NEWSPAPER - BIWEEKLY EDITION
[Did you subscribe to The Genessia Tribune? Did you even remotely wish you had a newspaper or some other form of media to refer to for news, weather, and current events? Then you're in luck! There's a paperboy riding through the streets of Genessia flinging newspapers onto doorsteps or, if you're unlucky, through your window. Even remote locations in the other cities will still get a paper if one of the residents ever wanted one. The Paperboy is just that dedicated.]

Heartless Killer Claims Victim
The body of 28-year-old Allen Willows was discovered washed up on the riverbank in Everglade on April 4th in the early morning. The victim's cause of death appears to be several brutal blows to the back of the head, causing the skull to fracture in multiple places. Willows's chest cavity appeared to be sliced open with a sharp instrument, likely a knife, and his heart was no longer there. Police are searching the riverbanks upstream for clues that might identify the killer, but as of yet they have been unable to locate the approximate site where the body was dumped. No witnesses have stepped forward at this time. Willows was last seen leaving his home to meet with friends at the local pub, but according to the proprietor, he never arrived. While residents are urged to take precautions, there appears to be little alarm given the nature of Everglade and its more gruesome denizens. "I don't know what more we can do," beleagured patrolman John Griffon said in an earlier interview. "The citizens wear crosses, carry holy water, and I'm pretty sure everyone's got some sort of silver weapon on them. You can't protect yourself against every unholy horror in this place. This sort of thing just happens. People die, monsters eat them. I hate to say that we're used to it, but it's common to wake up one morning and find out your neighbor's just a greasy smear on your front lawn."
Fire in the Sky Contained
Nova City's high in the sky luxury apartment complex Skyhouse Network experienced a fire on Wednesday. The fire took place in the apartment of former Nova City Guardian Mercury Black and his roommate, Emerald Sustrai. Emerald Sustrai was not found anywhere near the scene of the fire and was unable to be found for questioning. It appears that the fire was started from within the apartment and many of the possessions were removed before the apartment went up in flames.
The owner of Skyhouse Network stated that the fire was contained from the get-go, given that the apartments are built using state of the art burn-free materials, same as are used in standard construction of government buildings, schools, and other Nova City buildings. It was an interior-only fire and the worst of the damage done was scorch marks.
"Needless to say, the previous tenants will not be getting their deposit back," said owner Opal Sparrow, "Continuing and future tenants of the Network can be assured that all safety functions within the complex are working perfectly, and no one should experience problems due to the arson."
