Action; Genessia Park

[Takeru had not really expected much to happen when he picked up an egg, expecting it to really be anything but an egg. However, he soon found out that it was something else completely. Instead, he found himself both physically and mentally younger, back to the time before his whole adventure in the Digital World were a thing, which meant one thing was for certain... he was a crybaby.

Takeru had been walking through the park when it happened so he was currently looking around, unsure as to where he was. This wasn't camp that much was certain. It was clearly a park that he didn't remember going to. Tears had started to well up in his eyes as soon the young man was crying right in the middle of the park, causing quite a few stares. But he didn't care. he was somewhere he didn't know where all alone supposedly and no idea how to find who he needed to. In his mind, he had a right to be upset.]

[Once things had calmed down and Takeru had come across the device, he started fiddling with it and eventually he manages to switch it on, showing a young 7 year old boy with a head of blond hair and blue eyes staring down at the device.]

I don't know what this is exactly, but I think it's working...

[He literally had no idea what it was but he figured it might help.]

I'm a little lost and faaaar away from camp. So I need help finding someone. [He looked away from the device, he looked rather worried, to say the least, he really was not happy and it wasn't long before the device switches off.]

[He was keeping to himself and he really had no clue where he was, the names of streets and such were so foreign to him. How did he get here? What purpose was it for? Whatever it was the young man soon found his stomach grumbling.]

I guess I'm hungry... But... [he slowly looks around, he was pretty sure he didn't have any money on him, or knew... what currency they even had here. So all the young man could do was wander and stare in various food places all the while his stomach grumbled.]

[The eggs being scattered about was a source of inspiration for Sayori - but the sudden confusion from people who had been picking them up before made her wonder if something was going on. All of the eggs she'd found were chocolate, at least.

Hearing someone say they were hungry, she stopped in front of the child, looking at the food place he was staring at, and then back at him.] Hey! What's wrong?

...are you okay?

[If Takeru were to look up at that moment, he would see a young girl. His age. Maybe slightly older. Her hair was short and she looked like she was wearing pink pajamas. And carrying...was that an egg?]

Are you lost too?

[Despite her question, she didn’t seem afraid. Confused, yes, and there was a degree of concern in her wide eyes as she stared down at the young boy.]

[It was enough to get him to stop crying if for a moment before looking over at whoever it was that talked to him. So far it was fair to say he had no idea who they were. Which considering this place was not at all surprising.

But the upside at least was the fact she did look his age, if slightly taller than him.]

...Yeah. I don't remember coming here. I just found myself here. [It was weird. He last remembered where he was heading and that it had been sorted so he could go even if he wasn't from the same school. Though he paused for a moment. He couldn't help but notice the egg. He was confused on that one.] Why are you carrying an egg?

[He turned his head slightly, noticing them he wasn't sure what to think. But they didn't seem like they were going to cause him harm, so he figured he could at least answer them.]

I'm a long way from home and I guess I'm getting hungry and unsure of the currency and stuff here.

[She glances down at the object in her hands. Then back up again.]

I found it.

[Because that explained everything.]

[The boy seemed to stop crying for the moment, at least. Nothing about him seemed familiar, and yet...she felt a strange kinship. Maybe because, by his words, they were in the same situation.]

Me too. [She looked around and recognized nothing.] Mama told me to stay home until my fever got better. The last thing I remember was taking a nap in my room. I don’t know how I got here either.

So you just randomly found it and picked it up?

[The egg Takeru had found was in his pocket currently, not having been noticed by the boy. Though the first thing Takeru noted was the fact she said she had a fever before coming here, so as it really a good idea for her to actually be out and about?]

The last thing I remember was going to camp, but if you have a fever, should we find you somewhere to lie down?

Yeah... we all are, huh? [She looks over to the food place.] Well! If you want, we can get some food there. I've got some money we can use here, too. I know it's unsettling to be far away from home.

What's your name, little guy? I'm Sayori.

[A nod. As if it were the most obvious choice to make.]

[Then, Hikari smiled when he asked if she needed to lay down. Sweet of him as it was to ask, she confidently shook her head.]

I’m fine. I don’t even feel warm anymore.

[But then something else he’d said registered. That he’d been at camp. Where she knew Taichi to be. Where she should have been, but couldn’t because of her cold. And she wondered if it was the same camp.]

I wish I could have gone. Oniichan was so excited. It sounded like a lot of fun.

[This was frustrating! But regardless..]

