[Action] Choose your Spell

(Prologue)

[It was quite an ideal time of day for Anastasia to be out and about. She found herself a small park, artificial or not, in Nova City to spend time with her smaller Pokémon.

She was sitting against a tree, snuggled up by Sylveon and Glaceon, with Mismagius hovering nearby. Before long, she and her Eeveelutions drifted off to a little nap.

Playing with Anastasia was fun and all to Mismagius. Such a young girl was easy to scare and prank, but it would like to explore on its own for a little while. Anastasia will be fine. She has Sylveon and Glaceon with her. All though, the Magical Pokémon would leave her a fortune spell to help make sure luck stays with her as Mismagius floats away.]

(Action Nova!)

[The lights! The sounds! Such a stark contrast from the residential area of the city. Phantasma the Mismagius remains mostly clear as it whispers incantations to bring all sorts of havoc to the city.

Anyone who happens to be near Phantasma would hallucinate the people around them bursting into spontaneous song and dance. Weird...

Someone else might then hallucinate all the monitors in their field of vision suddenly changed to 24hour online videos of that freaking Nyan Cat meme.

Though not all of the hallucinating pranks are weird as hell. Someone near Phantasma might hallucinate everyone around being more friendly. "Hi! Hello! Good day! And "Be well!"

Phantasma wasn't done yet. Anyone near Phantasma as it chants may see a child run into the street, only to be hit by a car with a disturbing "Thunk." However, looking again, there's nothing there...

Do you happen to be playing a scratch off lotto ticket? Congrats! You won 25 red bills! Thanks, Phantasma!
Depending on your luck, a bird probably didn't just swoop down and stole your winning lottery ticket.

Perhaps you were minding your own business when you suddenly get a call on your device. You answer it and here a frantic person on the other end, begging for help. They were incoherent, just stuttering, "they're coming!" Before hearing bangs on the other end. Then, the mysterious caller screams in terror and agony as the line goes dead...

These are all the pranks of a Ghost Pokémon. If you happen to spot the Ghostly mass, feel free to follow it home.]

(Action! Near Heaven's Court Apartments!)

[If you do happen to spot the Mismagius and follow it home, you will find a young girl, all cutely dressed and sleeping cutely against a tree, with a Sylveon and Glaceon napping cuddled up with her.

No wonder a Mismagius was out pranking people with hallucinations. The pokemon belongs to this girl who fell asleep. What will you do now?]

A Mismagius!

[While Rotom is thankfully in a clear from her illusions, for now, he is surprised to see a Mismagius in Genessia. It isn't long as he starts taking pictures to the Ghost-type.]

[Spotted! Phantasma was delighted to be caught, especially by another Pokémon. When she realised her photo was being taken, she struck a pose, using Tufts if her cloak-like body to tip her witch hat like a smooth criminal.]

(Verily, a sight to behold. Tis but a Rotom whom enters the fold. Speak free, Good Rotom, hast thou been in pursuit of me?)

[While he doesn't understand Pokemon, he barely manages to understand Phantasma a little bit.]

It's alright. I just want to take some photos for the Pokedex.

[A cloaked invisible arm raised over Phantasma's mouth. Feel free to take the photos, RotoDex. She'll pose as she rhymes.]

(From me, thine wish is fine. If thou art ever entwined with a machine of man, surely thou art in the company of one helps thee scan. Where for art thine master to help thee faster?)

[Maybe he can't understand her well?]

[From all he can understand, he can only hear "master" and "scan".]

Master? Well, I do have Ash as my user and my directive is to help him on his journey while collecting data.

[That atleast confirms it, but does not answer her question.]

(Pray he does not catch me in his snare. Twould cause mine mistress much despair.)

From what I can gather, I guess you already have a trainer, correct?

[Sorry, Phantasma. Rotom is a little rough on his Ghost-type Pokemon speak when he's in his Pokedex.]

(That is correct. Mayhap mine and thine master's paths one day intersect. For a little Skrelp, she can be of big help. If completion of thy PokéDex is thine drive, mine mistress has me plus five.)

