3rd Bite [Accidental Video]

[Someone's definitely not paying attention to her phone as she sets it down on the grass beside her. It slid part way off of whatever she sat it on to give a strange tilted view of a certain Kelpie scribbling in a notebook only to pause and growl at the paper before ripping out the page and then crumpling it up to toss it to a slightly growing pile.

Needless to say, Li's been at this awhile and looking a little frustrated. At least it's a nice day wherever she is? Though, despite it being a nice day, her clothes were starting to look a little ragged with more snags and tears in the mesh top and rips in the tanktop beneath. Even her jeans seemed to be a bit more torn. Not that she really cared...

Li was more focused on what she was doing and once she got frustrated, she slammed the notebook shut and tossed her pencil with a frustrated growl before leaning back against the tree she was sitting under and then sighing as she closed her eyes. After a few moments... she start's singing. Her voice is quiet and melodic even if it is a little haunting.

Does anyone dare to disturb her?]

[This was one of those that probably wasn't meant to be seen... Best thing to do is warn the poster. But Trunks is at least going to wait for a break, before saying anything. He doesn't want to interrupt the singing, and he also doesn't want to startle her.]

Um--excuse me?

[Polite, and firm, and waiting to be acknowledged.]

[She tenses when she hears a voice come from her phone and glances down at it warily.]

....What do you want.

[Sorry but rude is her normal setting.]

I wanted to let you know you were accidentally broadcasting. It didn't seem like you meant for your device to record or be activated.

[She's glaring but, she's not really glaring at him? Just her phone.]

Well, you're not wrong. The fucking thing has been giving me nothing but trouble since I got here.

...would you like help learning how to have it be less trouble? It's easiest in person to show you, but I also understand if you don't want to just meet a random stranger.

[Meeting random strangers hardly bothered her. Li did that all the time though those strangers rarely walked away once she was done with them. But, then again...She did want to know how to make sure this damned device was less trouble.]

...Fine. I'm in Fayren. In the forest. I'm the only human shaped thing here so I shouldn't be that hard to find.

[A polite nod, that doubles as a little bow of his head.]

I'm not as familiar with Fayren as the other cities, but I can probably find you.

[Cutting the feed then, and preparing to head to Fayren. From how she phrased things, she might not BE human--which should help in finding her via ki sensing. She should register as stronger than a basic animal, and possibly stronger than a basic human depending on what she really was. That'd make things a bit easier for him to track.

Still, he's not as familiar with Fayren, which means taking his sword and his small personal capsule case in a jacket pocket, along with his phone. Just in case.]

[She just nods and settles back against the tree while she's waiting for him to show up. Honestly? She was expecting him to take awhile and figured she'd past the time singing another song or two, just.. reminding her of things she wanted to write down.

As for his way of finding her, well. Li would definitely feel stronger than a human or most of the wildlife around her. Even as a Kelpie cursed to her human form, She was still a magical creature and powerful in her own way. ]

[That is the nice thing about flying--it doesn't take as long to get anywhere, as long as you're careful. Nova City had its challenges because of robots and the high tech allowing hover-vehicles. Genessia didn't have as much of that to worry about and while Fayren had dragons and wildlife... Trunks was used to having to avoid that type of obstacle.

The harder part of finding her was that the Forest covered most of the Fayren territory. Which also meant there were likely lots of wildlife and beings in it, besides her. Even if she was the only 'human' shaped one.

So, he's going to stay above the forest for now, and pull out his phone with the text function activated.]

Any chance you can give me a landmark or two besides you being the only human-shaped thing in the forest? There's a LOT of it, and you're far from the only being in it even if you're the only human-shaped one.

[When she heard the text signal she glanced at her phone and then snorted faintly.]

How about this. Listen for the singing. I'm the only one here that can sing in Gaelic.

[True to her word, Li would be singing and keep doing so until he showed up.]

