[OKAY LISTEN........ Being told he was ugly by his own reflection didn't go over very well with Eliot. He may have accidentally broken the mirror with his psychic powers. He's licking his own blood from his hands when the video starts, hurt both physically and emotionally by his own self-inflicted pain. ]

I-I don't know what I did, but I think I made my mirror angry at me... [He stops licking his bloodied hand, reminded of what his reflection taunted him about: Being a vampire is his only identity, and his temporary 'ditzy' personality isn't "real." It hurts to know that it's true. As much as he wants to deny it, the taste of even his own blood is slightly addicting.] ... It might be dangerous to be around me. My powers are being weird and moody again. [No, Eliot. You're being weird and moody.]

[Eliot thinks he's dangerous because of his psychic powers, but it's actually straight-up bad luck. Something that becomes apparent very quickly. Eliot can be found suffering all over town: You might see him walk under a window and have water dumped on his head, or trip over air so that he falls on his face. He also has a few near death experiences where he almost gets hit by cars or falling objects... It's just bad.

Anytime someone is near him when shit goes down, he tears up and apologizes like it's his fault:]

I'm sorry... uugh. You didn't get hurt, did you?

A spoon would-- [He cuts himself off. Metal spoons taste good to him, but only because his vampire tastebuds like metallic flavors. Eliot doesn't like that about himself.]

... Actually, no. I'm fine. Just bleeding.

I don't know, but I managed to make it yell at me! It was really rude too! I didn't realize mirrors could be so mean...!

I-I've been trying. Everything seems to be out to get me today.

[Eliot is trying to wringe out his wet coat, without removing his wet hood. This is miserable, but he can't afford to be touched by sunlight.]

At least it's hot out, right? I'll dry off quickly... Glad you're okay.

[anamnestik]

I can't ask that of you. I'm enough trouble already-- [And while licking his mirror wound, he licks a mirror shard and cuts his tongue.

It tastes Eliot a second to realize that he can no longer escape the sweet taste of blood.

Cue a whimper.]

... I don't want to be like this anymoore.

Bleeding?! Where? Do you need help? No one's fine if they're bleeding...

Ahhh... No, it's fine. It's just a bit of bleeding. I'll be fine, really.

[He lowers his hand to his lap, resisting the urge to nibble at his finger.]

Sugar, though, huh? Are you still enjoying sweet things?

Mrrrr.... [Hana stared intently at Eliot in concern

...that is, until sugar was brought up. She perked!]

Of course! Maybe...not as much, but still! Did you know that there's such a thing as rock CANDY? Can you imagine? Maybe they can make blood candy for vampires!

[He giggles, loosening up with her. The distracting conversation is welcomed, until she mentions blood candy.

That thought makes Eliot feel sick. He doesn't want special vampire candy. He doesn't want to ever enjoy the taste of blood, even if his body and taste already enjoy it. Mentally he can resist it.]

Rock candy is straight sugar, though. It'll make you pretty hyperactive.

Eliot pauses the licking anyway, because oops. This isn't very dignified.]

Nnn... When I get moody, my new powers go out of control. And I'm always moody!

I'm fine, I think. My saliva is supposed to numb wounds and speed recovery.

[Hence, the licking.]

I didn't think that they could talk either. Except in that movie about the princess and the apple. I wonder if I made it talk with my psychic powers?

Have I not always been this way? [It’s a legitimate question. Given how frequently he wipes his own memories, Eliot’s personality is often in flux. Without his memories of home, he worries he’s more inconsistent than ever.]

Having so much blood is just really weird...! I’m not used to this. It makes my emotions so much harder to control!

I do not go through any such thing. I do not remember much about who I was before, but I absolutely certain of that much.

[He says confidently with a humored chuckle.]

You love blood! At least, you seem to like your own which is mildly worrisome but now I can cook you that blood sausage recipe I learned. [He's happy to show off his lack of culinary skills.] I'll make sure to use the mystery meat I brought from Everglade.

[Thinking too much about it makes him sick. He has been chewing at his own finger, hasn’t he? Even the spoon thing Ian part of his craving for iron. Ever since he started feeding on monthly doses of Enis’ self-replicating blood, he has felt different. He can’t taste anything but blood and it tastes good.

The offers for more blood don’t set well with him. Combined with the sinking realization that he really does have some type of blood lust, Eliot finally loses it. But not before turning off the video feed, since “losing it” means “getting sick from stress and self hatred, and disgust.”]