[Phantasma has no issues being a helpful ghost. Sometimes.]

I think I can understand. Will you show me where your trainer is right now?

(Certainly. She is this way. Come, Good Rotom. Let us away.)

[Phantasma floats in the direction of where her trainer sleeps. At least now the citizens of Nova won't have these weird hallucinations now.

It wasn't a long or far trip, as in a small park in the residential area, they arrive. Anastasia is still leaning against a tree, asleep, along with her Sylveon and Glaceon were napping as well.]

(For your sake, shall I have her awake?)

[ Remilia was... a little irritated after all those pranks. But apparently that Mismagius was owned by someone familiar to the little vampire. ]

[Phantasma twirled about in delight as it witnessed a helpless nobody wave and happily greet total strangers who were rather taken by surprise by the sudden cheeriness.

The Ghost-type decided she was away long enough and set out back home.

Perhaps the vampire will follow? All the way back to the young girl who naps peacefully under the tree?]

[As he follows Phantasma, he sees the sleeping princess with her other Pokemon. Though, he starts to wonder when she suggests that she should wake her up.]

[Phantasma nodded and glanced over to Anastasia, whispering an incantation that soon results in the girl writing in agony and jumping up awake, panting from a horrible nightmare. This, of course, woke up Sylveon and Glaceon when they were thrown off her.

First, Anastasia noticed Phantasma, then a floating...thing, which she is staring at in bewilderment.]

Uh... W-What in the... What is that?

[Well, that not what he can imagine, but as she's awake.]

Alola! My name is Rotom Pokedex! Nice to Roto-meet you.

[She's been living in Nova City for how long? Why is she still being surprised by tech?]

It's... A talking phone... Oh, umm... I mean... Nice to..."Roto-meet" you too...?

[Meanwhile, Phantasma is over there, stifling giggles while the two Eeveelutions are also baffled.]

I'm not a phone! I'm a Pokedex! My main function is to collect data from every Pokemon I can encounter.

[Anastasia shifts around to a more comfortable sitting position.]

...How did you come to find me? Did you know I have Pokémon?

[It's not like Phantasma can openly admit to bring RotomDex to her. But Glaceon sure understood and intended to give the Mismagius a piece of her cold, frosty mind with a series of cries.

To which Phantasma waves a ghostly hand dismissively.]

It's alright. I'm just here to confirm if you're the trainer of that Mismagius.

Though to be honest, I'm a bit rusty when it comes to talking with a Ghost-type such as myself.

I am indeed. Phantasma is my Pokémon. As is Sylvia and Gracia there.

[She gestures to the Sylveon and Glaceon respectively.]

I also have Primarina, Ribombee and Nidoking. Though they are in their pokeballs right now.

I see! And a Primarina and Ribombee! Both of those Pokemon came from the Alola region!

[ Well, she will do just that, probably to tell off whoever owns this pokemon for not keeping an eye on it. ]

And where is the Alola region?

[Didn't it just use the name 'Alola' as a greeting?]

[The Mismagius returns to the area near the Heaven's Court apartments, in a small park. It approaches and hovers near the still napping Anastasia. While the girl wasn't disturbed, the other two Pokémon with her were.]

[Claude just happened to be lost and ended up in the futuristic city because he couldn't find his way around, being a new arrival. Like attracts like and Mismagius floats particulary close to him to play its pranks!

First, Claude bursts into tapping dancing!]

Wha-? What? Why I'm dancing all of the sudden?

[Then the cat visions! Not that Claude is terribly fond of them!]

Meow?

[Either way, he doesn't know why he's tap dancing, putting on a ritz, and meowing for no reason, as he's at the ghost's mercy and being the receiving end of the prank! Or no way stopping either.]

[Phantasma noticed this. It was perplexed why this one was acting out hallucinations rather than seeing them.

Either way, Phantasma was finished playing and started floating back towards its owner, who was a young girl merely taking a nap under a tree with two other colorful creatures.

Follow if you dare.]