[There's a smile, as it was certainly pleasant to listen to. A quick response back of Thanks. and then he's concentrating. Both on looking for ki-signatures of base-human level or higher, and listening. Because while he's stayed above the trees for the most part, when he finds a signature or group thereof that seems likely he'll head under the forest canopy for a bit which is slower, but allows him to listen.

It'll still take him longer than he'd like to find her, but hopefully not as long as she was worried about. She was in the range of 'stronger than a human' amidst a cluster of other signatures and levels that were likely the wildlife. So he was walking instead of flying, careful to remain alert, and listen for her singing.

He's not being particularly quiet about moving through the forest, but he's not making a lot of noise either. Once he's in a fairly decent range of her voice, he'll call back.]

I think I'm a couple of meters a way...so you can stop singing if you want?

[It'd be easy enough to home in on her signature-now, and it was interesting that she was the strongest thing in her immediate area.]

[Once she heard his voice, her singing died down as Li got to her feet and stood up beneath the tree. Her phone was momentarily shoved into a pocket and she left her notebook on the ground.

Beyond that, she was cautious as she heard him approach. True she was the strongest thing in her immediate area, but, she was also the angriest thing as well. Li did invite him to her though.. so, she was determined to attempt to 'play nice'. For now anyway.

He would find her standing beneath the tree, watching him carefully and just the way she moved and held herself screamed not human. As if she were used to being bigger than her 5'4 frame and...slightly equine.]

[It was little things yes, besides just how her ki signature read 'stronger than a human'. Not that he necessarily understood what or why, and honestly? It wasn't his business yet.

So instead he made sure he was making noise, and kept his hands where she could see them. A friendly smile, and approaching with caution but not fear.]

[She appreciated the effort. It kept her from wanting to attack him and it gave her time to get a feeling for the new arrival. So far, she could tell he was definitely male.. and the way he moved told her he could fight.

She tilted her head slightly and just watching him for a moment before cautiously taking a step forward. He may or may not be a threat yet, she wasn't.. sure. Whatever he was, she doubted prey. So, hopefully he wasn't foe either.]

Hardly. Besides, I can't drink water if that's what you're thinking to offer. So don't even bother.

[That was interesting, and made him blink in surprise. It's genuine too, no guile.

Then he's shaking his head slightly, before offering a bow--kind of like some other humans had done. Coming back up, and there's still a friendly smile.]

I have things besides water, if that'd help. My name is Trunks. I'm familiar with these phones, and other device, so I'll do what I can to help show you how to make yours less of a nuisance.

[What, hasn't he ever heard of someone avoiding water before? Li had her reasons and they were damn good ones.]

[Oddly, her demeanor just made him chuckle slightly. It reminded him of a few people, and that was more than alright.]

[Any overt guard or caution was gone. Not because they were friends but because he was relaxing at least enough to not be wary. And hopefully because she wasn't wary anymore. Which meant he also didn't feel shy about pulling out his personal capsule case and grabbing one.]

[She accepted his explanation and nodded. Though, she was a little confused on how he could have a mini fridge on him.]

What do you mean mini fridge? those things are still to big to be carried around...

[His warning only made her cautious and put her back on guard for a moment as she tensed up. Li really wasn't sure what to expect with that warning.]

Advanced human technology--it won't hurt you.

[He completely understood the tensing, and so made sure after he clicked the button, to toss the capsule away from them both and to be obvious about it. There's a loud rush of air-and-space being filled, and some smoke, and then a mini-fridge with it's own cooling-coils is in the clearing with them.]

I've had to replace it a few times, but my mother invented this tech so it makes it convenient. Help yourself.

Keep trying. [You have your own personal Wizard cheerleader, Li! What more can you need to succeed?] You won't sing me into the deep if that's what you're trying to do.

[She.. really didn't know what to expect. What she got startled her despite his attempts to make things obvious and had Li backing up in a very defensive position, glaring at the newly released mini-fridge.]

How the fuck was that !? That was more magic than tech.
