1. At Michaelis's Tailors & Co. in Everglade

[It's Sabo's first day at his new job, and he kind of has no idea what he's doing. Yes, he should know something, but he's more pretending he does than he would like to admit.

If you enter the shop, you'll probably see him measuring a suit on a mannequin, with a sewing pin in his mouth and a clipboard under his arm. He's studying in possibly the most direct way possible, by examining clothing fixed up by someone far more experienced than he is.]

2. Wandering around Everglade
[Sabo is just wandering around Everglade, taking in the very lush, green ambiance. You may find him having some tea at a table on the patio of a restaurant, or you may just see him walking home from work. He won't state it, but he's kind of bored, as his new job is nothing like what he is used to from his world.]

[don't mind the seven foot tall pirate lurking at a nearby corner, smoking a cigar and smiling in the darkness. Probably best not think too hard where he came from but he doesn't expect to surprise the young revolutionary]

[Kaoru had always wanted to explore Everglade for the most part. Mostly because it sounded rather cool. But while on a walk around just to see what the city has to offer he soon came around the tailors.

Pausing, he honestly hadn't been expecting anything like that to exist in a city like this. So with his curiosity high, he moved to walk in, looking around as he did.]

Hello? Anyone here?

[Unfortunately for Thatch, Sabo os surprised, though not so much so that he exclaims it or anything. He just gasps for a second and then laughs, with a gloved hand against his forehead.]

Yeah, yeah it is. Hm.

[He lowers his hand to his chin and ponders, while he takes a good look at the other man. Is this Thatch? Didn't he die by the hands of Blackbeard? Sabo knew from other discussions in this world that those who have passed away back home could be alive here, but it was still somewhat surprising to see.]

Excuse me, but what is your name?

[Sabo hears the chime of the bell, indicating that a customer has entered the shop. Problem is, he still has the sewing pin in his mouth, so when he turns around to say hello, it flies out in front of him and hits the floor with a sharp ting!]

Hi! Yes, I'm here. How can I help you?

[He rushes to pick up the pin before the customer steps on it.]

[The funny thing about wandering the Everglade is the fact that you never know who you might run into. Where he was walking home from work, Rip was walking to work as she paused as she spotted someone she recognized.]

Guten Tag. It's a nice night for a valk, don't you zhink?

[Kaoru had stopped to look around at least, not getting close to where the pin had landed before finally looking over with a small wave.]

Hi, I'm just looking around. I didn't know that there were tailors in Everglade.

[He puts the clipboard down on a nearby table.]

That's understandable. I had no idea either, but I haven't been here long at all. I'm sure there's a lot for me to discover.

[It takes a moment, but Sabo does recognize her. He gives a slight nod and stops walking.]

Yeah. I'm glad it is! Wouldn't want to deal with rain, since I don't have an umbrella or anything.

Don't tell me you don't have any idea. [he looks amused] Take a guess, sweetheart.

[He laughs. Alright, fine. He can guess, though he's like, mostly sure he's right.]

Thatch, then. That's my guess. So, it is true that those who have died back home can be alive here.

[he pushes himself out of the shadows to come nearer, hands in his pockets]

Aye. Though the one you know isn't here. [he watches him a moment] You missed him. Twice apparently. You seem to be in a habit of doing that.

[Yes, Sabo has heard it already, but he's still not too happy about hearing it again. Especially the twice part. Makes it twice as disappointing.

He frowns for a second and then forces out a laugh.]

So I've heard. I wonder if third time's the charm.

[thatched]

Makes me wonder why there wasn't a time before we came here. [his voice is still pleasant and he still seems relaxed but Sabo might feel a ripple along the edge of his haki]

[Sabo senses the ripple, but just for a brief moment.]

It might be a sign that he'll show up again.

[At least if he did, he'd be alive.]

But we'll just have to see!

[She nodded slightly.]

Even zhen sometimes hafing an umbrella doesn't help. It depends on how hard zhe rain iz und if zhere is any wind.

[She smiled slightly.]

Zhough, it is dangerous valking around here at night for a human. You never know vat monsters might be lurking in zhe dark.

*Faye is also looking for somewhere to relax, and she dumps herself down at a table nearby, reaching immediately for the cigarettes in her pocket. She has a couple left, but nothing to light it with. Faye curses under her breath and then leans towards the man at the table next to hers*

Excuse me, you got a light?

That's true. Good thing I have this hat and goggles for particularly bad weather.

[He ponders the last thing she said.]

Monsters? Like, the fairy tale kind of monsters? I think I could handle anything like that. Hah.

[Sabo is kind of lost in thought when she asks him the question, so it takes a second or two for him to respond.]

Oh, no. No, I don't smoke.

[He could offer to use his powers, but he's trying not to let the entire world know he has them. If she really seems to need it, though, he might.]

Did your lighter run out or something?

[She smirked slightly, highly amused by his confidence.]

Of course, if you can fight zhen at least you stand a chance.

[Well, all of that sounds pretty ... hard to believe, but he's seen a lot of interesting stuff back home, so he should expect whatever here.]

Ah, alright.

Yeah, I can fight. I should be just fine!

*Just her luck. Faye sighs, looking rather crestfallen and leans back in her chair. She pats her pockets, and even her chest for good measure, and shakes her head*

Nah. Guess I dropped it somewhere.

*Faye bends over to look around her on the patio ground. But nopes. Nothing. So another long sigh*

[Which he hasn't realized, but will probably figure out soon enough.]

Well, I've just started working at the Tailor's shop here, and I also live here now. That's it!

[Okay, apparently she really does want to light a cigarette.

He thinks about this for a moment. Should he mention that he can light things with his Devil Fruit power?

Eh, people are bound to find out eventually...]

Well, I can kind of start a flame and light it for you if you'd like.

[He reaches his hand out.]

*Faye looks back over to him, apparently quite pleased by this news. She takes the cigarette from between her lips and leans between the two tables to pass it over to him*
