[Not really a fan of these bright and shiny things, but if the magic projector is truthful, then it may be of use in the long run.

When his image is broadcasted, he is taking a clear risk revealing his cat-eared head and heterochromia eyes to a bunch of strangers. Though his smile easily hides any reservations.]

Right, so I'll cut to the chase. Name's Ranulf, and if this woman in white is truthful, I should be making myself comfy for a long vacation I didn't know I wanted.

[He briefly glances to the sky, wincing and showing catty fangs a moment as he looks back.]

Given how it feels like someone used a Bolganonne tome in the sky, I shouldn't dally.

[Lucky for Ranulf, he found his ever-so-wonderful disguise of worn cloak and a hood. And that's how he looks as he wanders around the different cities, almost like a giant walking potato. It's not the most comfortable thing in the world, but at the very least it provides shade from this sun.

The beast Laguz merely carries on, acting like he belongs here while listening on for any information about Telius, the Greil Mercenaries, this weird world and...well, anything. He's even careful to avoid being seen sniffing the air for anyone familiar. Ranulf spots a interesting looking individual, however, and approaches with a friendly smile and a wave.]

Hello there! Excuse me if I'm interrupting, but could you tell me a bit about this town?

[Lethe was too paranoid to respond to Ranulf's video post. She know she'd made enemies last time she was here, and identifying herself as Ranulf's ally could put him in unnecessary danger. She wasn't entirely sure of the situation in this world since it had been nearly four years since she was last here... though she supposed it was possible time flowed differently here. Regardless, when she saw the video post and knew Ranulf was here, she immediately began hunting him down, being able to recognize the scent of her old childhood friend apart from anyone.

She waited until he went down a side street that didn't have anyone else on it before revealing herself, wanting to stay discreet and out of sight for the time being. He probably had already picked up her scent as well, so perhaps it had been an intentional move on his part.]

Hello Ranulf.

[Yup... she was clearly the best at reunions.]

Ranulf?

[Give her a moment to let it sink in.]

RANULF! MY FRIEND!!! Where are you?

[Whoa, this thing IS handy.]

Princess Leanne? [A chuckle, a sight for sore eyes indeed.] According to the map, I'm at something called an archway labeled "Fayren."

[...Dot dot dot. Wait a second.]

You speak the Beorc tongue now?

[She giggles and goes to move towards a window.]

Fayren? I will meet you soon!

[No, she's not going to correct him on her title just yet.]

I do? Oh this place translate my words so I can be understood more easily. I dont know how it does

[Ranulf totally smelled her from a mile away and knew he was going to stumble upon her eventually, so he may as well make it sooner than later. As ~~tsuntsun~~catty as she is, Ranulf simply can't ignore her.]

Hello yourself, Lethe.

[Want a reunion hug? On second thought, maybe not.]

How long have you been waiting?

Well then! I'll await you.

[Some sort of magic? Stranger things have happened.]

Is Reyson and Tibarn with you? What of Ike and his mercenaries?

[She growled, irritated that he was always so flippant... but at the same time she kind of missed that about him.]

Five years.

[Had it really been that long since she was last home in Gallia? Dammit...]

[What in blue blazes? Lethe is catty but holy hell.]

Lethe, I just SAW you after the battle of the Ribahn River. Unless this is about something from when we were small?

[She smiles and nods.]

Good, I would be sad if you keep moving.

[But then he goes to mention some names and hmm...]

Brother Reyson isn't here and neither is Tibarn. Miaciah and Nephenee is here though. They are living where I am at.

[And now she shifts and starts to fly towards Fayren.]

[Lethe pulled her hood down since it was just the two of them, and so that Ranulf could see this wasn't just her typical snarky self. She had been away from home for too long, and the way she looked downright depressed which was a rather uncharacteristic attitude from Lethe, was possible evidence of this.]

I'm not that petty Ranulf. Time flows differently here... I come from a timeline after we won the war, and peace returned to Tellius. After the war, you and Ike disappeared and during the time I went to look for you, I was abducted to another world entirely.

[She sighed, leaning against the brick wall of the building behind her.]

I've spent the last four years in a completely different world... and a month or two in this one at different periods in time. I often wonder if I'll ever see Gallia again.

I'd sooner get declawed than upset you, Princess.

[That's unsettling. For a brief moment, a shock of worry in his heart, he thought Leanne was alone. Then she mentioned Nephenee and Micaiah. That was yet another shock.]

Micaiah? The Maiden of Dawn?

[Ally of the Begnion Empire, enemy of the Laguz Alliance? Ranulf's face turned serious.]

...Clearly we have a great deal to talk about when you arrive.

