the hospital, being sure to keep out of Jayne's sight. Meddlesome boy was staying close to her like some sort of mutt. It's only after she's woken up and posted the video that he sees Jaune leave. He's not sure how much time he has, but there's no way Jaune would hurt him in front of Weiss, right? ~~And if he does, he's already in a hospital!~~

He's stopped in the hospital's gift shop while he's waited, picking up a get well teddy and a giant bouquet of flowers. If he's going to do this, he might as well go big, right?

He raps lightly on the door three times before entering. His face is purposely hidden behind the bouquet until he has the door closed behind him.]

Weiss! Oh, my baby girl, I was so worried I had lost you!

[He places the flowers on the windowsill before taking a seat by her bedside, taking one hand in his own, the other brushing the bangs out of her face so he can get a better look at her. No more facial scarring. Good. Last thing he needs is for her to mar the Schnee name as more barbaric then she already has.]

You scared me half to death! Are you sure you're okay? [He pulls his hand back from her face and brings it to his jacket pocket.] I'll call my own personal physician to give you another look over, just in case.

[If she thought the Christmas gift for Sun was weird, she's only just tapping the tip of the iceberg.]

W...

Weiss! [And then he's hit with a chestful of Weiss. Or is it the other way around? Either way, he's practically clinging to her and those aren't tears he promises.

He might even lift her up in the air.]

I'm so glad you're okay. [His voice hitches as he says it. Totally not sobbing.]

[ She certainly hopes so, but she doesn't remember anything past that last incident. It wasn't a great time to wake up. ]

She's not here, thankfully.

[ It wasn't hard for her to figure out who was responsible now that she's had time to think about what happened, even if the shot came from behind. ]

[That goes a long way to calming the storm brewing behind Vlad's eyes. He won't be needing to get out his pikes today.]

Good. I will be by to check on you soon. Lisa may accompany me, if she's feeling up to the trek.

[ She yelps at that and after a second of hanging there, she's reaching up to cover Jaune's eyes.

Hospital gown, Jaune. Hospital gown. They don't do so good with the smaller girl almost slipping out of it during the aerial hug even if it has a back. ]

[Jaune yelps too, suddenly confused as to why he can't see Weiss. Why is she hiding from him? Sorta. He isn't really thinking about the hospital gown at all other than wondering if she's cold. But he's content to just hug her blindly, gently lowering her to the ground after a few moments. He's still quiet.]

I don't know how I did it. I'm just glad it worked.

[ She looks a little surprised. Something like that is probably the sort of thing that worries newbies, isn't it? Not that she really could've done anything about it. ]

We've only just met so I'm not quite ready to impose on you yet. Hopefully I'm not going to be here more than overnight.

Near is questionable.

[ She's honestly not.. sure about home. ]

I'm not too sure what happens back home, that'll be up to someone else to figure out.

[ Weiss isn't sure she wants to go back to sleep and it turns out she doesn't dream. Even if she's still here, it's still.. unnerving. ]

Shaken, but alive.

[Arro steps in with a small sigh. He's dressed down slightly for his role as Dr. Caine considering that his dress shirt, slacks, and tie are very plain, if not still nice. He has a clipboard tucked under his arm and comes over to Weiss with a small shake of his head.]

Sit up please, Mrs. Schnee. You may say you're fine, but the dock isn't reputable for being sterile.

[weiss would be a damned fool if she thought that robin wasn't going to turn up and see how she was doing. the tactician showed up pretty soon after her initial announcement that she was in the hospital, ready to see her friend. she had flowers in hand, opening the door slowly to weiss's room. she peeked in, seeing her white haired companion sitting up and on the bed.

what a relief, she seemed to be okay, just as she said. robin walked in to the room, smiling at weiss.]

I half expected you to be.... well, to be more injured than you already are. [she was then moving to place the flowers down next to weiss's bed.]

[honestly, he hardly knew weiss- but he had figured that she was someone he talked to more than others in this place... so it would be rude of him to ignore her in the hospital. in actuality, he was a bit worried for her, and he did want to check in and see how she was doing.

the quincy opened the door to her room (knocking lightly before doing so of course) and noted her on the bed. he tried his best to give her a small smile, but it faded soon enough.]

Are you taking visitors right now?

[Liora had only been to the Dream Docks once before, and what she had seen back home was just terrifying. But since then, she had wanted to become stronger. She wanted to make up for her mistake, to not allow any other dragons to suffer the same fate as her clan had. Part of her had been afraid to return to the Dream Docks for fear that more bad things may happen...but perhaps bad things are needed sometimes?]

...I won't ask about what happened, but...would you think the experience was worthwhile?

[In spite of everything, she has that hope that, despite all the things that go wrong, everything can turn out all right in the end. More than that, she has to make sure it turns out all right.]

[Fai even though he knows how capable Weiss is and all that, when he had seen that post from the guy he couldn't help but worry and feel that tiny bit useless. It was a not nice feeling to have, but he was honestly a little relieved to know that she was okay.

So he was going to bring up a positive.]

I'm... Glad that you are okay. [He smiled slightly.] Should I come visit. I'll bring opera cake

[it took a most of his willpower to leave the hospital the day of the incident, but he couldn't just stay with blood stains over his hands and clothes. ~~laundry that night was a chore and a half.~~ but since yesterday, Cloud hadn't left. the only sleep that he got was from the times he nodded off in his seat in the waiting room. others would pass him by from his spot on the wall as he tapped his finger along the side of his arm, only once in a while his blue gaze shifting down the hallway where they took her.

Cloud had a lot to think about, questions to ask, though perhaps not of Weiss- he knew that when this ordeal was behind them there was going to be a lot of catching up he had to do. but that could wait; getting a full night's rest could wait until he heard better news. for anyone who asked who he was, it wasn't important. he answered truthfully, and as his brief discussion with Weiss' father would tell, someone else was on the blond's mind as well as he'd spot him sitting with his head bowed in his lap, pacing around the waiting room, going to get coffee,

"If you're gonna thank anyone, it's Jaune."]

[as friends and family passed Cloud by to pay Weiss a visit once her message was sent out, he can't help but watch Jaune race past him without a moment's hesitation, expression softening a little as he decides to wait. and when he feels like things are a little more quiet, he finally decides to pay her a visit.]

"Slightly" dramatic?

[Cloud's tone is soft as he leans against the frame of the doorway, relief washing over his face when he sees that for her pale complexion, it's much better than when he and Jaune found her.]

[ She sits up as instructed, folding her hands in her lap and straightening her back so he can check whatever he needs to. She's sore and scarred, but it looks like it's mostly healed. At least her doctor is someone she's familiar with. ]

Believe me, I'd rather make sure I'm not going to develop an infection after surviving that than make an escape.

I was definitely... in a difficult place, when Cloud made that post. Dramatic or not, I don't blame him.

[ Those flowers look so nice. Weiss looks like she's peeking around the corner behind Robin before she moves to the edge of the bed. She's supposed to stay still just because it's very tender, but she's apparently not a great patient. She has faith in Jaune, even if she's staying just to make sure. ]

It turns out I had a white knight already on the way.

Ishida!

[ She looked a little surprised, of course, but honestly.. she was pleased by it. She liked Ishida, even if they weren't particularly close yet. ]

Come on in, they gave me permission a little while ago. They're only keeping me for observation at this point.

I was unconscious for most of it, but I'd be willing to proffer that it was your semblance.

[ She gives him a smile as she readjusts the gown, pushing it down properly so it's not all disheveled. ]

You wanted to save people more than anything. It's a reflection of who you are, Jaune.
