Upcoming New Restaurant Features Repurposed Animatronics


Jared "Winky" Geronimo, owner of Genessia City's own candy factory after inheriting it from his father in December, announced the opening of a new family restaurant coming this spring. The restaurant is intended to be dedicated to his deceased brother from Attleton. His brother, who went affectionately by "Hunk" when they were children, used to love going to the animatronics restaurant at the now closed Happy Heights amusement park and would often write him about it.

After hearing about the tragedy in which Froggy Fezboar's Dining Adventure was burned to the ground in September 2016, Geronimo was distraught. The memory of Hunk haunted him, and a couple of months ago he finally found an intercity trader who was willing to scavenge the charred remains of the restaurant to bring Hunk's favorite animatronics to him. The intercity trader asked that her name be left out of the article because she will "slit [my] throat if any haunted robots come after [her]."

Since then, one accident after another has occurred in the process of melting down and repurposing the animatronics, but the process is allegedly almost complete. When asked if the two deaths that occurred in the metal plant that was using the old animatronics to make new ones for the upcoming restaurant bothered him, Geronimo stated that he didn't believe in such superstitions. Attleton was known for being a nice, safe place (except for the occasional serial killer) so he doubted any of the claims that the metals were cursed with the spirits of the burned animatronics.

"The accidents were unfortunate, but they're not going to ruin the memory of Hunk for me," Geronimo explained, "I hope everyone can share new memories at Hunk's Hamburger Hoedown when it opens."

Hunk's Hamburger Hoedown is scheduled to open in April 2018 and will feature a full cast of animatronics made from materials scavenged from Froggy Fezboar's for an interactive dining experience. The primary menu will feature a variety of burgers, but will also have buffalo wings, pizza, and a fresh salad bar as food options.

'Whisht,' said Johnnie who was sure by now his knees were as ruddy as his cheeks. 'Get on wi' ye. And mind where ye--' he sighed at the splintering crash that interrupted him. '...step.'

'Oh my,' said the Adventurer from somewhere far below. 'I believe I'm in a bit of a jam.'
