Fate 001 [Accidental Video/Action]

[Accidental Video]

[There is a sound like an angry roar from some kind of beast over the network but no face yet on the other end though you might see the flash of something large covered with fur and with claws. Somebody is not happy to find himself here at all before, and his voice is loud in his anger.]

What curse has been put upon me now?! Who is responsible for this?!

[The one on the other end does not understand the idea of a phone, so the camera is all over the place but eventually Beast seems to point the device at himself, and yup, he's angry. Somebody does not know how to hold back his temper.]


[Action]

[Had he not already dealt with enough? Now he had been removed from his castle against his will, and that had been the only safe haven he'd had. Even more, he'd just lost Belle. Could he not be left alone?

Beast is storming his way out of the Bay and growling at the same time. You had to be awfully gutsy to approach someone like Beast. Anger never really did make him look too good to others. If anything, it could be rather frightening.]

[Belle's walking home from the library when her path takes her near enough to the bay to run across her captor. She instantly freezes, accidentally dropping her books to the pavement despite the fact that they are several yards away from each other. She can't believe it's really him, the beast that had kept her locked away in that castle. It isn't something she's spoken openly about and now that she's facing him again, she isn't sure what to do. She's gotten used to her life here, the freedom of it, and she doesn't want to lose that again... She's quick to snap out of her thoughts and reach for the books that have spilled onto the sidewalk. Perhaps he hadn't seen her?]

[The sound of a angry person in the Bay where Draculaura was checking out once more to see if some of her friends appeared, was somewhat normal to her. But seeing the video and seeing him, and most importantly how he looked made her fearful.

Not fearful in the normal way, oh no, it took a lot to scare Draculaura.

Fearful in a way that the words intersected.]

Excuse me sir, but you're the Beast from the old stories right?

[Because if she was right, she was going to have a meltdown.]

[The sound of the books dropping makes him turn on the sound suddenly almost like he was going to rip someone a new one, but then.....he stops. Belle....it was Belle. Almost as quickly as his anger had come, it subsides. She was here. How was she here? He'd let her go and she'd left him. So how had she gotten caught up in whatever curse this was with him?

He glanced down to the books she'd dropped and moved to help her pick them up. He certainly didn't seem like the Beast she had known before now. He looked...almost gentle now.]

Belle....you're here.

[When he heard someone speak to him, he turned on them quickly, a growl in his throat.]

What?!

[He was the Beast yes, but he didn't know what stories she was talking about.]

Who are you?!

[Belle is almost startled when the Beast begins to help her collect the books she'd dropped. Her books vary from histories of other worlds to literature of their time period to how-to books that included basic mechanics of every day items. She's taught herself almost everything through books. Her hand gently brushes against the beast's claw as she takes the book he had picked up and slips it into her basket.] Thanks. [She sounds very uncertain.] Are you really the same Beast I met before? [Belle is very confused but then, she's been here for over half a year... has she somehow remembered incorrectly.]

[Draculaura looked worried, but not frightened as she said,] You must be. It's... what I feared would happen. You're not a monster like I am, you're from... across the margin.

[What she said didn't make sense but she clutched the Mapalogue in her hands.] I'm Draculaura. And I think... my meddling in the margins might have caused all of this. I'm sorry...

[He only seems to soften more at that touch, but her question.....it makes him frown and look....was that worry mixed with confusion?]

Do you....not remember?

[Belle isn't sure what she's supposed to remember but, after the fiasco with Gaston a few month's back, she's beginning to think she has forgot something. It doesn't sit well with her but there is little that can be done about that now.] The last I remember was being in the tower. [She pauses.] You had taken me in my fathers place.

So you are the one who caused this?! Then fix it!

[Yeah, her words had not calmed him down any. If anything, they'd only seemed to piss him off even more.]

The tower? That seems so long ago now. So, you truly do not remember.

[He actually seems disappointed about that. It meant she didn't remember the time they'd been spending with each other either.]

You are no longer my prisoner. I let you go.

[Letting her go had been one of the hardest things he'd ever had to do, but he'd done it....because he loved her, and even if she could not return that love to a Beast like him, he would always still love her.]

I don't know if I can! It should have been fixed a month ago, but if more people are coming from other stories then it might be out of control by now. [said Draculaura, wringing her hands.]

I don't think these pods are just doing this for a reason, I think it's meant to stabilize the process but I don't know... I'm not Frankie who could figure this out.

Well I suggest you figure it out if you caused it! NOW!

I think it caused it but it should have been fixed! It's not like I can say "Apple White extro Monstra" and get a hold of Apple anymore!

The stories are supposed to be separate, so that there's no crossover. Here, it's like circumventing the rules, and I can't do anything about it!

[Her expression was so crestfallen, and while she wasn't still intimidated, she was still very much upset at herself.]

I'm sorry... but without the powers of Shadow High and the Narrators, I don't think I can fix it anymore.

[He actually starts circling her almost like a predator.]

The find another way!

[Because that is not a good enough answer for him at the moment.]

[Surprise flickered across Belle's features as she looked up at the Beast. She has no reason to trust him but she knows, somehow, that what he's saying is true.] Why? [She whispers the question before her voice finds its strength again.] Why let me go?

I'll have to. It's my responsibility now. If I can't get at least one person home, then it'll be all worth it.

[Draculaura looked over her shoulder at him.] I promise I'll look for a way. I was sent here with the Monster Mapalogue. Which means there's always hope. I'm just hoping, that I'm not wishing for something that isn't do-able.

[He seems to hesitate at that question. What did he tell her? He couldn't tell her the truth, right? She could never love a Beast like him after all, and so he opts for a different truth.]

Your father needed your help. Besides, can anybody be happy if they aren't free?

[The last bit was quoting something she had specifically told him, but it seemed like a better thing to tell her then the true reason.]

For your sake right now, I certainly hope you can manage a solution.

Right. I'll head to the library, and try to figure out a solution. I don't know what I can do, but I can't give up now. Not if i want my world to be safe, and yours.

[Belle's expression softens and a smile teases the corner of her lips.] That is true. Thank you- [She pauses though there isn't any uncertainty in her this time.] -for thinking of my happiness and my father. Is he alright? I've been so worried since I first arrived here. [It's been so long...]

[The way he was growling said she better work on it. He really wasn't liking this new curse at the moment and that was exactly what he was seeing it as.]

[In a puff of smoke, she transformed into a bat and flew off into the city.]

I do not know what happened after you left to help him. I believe that...the villagers were committing him to an asylum. That is why you left to help him.

I...apologize that I can not tell you more, however I'd given you my magic mirror so that you might always look back if you chose to do so. I just want you to be happy.

[See, he really had changed quite a bit since she'd first met him.]

[If he wasn't already used to magic and strange things he might have found that more odd then he did.]

[Belle doesn't know what to think but she wants to believe him. It all sounds so wonderful, like a pleasant end to a turbulent story.]

I'm happy to hear that I was able to be there for him. [Her father means the world to her. She wouldn't be the person she is today without him.] Perhaps, I can show you the same kindness now. [Even if she doesn't remember his kindness, she can see it inside of him.]
