[ Gohan wasn't used to sitting still in a hospital for so long. He was used to being active, to doing whatever he could to help people in any way. He wasn't necessarily scared of hospitals like his father was, definitely not. But... he could see how being in a hospital for so long could be frustrating, especially with their tendency to refuse to let him do much of anything other than lie in bed and wait.

Still, he was patient. He waited until he was at 100%, if only to not have to come back. Now he was fully recuperated, somehow feeling even stronger than before. However, he chalked that up to simply feeling better, and didn't go any further into it.

Currently, he was sitting on the edge of the hospital roof, wearing a blue hospital gown. An embarrassed expression on his face, as he offered the camera a wave. He had the videophone set on the floor, if only to have his hand free. But even with the odd angle, it was obvious that he was much better than he was the first time he showed his face. What with the lack of copious amounts of blood and all. ]

Uh, hi there. [ A brief pause. ] First off, I guess I should apologize to anyone I might've scared when I first showed up. I wasn't in the best condition, and I doubt that was something that needed to be made public. So, if the sight of me was... unsettling to anyone, I'm really sorry.

[ He's had a lot of time to think about that apology. After all, he could only imagine how scared he could've made some kids with the sight of him covered in blood from head to toe. ]

So I've been thinking, and... I probably need a place to stay once I get out of the hospital. [ He's looking away from the videophone now, staring off into the distance. Basically rambling out loud. ] The money I got in the envelope can probably only get me so far in that regard, so I imagine I need a job too... [ He frowns a bit then. ] I don't... exactly have job experience though... or even any clothes, for that matter. [ He looks down at his gown, tugging at it. ] So um... I guess, if anyone can help me figure out how I can get a job, some clothes, or a place to live, I'd really appreciate it!

[ Suddenly, a loud growl can be heard over the video. Gohan's face twisting into complete surprise, before a sheepish smile spreads across his face. ]

... Or food...

It's not like you can really control how you show up here, right? Don't worry about it. Aside from that, I bet you've gotta be good at something. You must be strong, right? Those muscles don't look like they're for show.

[But they're more or less in the same boat. He's been camping out in a more secluded part of the city with a cheap tent he managed to buy. It doesn't look like much, but he seems comfortable in it.]

[This was Temari's favorite spot in the hospital. There was no scent of bleach or anti-septics up in the roof. There was just the wind. Strong, brisk and warm. It reminded Temari of the strong winds that protected Suna. It calmed her.

Then a few moments later, she noticed one of her patients sit on the roof with his communicator. He wasn't doing anything dangerous, so Temari just watched. When he was done, Temari skipped a few meters in front of Gohan and just stared at him.]

I can help you with the first two. I can also treat you right now to some food at the cafeteria. They're healthy and a bit tasteless, but they still offer food.

[Annnnnd just like that, Tao's attention is piqued. BEHOLD, GOHAN, YOU'VE MADE A FRIEND. ~~Albeit one that's got a more expansive appetite than you.~~]

Tao knows that there are plenty of restaurants all over the city, meow!! Spiky Guy and Tao can grab a lot of things to eat!

You look pretty strong - maybe you could get a job in construction or something? I guess I'm in the same boat as you though.. I've never had a job, unless you count helping out in my dad's dojo. But I guess I'll have to get one now. ...

What kind of condition did you show up in if you can't wear the clothes you arrived in?

I'm glad you're feeling better. I have also been having problems with finding a job and permanent residence.

[Terra is shy but she is trying to stay in contact with those she has met in the city. She tries to sound friendly but her sweet voice is still soft.]

I'm just covering my bases. Whether I was in control or not, it still happened, and I wanted to apologize for it.

[ Even the people who saved him were completely and utterly shocked at the extent of his injuries. He could only imagine just how much he might've scarred any children who could've been watching. ]

W-Well, I've been training... pretty much my entire life, I guess. I could probably do anything that require heavy grunt work, if it came down to that. [ A pause. ] I technically also have a college level education, but it's been years since I've properly studied... so I'm not sure if that's the best route to take.

Anyway, my name's Gohan. It's nice to meet you too, Ryu.

[ As much as Gohan didn't like being cooped up in the hospital, he wasn't going to be like his father and train when he shouldn't have. He had enough sense to know that he needed to recuperate, and that training could potentially set his recuperation back.

He just really didn't like being cooped up with nothing to do. Although at the mention of cafeteria food, Gohan couldn't help but perk up. ]

To be perfectly honest, I can pretty much inhale anything so long as it's edible. It's hard to be picky when you're hungry.

[ Which was totally and absolutely true. Given how limited resources were back home, he'd adjusted to eating less and being less picky. It probably had something to do with why he couldn't get any stronger, but it also wasn't something he could fix back then. ]

So... you know of any job openings, then?

[ ~~Challenge accepted.~~ ]

Spiky Guy, huh? Is that me? [ Of course it was him, who else could it be? ] Well, Spiky Guy would definitely love to grab something to eat.

Spiky Guy's name is Gohan though. And I imagine you're Tao.

So what exactly happened to cause those injuries, if you don't mind me asking? Is it something here in the city? And what's a college?

[Chi Chi would have a field day with this one.]

If you mentioned education, it must be some kind of school. What kind of things did you study?

Helping in a dojo is probably still more job experience than me. I mean, I guess I technically have a college level education, but it's been so long since I've picked up a book, that I'm not sure if it's a good idea to rely on that. Construction could probably work, if I can't find anything else.

[ The idea of building homes for people sounds really appealing though... ]

W-Well, I was... pretty banged up. My clothes were pretty much rags, and they were completely covered in blood. They're pretty much unsalvageable.

[ Gohan got the impression that she was pretty shy. So he can't help but smile widely when he sees her. It's nice to know she wants to keep in touch. ]

Well, I don't know much about how jobs and homes work here, but I can let you know if I find anything that could help you. [ A pause. ] Actually, since you healed me... couldn't you work at the hospital, maybe?

Maybe... [Terras voice trails off. She would love to work there but she had the feeling that if she doesn't find the right thing to do it might lead to trouble. Like trouble is keeping an eye on her.] I don't heal using conventional methods though.

I can bring you some food that doesn't jiggle.

[ Hospital jello was never something she wanted to face to be honest and right now? She worked at a restaurant. Getting an extra slice of pizza in a box wouldn't be a problem. ]

But I can't help you with the rest unless you have money to pay me back.

[ She doesn't want to be stingy but this isn't exactly the highest paying job that she can go around buying clothes for acquaintances.

..She'd ask if he was okay but he's not dead so that answers that without it looking like she's concerned. ]

[She said pointing back at the stairwell. This was her chance to monitor his body movements to see if everything was indeed fully restored to physiologic standards. She still wasn't as good as Sakura or Princess Tsunade, but she was good enough.]

There's a employment center within the city, so you can apply for a job if you have anything in mind...for now.

I'm about to set up a gym with a dojo of sorts. Fighting is still my number one asset, so that's why I want to set a business which revolves around it. If you wish, I could hire you as one of the instructors. That is, if you're well enough.

The hours will be flexible, so you have a chance to acquire a secondary means of employment.

I guess so - but there's no dojos around here, so that option is kind of out. For me at least. Is there anything else you know how to do?

I guess that explains why you're still in your hospital clothes. I'm glad you're better though. I don't have anything that I could loan you - but don't hospitals usually have some kind of lost and found? They can't discharge you without you having something to wear..

If your clothing was still intact I could try mending it for you.
