[Action] Scrambled plans

[After much thinking and planning, Sakura waited until night fall to make her move. Too many people are blaming the eggs, and she felt it was time to do something about it.

Under the cover of night and a wand in hand, Sakura called on her magic to release the power contained in a ornate-designed card.]

Float Card! Lift the mysterious eggs from hiding!

[Touching the card with the wand, the magic is unleashed. At dozens at a time, colorful eggs began to float and move to where Sakura (and Tomoyo) can reach. With extra pillow cases in hand, Sakura began to scoop up the floating eggs. What to do with them afterwards is still a work in progress.

Now, after filling two pillow cases worth of these eggs, Sakura looked back to see how her efforts...

Have been entirely for nothing!!]

Ho-Hoeeee?! The eggs! More took their place?!

[What the heck is she going to do now? She can only dispel The Float before someone walks by and sees.

And just in time to. Somebody is already heading her way.]

(Ta-da! It's only Tomoyo, literally popping up by Sakura's side with a pillow case full of eggs. She hasn't yet purchased a video camera, but that was the first thing on her list to do. She has tied it up so none of the eggs will roll out, however.)

Hmm...it doesn't seem like it'll be that easy to remove the eggs if more take their place.

[Sakura's used to Tomoyo appearing unexpectedly at times.

She tries using The Float again to remove a few number of the eggs, and once again, more replace them. She sighs in a defeated manner. If this happens, then...]

Tomoyo-chan? I think we're out of options...

[She briefly considered The Erase, but more will just appear as well.]

(While Tomoyo doesn't feel quite right without filming Sakura's exploits, in this case a part of her has a tiny bit of relief. This defeat at the hands of eggs doesn't sound like something she'd want to rewatch.)

There's nothing more we can attempt?

(She reaches out to give Sakura a comforting hug. She did her best, and they did think of every conceivable option on the table.)

[A hug is nice, so she hugs back. It's definitely not a good feeling to lose out to this.]

I can only think of using The Erase, but I think that will have the same result...

If this is one of the "weird" things Genessia does, maybe we can find records of past happenings? Or ask someone who has been here longer?

Mm.

Perhaps we can. I think everyone else is too busy either dealing with the eggs or have been affected by them somehow.

(There was something they were missing. If they couldn't carry them, move them or erase them...)

Sakura-chan?

[Sakura was quietly deep in thought for anything they might have missed. They can't touch, move or erase them, then maybe they can...

Though her thoughts were broken when Tomoyo called for her, and curiously glanced at her best friend.]

Hm? What is it, Tomoyo-chan?

(Tomoyo might've been reading Sakura's mind, or vice versa, as she was giving her a knowing smile before going on.)

Do you recall the tale of Humpty Dumpty? It's quite popular in America among their children.

Humpty Dumpty?

[Sakura goes quiet to remember the nursery rhyme...]

Had a great fall... All the king's men... Could not put Humpty together again...

I wonder... If we can't remove them completely... Maybe we can move them to a new hiding spot? Where they can't be easily reached?

[Oh look, a big... demonic... Satan. He looks like a typical Satan, having to clean out the restaurant of eggs and stuff them into bags, horns, red eyes, really buff and cloven hooves. But he tromps over, a delivery bag slung over his shoulder full of eggs with a friendly smile on his face.]

Hey, need some help? I've got a few bags here.

[In one glance, Sakura was shocked. This is the first non-human looking person she's seen that wasn't a Clow card. She can tell.

The only thing keeping her from running away was the offer to help.]

Hoee?

Umm... Yeah... I don't know what to do with all these eggs.

Maybe I can help. It might be easier if I levitate them all at once.

[Holding up his hand, it glowed a shade of red as several eggs began to float up into the air.] That should probably be easier to clean up now.

[Huh?! She just tried that and the eggs were replaced by new ones. But she can't tell him that.

Not the entire story, at least.]

B-But I tried moving them with pillow cases earlier, but new ones appeared...

(Just as hopeful and determined as ever.)

