With the Trauma Centre up and running, Grievous was conducting interviews for healers, counselors and the sideline of defense instructors. Having been contacted by a few people, he arranged this meeting with Luke Skywalker. Their previous encounter hadn't been very productive. In fact, it had been more destructive with Luke being a noisy neighbor in an potentially embarrassing situation and Grievous had smashed down his door, thinking something more dangerous was going on. It hadn't gone well - and the Skywalker name also made Grievous wary. He may have some better understanding between certain Jedi now but he was far from trusting all of them.

That he was even considering hiring one at his Centre - something very important to him personally and professionally - was a big step forward.

In Nova City, he invited Luke to visit the Centre and he would be instructed to come to the front offices to meet up with Grievous for the job interview. Luke had expressed interest in multiple areas and the cyborg wanted to make sure his qualifications were appropriate for any and all of these tasks. He may be hiring volunteers for minimal pay but he still wanted to make sure they knew what they were doing.