[ She wasn't quite expecting Anastasia, now was she? She looks around and moves closer, intent on waking her. ]

[The approach of the vampire alerted the sleeping Pokémon. They were awake and on their feet and letting out warning cries, which, of course woke up Anastasia.

She was startled by her Pokémon and someone she could no recognise in her sleepy state. With a gasp, she tried to get up, but fell back to a seated position.

Then she realised who it was.]

It's you... R-Remilia? What are you doing here...?

I followed that pokemon of yours here. What are you doing sleeping out here?

[Pokémon? As she was getting to her feet, she glanced over at Phantasma. It smiled and twirled about. Then she turned to Remilia as she laced her fingers in front of her.]

The, uh... Weather felt nice... It was wonderful in the shade, so... I guess I dozed off.

[Even Sylveon and Glaceon nodded in agreement.]

I don't know of its exact location, but I know it's just a plane ride away from the Kanto region.

[In his defense, he didn't have time to read the map of the Pokemon world.]

[He sees them...and acting them out at once. Either way, once the effects of the pokemon is finished, Claude came through out of his confusion, and did decide to follow...

Only to find the girl sleeping.

So speaking to the pokemon. Being both of darkness, he might be able to communicate. After all, he can speak to the songbirds in the park.]

Hello. Is this girl your companion along the others?

[A complete stranger followed her. Phantasma leered from under the brim of her witch-like hat.]

(That is so. Though as a stranger, tis best thee go. Unless thou art a friend, I will defend mine mistress to the end.)

[What creature is it? Must be a spirit, as Claude can sense the pokemon's powers.]

All right then. But no more playing tricks on people or straying off your post.

(Worry not, thy little head. For in the end, no one is dea-)

[There was an audible startled gasp. Phantasma twirls about to see it was Anastasia. She had awakened and frozen in shock to see a strange man only steps away.]

W-Who are you? What are you doing to my Mismagius?

My apologies.

[Claude makes a bow. He doesn't want to frighten a lady. Especially one so small.]

It just that your familiar, your spirit cast a spell on me, and I follow it here. But not to worry, it seems everything is in safe order, and the spell wear off.

[Familiar?]

Phantasma is a Pokémon... She's no familiar.

[She then gives Phantasma the "mommy glare."]

And as for you... Did you wander off and hex people?

[The Pokemon appears to not be confirming or denying.]

Am I going to have Titania keep tabs on you? ...Regardless, [Looking back to Claude.] I apologize for what Phantasma has done. Ghost-type Pokemon are notorious pranksters.

My apolgoies. Pokemon? Is that what they're called? I saw they accompany people on the streets.

[He didn't get one unfortunately as he arrived rather late.]

Well, not too worry. No harm done and you're together again.

[He makes a bow again, really apologetic.]

My name is Claude. So pleased to meet you. I just happened to be lost and found my way here in this city.

[With the help of her Pokémon, Anastasia was back on her feet. This way she can be proper when addressing people. As such, she dipped in a well-practiced curtsy. With the exception of Glaceon, Mismagius and Sylveon bowed as well.]

Very nice to meet you as well, Mister Claude. My name is Anastasia.

[Then returning to casual posture...]

If you need any help, I can try to be of assistance.

[He shook his head.]

How very kind of you, but I think I'll be all right. I was looking for a place to live. Nova City have these "robots". I don't think this city suits me.

[Oh, how very charming that they all do the same! Ah, he realized he was rambling.]

You trained your pokemon very well.

You'd be surprised...

[Though she'll keep a lid on the fact that she's a magic-wielding Princess who lives in Nova.]

I like to think that I'm lucky to meet Pokémon who love being with people. Though I still need work on a couple...

[Mismagius is definitely one of them.]

I was! They protect the people here, so people like yourself can sleep soundly.

But you have your guardians, so that's good.

[Smiling again.]

Well, I hope not to take much of your time, as it's best for me to get going.

Very well. I wish you the best, Sir.

[She may as well go home as well. She recalls her Pokémon to their respective encapsulation devices and prepares to head out.]
