[Anastasia comes onto the network bright-eyed and bushy-tailed wearing her school uniform and looking ready for a fulfilling day of learning. Except it's Sunday. And she was sitting at her vanity desk like she was at school.]

Good morning, everyone.

Just one more day until I attend my first day at school, and I was wondering if anyone can help me get prepared for it.

All I ask is to be quizzed on anything in Genessia.

[She's just so excited to be locked away in a classroom all summer and not get any time to play for who knows how long.]

I hope so! I have a ballet class, and I wanted to learn something besides ballroom dances.

Plus, it could be a chance to make more friends.

Did you go to school? Did you make lots of friends there?

Ummmm yeah. [Face scrunch.] Feels like ages ago though, yeah?

No ballet, but I did gymnastics. And Mickey I met before school, he lived in the same Estates as me, but Keisha and Shareen I met at school. None of 'em are here now, but I met my best friends on adventures, and one o' 'em's a professor.

It sounds like you made a lot of friends. I hope I make even one new friend. New friends would make everything worth while.

[Maybe even meet her own Prince Charming. Or maybe she should cut back on those DizNee movies.]

Wait... You said one of your friends is a Professor? Do you mean the kindly elder asking about summer plans and ice cream the other day?

I'm sure you will. Making friends is easy, keeping them is hard.

[Hides a smirk behind her fist and nods.] Right, yeah, the Doctor. I was the one half asleep next to him. He let me stay with him, while my home was acting up. 'Cause he gets mad if I work too hard, so I'm pretty sure sleeping at the office counts for that. For some reason his office is allowed though. [Shrugs.] He's not that old where it counts though. Looks can be decieving.

[How does a house "act up?" Good job, now she's imagining a house throwing a temper tantrum.
But hearing about the Doctor is curious. The kindly elder is the Doctor? Funny. She met another man calling himself the Doctor. So she needs clarification.]

The Doctor...? Doctor who?

All right. What is the Spirits' aim of bringing us here?

[Really, Ted? Giving her the impossible question? Well, two can play at that game.]

Clearly for it to occur, of course.

[There is, astoundingly, an answer to one. Vague and philosophical, but it's there, and open to any who pore over the network like he does.]

Do you mean the spirits outside the barriers that feed on our emotions? Or spirits like Gods or the like?

Aheh, I still mean the ones that brought us here. You know, the ones assigned to each of the five cities.

[If he'd thought about it, that she knew the T-word must mean she was at least moderately educated already.]

I was actually not aware there was a specific spirit for each city. If that's the case, then there must be something that they need that only we can provide.

Assuming you don't mean the ones outside the barrier.

You're learning already! That was certainly their view, as reported. But what is this "something"? Exactly as you can.

[Is there a reason why she doesn't know this? She only heard about what probably powers Everglade's barrier.]

Ahem. We were brought to foster sentient life, repopulate the world, and demonstrate--likely philosophically--what life truly means.

[ Kagura doesn't have a desk yet, or really anything. So, she's sitting on the floor next to her bed, doing her best to pretend it's a desk. ]

Correct! Probably...

[ Kagura lets out a deep breath, as if she's suddenly relieved. ]

I was worried you would not answer in time. School is a contest, so you have to be quick, yes?

Maybe?
I've never attended school before, so I didn't know I have to be quick to answer the questions.

[Anastasia only answered so fast because she was told to be quick about it.]

Me neither, but I have watched a lot of TV dramas about school, so I really know a lot about it, yes?

[ She doesn't. At all. Hopefully someone else will set Anastasia straight if she ever listens to Kagura. ]

Did your parents come here with you? Is that why you have to go to school now?
