[Yuuki hadn't been here for long, but the moment she had stepped put of the Bay into the city, she had seen the damage that had occurred to this place and people who were just trying to tidy up and rebuild what was lost. It wasn't long before she used the device looking quite concerned.]

What... happened here to cause such damage? [She looked over her shoulder slightly as she soon nodded.] I'll be over in a second... Ah, I think I might need some help carrying that. [She turns her focus back towards the device.]

Anyway, I'm Yuuki Cross, I was part of the disciplinary committee back home, but I don't think that is something that works here. [Considering her job with that was to keep the Night Classes secret, she doesn't think that applies here.]

Ah, I offered to help clean up, but I can't help them carry rubble the sizes they are trying to get me to carry, so if you want to help I'll be happy for it. [She gives a small smile before switching off. Back to attempting to be nice and help out.]

[While Caius hadn't seen what happened cause this destruction, getting involved with the effort reminds him of a past from a life long ago. People live here still and Paddra, his home, was destroyed through war.

Without a word, the god of death lends a hand and uses his strength to help. He's watched suffering for far too long when he couldn't do a damn thing while his own world by his own hand had gone through the same as a final act of vengeance against the fal'Cie gods.

He kneels down and lifts one of the larger pieces and takes it to the pile where the rubble is supposed to go.]

[Another new face had just arrived in the bay, and was looking around with a mix of worry and bored confusion.

What was this place? So far, Zelos had concluded that the universe was probably playing a large cosmic-level joke on him, and that for now, he'd have to play along.

Noticing Yuuki nearby, he wondered over and helped her lift one of the larger bits of rubble.]

You need a hand, beautiful?

[Ryu has spent quite a bit more time than he anticipated trying to help clean things up. While he's been clearing one area, he finds four more that still need a bit of extra muscle to clear.

It's here Yuuki might see him, cleaving larger chunks of debris into smaller pieces with his sword, which he then loads into a cart. It's certainly easier than trying to move things piece by piece.]

[Yuuki had moved a small bit of rubble and placed it down where they told her to before she looked over. It looked like someone else was helping out as well. So with a small smile she made her way over to pick up another bit of rubble, or at least try. It was much heavier than she had anticipated and nearly fell over trying to lift it.]

Sorry. It seems like it's too heavy, can you help me please?

[She wasn't expecting someone to do that just after she arrived as she lifted up the rubble with his help.]

Thank you. [She was grateful for the help. But the bit at the end just reminded her of Aidou.]

Also, I am not what you said. But thank you never the less.

[She couldn't help but look over slightly, watching what he was doing very carefully.]

How did you manage to do that? It's impressive.

[Zelos chuckled smoothly at the comment.]

You need to give yourself more credit~ You look pretty cute from here.

[ Oh dear. He hadn't realized she was there.It might be difficult to explain how a human can do these kind of things.]

Oh, this? I've been using a sword since I was young. I've learned a lot in my travels.

[ nailed it.]

[Have a kind person greet you with a bright smile and light yellow coloured bruises.]

Ah, you're new aren't you? I'm sorry you had to see the city in such a state. But I think it'll get better soon, Yuuki-san!

[Caius didn't express a lot and the rubble that has Yuuki pinned is an easy removal. He doesn't complain, nor does he berate the girl from taking on something too heavy, but instead he admired the tenacity than the lack of physical strength.

Once the heavy piece is removed, he gives her a quick once over to check for any sign of injury.]

Can you stand?

[Some habits are hard to break. He was accustomed to being a Guardian, a warrior charged in protecting the Seeress, but here he is a god. Watching over a fragile girl, he's not about to ignore someone for trying. He lowers his hand to help her up.]

[She looked her slightly with a smile. But as soon as she noticed the light colour bruises she gave a small frown.]

I am, but did you get hurt during what happened?

[Her fingers rose to press on her cheeks gently. It still hurt, but she just kept her smile. She didn't need to have a new arrival worry about her.]

Please do not worry. I am alright. I just couldn't avoid everything that happened, but the man I loved did his all to make sure I was well protected.

[She wasn't use to people using swords much except one vampire, so she is somewhat inclined to believe it.]

So that's how people use swords, huh?

W-Well you should get to work rather than saying pretty words, don't you think?

[She's just going to keep working, picking up some nearby rubble.]

[That gave her a tiny smile at least. She had someone who protected her and that was kind of sweet.]

I'm glad you had someone who cared to look out for you, but what exactly happened for him to do such a thing in the first place? What caused all this?

[She looks up slightly, glad that it had been moved, but now that she thought about it, how could that guy be able to move it with ease? She didn't question it she was just wondered as she nodded, taking his hand and helping herself up before wiping down the dirt that got on her dress.]

Thank you. I can stand at least. But um... I guess I came in at a bad time, didn't I?

He is very kind and I love him very much.

I'm not entirely sure either. [She says with a low tone. Her face clearly trying to hide her sadness for what happened to the city.] But he tells me there was this man who said something about showing everyone what Hell felt like. It was horrible.

What hell feels like...

[That didn't sound very nice, but then again something like this couldn't have been very nice. That much was obvious.]

That isn't a good enough excuse for doing this!

It is.

[Then again, she can't think something like this is truly terrible. Not when she knows the man she loved is capable of doing much worse if he felt like doing so. She shrugs and simply bows her head.]

Some people have excuses which are incomprehensible to normal people. Some simply wish to watch the world burn as they lord over the ashes. With no regard to consequences. It is awful.

[Internally, he's glad that she's fine. He has no one to protect here other than the many, and even then he's far from perfect. He can only see what others allow him to see.]

Hm.

[He could lecture her but that's not his place anymore. Instead he nods and returns to work.]

What has compelled you to lend aid? You are clearly in no condition to render it.

It sounds terrible...

[But she at least knows that not everyone is like that. No, there were kind and sweet people who others would think as a bad thing, people who couldn't get along with others. But she knew that maybe that could happen... Maybe believing in it here might help, but she wonders if it really would.]

never the less the excuse doesn't matter. These people were getting along, or at least I assume that much. I hope I'm not wrong?

[Why? Well that was a very good question to ask and one she had to think over. Why did she wan to help when she couldn't move that big rock?]

I guess... I don't like seeing people be sad. Sure that rock was bigger than what I had been moving, but what I have done has helped and that is what matters after all, don't you think? A little can make a big difference.

Hm. The strength of heart is stronger than any weapon. I have seen many lives saved by the smallest of individuals.

[It's more of a realization than anything logical through his own experiences. A small woman in his memories, Serah, faced him in the past, scared and alone she fought.]

You have made a difference even passively.

I haven't been here that long to actually know how most people interact with each other. But for the most part, I believe most everyone strives to have a decent relationship with others.

[She simply smiles bitterly at that. Because she herself knew that the man she loved created a not-so-decent scene when he arrived in the city.]

That's what I seem to get so far.

[So far, but she can't say for certain if that what everyone strives for since it was obvious at least one person didn't want that.]

But either way, its nice to meet you and I hope we have a decent relationship in the future.