[Well damn. Ranulf didn't mean to be an ass, but this is a whole new situation for him. He steps toward Lethe]

Lethe, look at me.

[And when she does.]

I'm sorry. I didn't know you went through all that. I still don't understand what's going on, but I believe we're going to be fine. Gallia will be there when we finally go back. Your troops will keep everyone safe.

In the meantime, we still have each other.

Oh my, I shall pray that will never happen.

[She giggles a little as she flies.]

Judging by your reaction, it seems like you have already answered a question I was about to ask you. But yes, we shall talk. I know of a great cafe we can go to though it doesn't compare to Darling's cooking.

Ranulf I...

[He was just the way she remembered him almost half a decade ago. It was as if the time she'd been gone melted away in that one single solitary reassuring sentence. She missed him she really did... he was one of the few friends she could always count on to be level headed when push came to shove and even she couldn't maintain her discipline.]

[She was bowing her head again... she just... looking at him was hard because she was trying not to cry. Why the hell would she be crying anyways? It's not like she was gone that long... it's just... the thought of never seeing him or any of the beast tribe was a very real prospect for her and...

[Well more okay than she's been in a long time anyways... it's just a lot of pent up emotions were getting dragged up just because he was here.

[There's the Lethe he knows. Ranulf wasn't going to push it, though. He respects Lethe too much to overstep any boundaries.]

So tell me, you've been brought here before. What can you tell me about it?

No, just... No. He can't handle having so many questions at once. All he can do is wonder who "Darling" is if she just said that no one else from Telius is here. He'll patiently wait for Leanne to explain everything.]

[Though he hopes she's quick. This damned sun...]

[She shakes her head, once again burying confusing emotions and reporting what she knows like the soldier she is.]

The last time I was here was four years ago, so my knowledge may be a little outdated but I'll tell you what I remember.

[She drew a small in the dirt with her foot, divided into five sections.]

We are here, in Genessia city. There are I believe four other sub cities as well called Fayren, Attleton, Nova, and Everglade. Each city has a guardian appointed by the citizens brought here from other worlds that defend it from harm and upkeep laws of their own devising. Each city has its own level of technological advances and way of doing things, though I believe everglade and Fayren are the only ones that use magic... but I'd argue Nova still does in many ways. Everyone who has been brought here from other worlds has been given this beorc tool with which to communicate with one another. Most of the people brought here try to simply live ordinary day to day lives, running their own business or some such civilian activity to earn their upkeep. The identity or source of the power that brings us here is still unknown, and many have given up trying to find out.

[She looked up at Ranulf after finishing her explanation.]

I believe that's the majority of what I know about this world outside of my interactions with a few individuals here. Laguz and Beorc tensions seem to be relatively low, but they still exist in some places.

[Yes, Darling. And make sure to call Ikki that. No make sure to rub King into his name.]

Yes, it is quite the cute one.... And you don't need to hide yourself here.

[And she is hurrying! In fact, it takes her just a couple moments longer and she circles the area that Ranulf is in, shifting back into her normal form as she lands in front of him.]

I had a hunch if that "Weiss" woman is speaking truth. Are we really not seen as "sub-human" here?

[It was good to see Leanne again, but...something is different. Though the difference in her age-defined appearance is extremely slight, there was something else.

What is that smell?]

No, milady. I was not waiting long at all. It's great to see you again, despite the circumstances.

[Leanne couldn't help but to bristle at the term but nods her head.]

Yes, that is true. There is another cat somewhere in Fayren but he likes to run around in the nude.

[Okay, she giggles as she notices he picked up Ikki's scent on her.]

Please, just call me Leanne. It brings my heart joy to see you again as well.

[And you know what? She is just gonna hug you now!]

[A cat running around in the nude...?]

But that's normal in beast form. Can't wear clothes while we're transformed, after all.

[Totally assuming it's a Laguz. Anyways, if Leanne insists, he'll oblige.]

What even do? He can totally smell someone's scent on her that much more profoundly. It's off-putting, but Ranulf regains himself. Besides... It. Is. HOT. Damn summer heatwave.]

As far as I can tell, yes everything she's said is true. I spoke with her once, and she does seem trustworthy if not a bit... proud.

[A trait that wasn't necessarily a bad thing, but it was something that could rub people the wrong way. ~~As most of Lethe's friends know from dealing with her all too well.~~]

People do disappear from time to time, possibly going home or to other worlds. In my case I went to another world entirely, and that is where I spent the majority of my time. My experience here is much more limited.

No... He does it even not in his beast form. It is quite scandalous.

[But all the hugs! Leanne giggles as she hugs him, letting out happy chirps and cheeps.]

I missed you so much!

[But now, she lets go and nods her head.]

They have something called ice cream. It is basically cold milk.