[ Idly going through his feed wasn’t usually the kind of daily past time that caused Yamato minor heart attacks, but when he nearly scrolled past the bright, tiny face of his own brother this time, he was pretty sure everything stopped functioning for a second, or maybe three. ]

[ Seemingly looking back at him right there wasn’t the Takeru that had sent himself off on some errand mere hours ago. The teen he’d almost muttered a “you’ve grown up” to just the other day. This was his little brother the way he remembered him from years ago, bright-eyed, round-faced, and so, so young. ]

[ Yamato was hitting that video reply button on auto-pilot, not even questioning the why and how as that ingrained big brother instinct took over before his thought could even begin to catch up. ]

Takeru! [ He choked out, confused, his voice urgent and his brows furrowed with worry. ]

Were you meant to go to camp?

[It couldn't be the one he was meant to be going to, could it? Different camp would seem like the likely choice. But he seemed to be okay just talking about it at least.]

You have an Oniichan too? [They seemed to have some things it common and it interested him.] My Oniichan was the reason why I was going to camp.

[There was a notable change in Hikari as the subject of oniichans came into play. Her whole face seemed to brighten, eyes gaining a hint of sparkle to them as she nodded.]

It was the same with me. I wanted to go so I could be at camp like Oniichan. He takes care of me a lot when mama and papa aren’t home, so I knew it wouldn’t be scary as long as he was there.

[Takeru couldn't help but seem awfully puzzled. Someone that knew his name, but in all honestly, it just was not clicking as to who they were. At least as far as he was aware anyway.]

That's my name but... [He looked confused still.] Who are you?

[ Yamato didn't know what he had expected, but not spotting that familiar look of recognition in his little brother's eyes wasn't one of these things. ]

It's me, Yamato! [ He urgently told the little guy, hoping now it would click. That he looked nothing like his old self to Takeru hadn't even crossed his mind. ]

You two sound pretty close.

[Takeru paused for a moment, it sounded way different than him and his brother either way.]

I'm not very close with mine. Mama and papa separated when we were young, so I live with mama and he lives with papa.

[He tilted his head slightly... Nope, not clicking right away.]

Oniichan? [He tilted his head the other way for a moment as if he was still trying to figure it out.]

You don't look like oniichan.

[She very nearly nodded. Prepared to tell him about how her big brother was the most important person in the whole wide world to her...but his latter statement stopped any potential gushing cold. And she immediately felt bad. Almost guilty. That she got to see her brother all the time and he, from the sounds of things...did not.]

But you can still feel close to someone even if you don’t live together.

She didn’t know how true it was for him, but again, something he said before led her to suspect.]

You even said you wanted to go to camp because of him...right?

You arrived here suddenly as well?

[Takeru looked at her for a moment. It was very nice of her to offer and it would seem rude to, o he smiled grateful for it.]

Thank you Miss Sayori. I'm Takeru.

[He nodded slightly. A small smile on his face.]

It was planned for me to go, even if I'm not from the same school.

[He wasn't sure what he was going to expect really, maybe they were expecting the whole thing to help the both of them in a way, but he really had no idea if that was going to work or not.]

I'm not sure if it will help us be close or not, but I want to at least think it will help in some way. But if it doesn't, it doesn't. [He kept his hands to the side for the moment.]

But it must be nice having your oniichan with you a lot of the time.

Oniichan.

[Maybe a name would be a good idea in this case.]

His name is Yamato.

[Looks like Takeru and Dray had eaten similar eggs, as the Eidion found himself turned into a small kitten and totally lost. He was looking for his family and mewling in distress when he heard the crying.

Out of instinct, Dray approached the strange furless creature. Maybe it was injured? If Takeru is paying attention, he might notice that the kitten looking at him with curiosity is wearing a necklace as well.]

I think it will.

[She seemed to hesitate about something before making a decision. She was feeling better, yes, but while they were talking, there was no reason for her to not sit down for a bit. So she did. A fair distance back so she didn’t risk intruding on any personal space, but close enough that they could continue talking.]

It is nice.

[She was deliberately holding back. Choosing her words as carefully as possible so she didn’t accidentally make him sad or feel like he was missing out.]

But I also know I can’t be with him all the time. That’s why I told him to go on to camp without me. So I wouldn’t keep him from having fun just because I wasn’t able to this time.

...Never heard of him.

But! [Sayaka perked up] Where are you now? Maybe we can go looking together?

I'm currently smashing a lot of these eggs if you want to join? Its super fun. No doubt your brother's doing it.

[only the cool kids break and hide eggs with a baseball bat]

[Takeru had gone to sit down next to her, realizing that really he should wipe the tears that were still on his face and using his sleeve to do so.]

That was very nice of you to say. Though it must have been very lonely being home.

I currently just left the park.

[He met someone nice there for the most part but then parted ways. He had no idea where he was planning on going next really. Just wondering, getting scared about this place he didn't know.]
