[action]
[When Memo wakes, she is completely calm. Blinking and then finding herself in unfamiliar surroundings is quite common for her. What does take her by surprise is tripping out of her pod clumsily. A cute black diary slips out of her hands as she tries to steady herself and plops into the shallow water.
Minutes later, Memo can be found on her kneels right outside of The Bay. She has her head down as the strange, wing-like appendages on her head flap frantically. On closer inspection, she's trying to dry the pages of her diary, which lays open on the pavement. The flapping is also causing her free red bills to fly away, but she doesn't care. A few are folded into origami shapes and one has a bite taken out of it.]
... I cannot read it. What do I do?
[Later, that same girl is on video. This time, her headwings are folded and nestled into her white hair, almost out of sight.
She gives the camera a deadpan stare.]
I am Memo, a disposed of Demon. I request aid.
I am able to compensate you for your trouble. I can remove an unpleasant memory. I am also gifted at origami. I can even make the samurai hat. My request is for food, shelter, and memories of my recent arrival here.
Thank you for your generosity. [and just like that, she hangs up. Or tries to. The video is still running as she takes out her diary and tries to review the content.]
