[Action in Fayren & Genessia]

(Fayren)
[Sometime in the dead of night, a certain Hoshidan Prince walks alone under the cover of darkness through the quiet streets of Fayren and into the woods.
It was here in a small clearing that straw dummies were left here, carefully carried there one by one across the day until now. With Fujin Yumi, and the gentle glow of a couple of torches, Takumi diligently shoots the targets one afyer the other, the sound of the impact echoing through the woods.]

I don't care what anyone says. I need to be strong. I need to stay strong. That way, if anything happens... I can hold my own.

[Takumi will be so focused on his night training, he won't notice anyone else around.]

(Genessia)

[When morning comes around... Did Takumi even sleep?

The Hoshidan Prince appears fresh enough. Minus evidence of small traces of straw and ash on his person. He's appears to be stopping for lunch at a local cafe in Genessia, just quietly musing to himself.]

The Holodeck that Yang told me about is in Nova City. Though it seems to be much father than anticipated. I don't think I covered half of Genessia yet.

[And his order arrives. A bowl of miso soup! One spoon full later, he stops, noticing someone else.]

Yes? Can I help you?

[It took a moment for them to realize that they were being spoken to sitting at the table next to his. If one could look embarrassed in a mask, 'Marth' achieved it. To be honest, they were staring off into space and seemed to have settled in looking in Takumi's direction.]

Oh um, sorry. I wasn't paying attention.

[...His soup sure did smell good though...]

[Yes, it was the mask that Takumi took noticed of. You stick out like a sore thumb. He sighs.]

You know, people could get the wrong idea if you stare like that.

[Granted if it's possible to really stare with a mask on.]

And what's with the mask?

I wonder what kind of wrong idea they would get.

[They were idle words more than anything, though a grin soon spread across their lips.]

I wear a mask to hide my identity. You may call me Marth if you like.

[It was from people from her world specifically, though there only seemed to be Libra here. They were grateful for his presence ]

[At the introduction, he nods to them.]

"Marth," as in an alias? What if I want to know your true name? Well met, regardless. I'm Takumi.

Perhaps you should read one's body rather than just their eyes. It can tell you a bit more on how they are feeling.

[With saying this, they leaned foreward, angling their body to be facing towards them. It was their way of showing interest, at least in their conversation.]

If you believe it to be a alias, it is a name I go by none the less, Takumi.

[They didn't want to hide, they would rather not honestly, but they had to make sure they were safe and in a good spot so not to disturb anything unintentionally. It was best to keep the guise until then.]

Perhaps I should say, if you do not believe me to hold good faith, what is something that would make you feel more comfortable around me?

[They didn't want to come off as accidentally creepy either...]

[It's kind of hard not to be woken up by the sounds of things being blasted by magic. Liora nearly falls out of her webbing bed in the tree as she jolts awake with a start. What in the world is someone doing blasting magic in the middle of the night? A sneak attack?]

[Cautiously, she begins to crawl along the branches of the trees towards the flashes of light. She tries to be stealthy, but with the branches bobbing from her weight, leaves falling off and drifting to the ground, and plenty of rustling noise where Takumi is practicing, it's pretty easy to notice that something is crawling in the trees. Liora stops when she's close enough to observe, to figure out if this person could be a foe...]

[Another non-sleeper to another, each day Kii would gather enough hate and annoyance from others that they try to practice shape-shifting. Namely in Fayren to practice turning into the monsters there.

Mid-trying to transform, Kii turned to normal and fell against the building near the dummies, hiding in sight from the archer]

[They huff, pretty exhausted] ..You're nearly perfect with that magic bow of your's.

[If that is what they wish to go with, it's better than nothing. He might just make up a name otherwise.

For starters, tell me about yourself.

[Takumi continues his training, only stopping every so often when he hears the rustling. He scans the lowest branches briefly... And sees nothing unusual.]

Must be just an animal.

[Drawing the string and taking aim, he resumes.]

[Takumi is pretty startled. He swings Fujin Yumi to take aim at the encroacher.

However, the wind arrow dissapates as the words he spoke sunk in. Fujin Yumi is then lowered.]