You've been here for much longer than I have, but I don't think the solution could be remedied like that. Perhaps it's as the rhyme says. 'Could not put Humpty together again.'

[It was lucky then, because he had been afflicted by 5 already, and everything he touched turned into harmless chocolate.]

Hmm, and you haven't been afflicted by any of them?

Um, well, I've been avoiding touching them directly.

[Careful, Sakura. You're hint at magic might be slipping.]

[Maybe Sakura was trying too hard to outsmart Genessia? Thinking about the rhyme again... Maybe the roles are actually reversed?

She recalls the clow staff and once more brings out The Float. Looks like the only thing left to try is smash the eggs.]

I think I get it now...

[Sakura calls on the magic of The Float to raise around twelve eggs from hiding and shift them just enough to hit hard surfaces when she dispels the Clow card.

She reaches out and gently takes Tomoyo's hand, giving her a knowing glance. She doesn't know what's really going to happen, since this is Sakura's first time "fighting" something that wasn't Clow magic.

She dispels The Float, turning away as around a dozen eggs freely drop and hit the curbs and asphalt with eggy pops. After a moment, Sakura glanced over at the litter of eggshells and not much else, but doesn't see any signs of the eggs being replaced.]

...Did it work?

Ah, well, I have been, since the restaurant was full of them. After about five of them they stopped pranking me and gave me nothing but chocolate.

[Really now? Directly, that implies some levitation.]

(Tomoyo responds with gently squeezing Sakura's hand and returning the glance, watching in awe and astonishment as the eggs all float from their hiding places as well as the pillow case she'd been holding onto.

After a few moments, she hugs the brunette close as the eggs smash and break on the surface before allowing her to turn back around.)

It doesn't appear like the eggs have repaired themselves. You did it, Sakura-chan~!

[With that, Sakura hops and cheers in joy. She defeated a bunch of inanimate eggs! Yipee! But there's just one problem.]

I did it! But...there's still countless more in all the cities...

[And out comes a sad little "hoee~" If only she had The Dash, she could get around faster, but as they are, this could take, realistically, several nights.]

I guess I better get started on the rest of them. What are you going to do, Tomoyo-chan?

There's only one thing to do...

(Tomoyo stands up straight, and poses in a dramatic fashion before pointing toward Sakura with a near-ecstatic expression.)

I must locate the nearest shop, purchase the best video camera they have and film your heroic exploits in EVERY city until we've returned to our new home together! I shall call it 'Sakura's Eggs-cellent adventure!'

[Sakura is mentally flailing now due to Tomoyo's insistence. And maybe the pun.
At least she isn't trying to help her come up with a magical girl pose and catchphrase this time?]

B-But... Tomoyo-chan? Aren't the stores closed right now...?

I'm certain a few stores are open past midnight, Sakura-chan. Besides, you need your sleep just as much as I. The rest of the eggs aren't going anywhere.

(Tomoyo would indeed insist on a magical girl pose and catchphrase...when Sakura was wearing the proper costume.)

[If you're saying Sakura should go on home first to rest for the next night...]

Okay, but I'm going with you. I'd be worried about you otherwise. We can go home for the night after we've found you a camera.

(Tomoyo would be worried if Sakura passed out mid-adventure...plus, she wouldn't be able to record anything.)

Of course! And we can see about finding a place where designers are an absolute must.

[That must mean "find a job." Yeah, Sakura should find a part-time job herself. Goodies don't buy themselves, after all.]

I hope we find you a designer job, too. Everyone will love what you make.

[They should probably get going before Sakura falls asleep right there. Time to get moving!]

Of course they will, because you'll showcase my best costumes and designs! We'll say you're my model for each of them.

(Tomoyo's ready to go whenever Sakura is. Falling asleep amongst broken eggshells isn't how she thought her first few evenings would turn out.)

[Sakura laughs. Indeed, she will do it for Tomoyo. After all, she really likes everything she made.]

Let's go then! We have a lot to prepare for.

[And with that, of they go! Tomorrow night officially begins "Sakura's Eggs-cellent adventure!"]
