[Jack's device turns on but instead of the immortal captain's smiling face there is the serious face of a confused five year old with messy black hair and startled blue eyes. For a moment he looks like he is about to start crying but then something on the screen appears to distract him for a second and he pokes it with a soft shy giggle.]

[The little boy claps his hands in complete delight at this and pokes the screen again happily]

Fish go splash.

[Soft laugh.] Yeah. Want to go see even more fish? [And she used his real name, hoping she got it right.]

[The little boy nods excitedly. He's very trusting given everyone in his colony knows everyone and since the lady used his name he must know her.]

Beach? Go swim?

Mm-hm! [Delighted she's on the right track, and takes his hand in hers.] If you want! Can you swim? Might be a bit cold though!

[Jack gives her a puzzled look. If she knew his name she should know he learned how to swim at three. He tugs on her hand]

Swim. Water is fun, water is where fish are.

[She laughs and nods, in her defense, she couldn't tell how old he was, she was awful with kids.] Okay okay, let's go! Wanna race?

[Jack nodded excitedly. He wasn't much of a talker as he'd be when he was older but he still enjoyed having fun and he tugged on Rose's hand again]

["Runs" as if in slow-mo, purposely exaggeratedly acting like she's stuck in molasses.]

[Jack giggles and shoots ahead running as fast as his little legs will let him.]