You! Identify yourself.

[Liora continues to watch, leaning forward on the branch she's perched on and stretching her long neck down to get a closer look. However, she leans too far, loses her balance, and slips off the branch, letting out a shriek that sounded more like a little girl than an animal. She picks herself up, shaking off the leaves that cling to her ears and frills.]

Um...uh-oh...

[She stares at Takumi like a deer caught in the headlights...]

[If that was a little girl, it sounded smaller than Sakura. It was easy enough for Takumi to find out what just fell.]

"Uh-oh?"

[He walked over to the creature, squatting down to get a better look in the glow of the torches. He extended a finger to gently poke at it.]

...Did this winged lizard speak just now?

[Liora instantly cringed as she saw that finger coming for her, and she jerked back an inch when it made contact.]

I'm...I'm a dragon! W-Why are you poking at me...?

[Takumi quickly rises. Holy shit it did speak!

Of course, he's not going to answer, because holy shit a talking lizard. If it really is a dragon, though, it must be a hatchling. He's seen Nohrian wyvern riders, and none are as small.

He wants to test to make sure he wasn't going crazy. One awkward silence and pacing later...]

Hey... Say something.

I hail from Ylisse.

[The youth paused, seeming thoughtful for a moment on what all they should divulge.]

My mission is-...was...to stop the Fell Dragon from destroying the world I came from.

[It was then they felt unfortunately boring since they felt they couldn't say too much detail.]

[And thus, tall tales get taller. But then, he did meet a Xander that did not see a Hoshido and Nohr at war.]

Elise? Surely you don't mean there's some village named after Nohr's youngest Princess?

[The names sound alike. Is it obvious yet that Takumi thinks the other is Nohrian?]

[Liora nervously watches as the human paces. He must be pondering how to seal her fate...or something. But she's been here a while, she should know that people here aren't after her.]

[Still, the request throws her off guard regardless.]

What...? What do you want me to say...?

[ Tilting their head to the side in confusion, 'Marth' then shook their head no.]

Ylisse is a country, Ylistol is the capital. I'm not sure where Nohr is or whom this princess is you are speaking of. The Princess of that country was named Lucina.

Ah, I see...

[It would not surprise Takumi not one little bit if the Nohrian were conceited enough to name villages afyer themselves.]

Likewise, Ylisse is not any kingdom I know of... I am of Hoshido.

But can you tell me about this "Fell Dragon?"

I have never heard of Hoshido either, as for the Fell Dragon...

[There is a pensive frown as the masked youth thought over their answer carefully. Fingers weaved together to keep from seeming too anxious.]

They go by the name of Grima and live to bring anialation and ruin to the world. It is said they feed off the souls of the dead as well as the living and can raise hordes of undead called Risen...That same dragon killed my family.

Hmm...

[He makes a mental note to ask Xander about the dragon he mentioned. He wants to see if there's any sort of connection, no matter how little.]

That'll be enough for now. I can, at least, see that you're no enemy. Though, now I suppose I should return the favor?

[Okay, seriously, this is so surreal. A talking freaking lizard. He tucked Fujin Yumi under his arm and seems ready to start packing up.]

That's it. I'm going to bed.

[Talking lizards. It's weird enough to meet an enemy that was never his enemy, but talking lizards is just silly.]

[Well, that just broke her brain as well. She blinks for a moment before she speaks again.]

But...what were you doing out here in the middle of the night?

How about an alliance...Or more preferably, friendship?

['Marth' held out a hand as a friendly gesture, hoping he was willing to shake on it.]

[Kii hacked out and wheezed at the wind, until finally throwing their arms up in the air, shouting]

THE MINUTE THAT I SAY SOMETHING NICE, I GET BLASTED. FUCK!

[Huffing, the Demon rolled off the side of the wall of the building, looking at Takumi, grinning]

Jus' call me Kii, buuuuuuut if you wanna shoot me? Go ahead. You can. I'd much rather not be here ya know~~~ And you, sir...

..Have a great great darkness in you that I like. Just sayin'.
