Can anyone recommend a place to get a haircut?


[Action 1: The Zoo- closed to Kirika]

[He had promised Kirika a trip to the zoo, and the best place to visit one was the subarchway for Tokyo, Japan. With the area being a familiar place for him, it wouldn't be so awkward for him to go. He really didn't know what girls Kirika's age liked to do, and knowing what she's capable of, Aya also wasn't sure about what she liked to do. In his mind, one couldn't go wrong with seeing cute animals.]

[So here they were, looking at the exotic animals the zoo helped protect and actually care for. Many see them as in cages too small for their breed, but Aya saw it as a way to protect both the animals and humans.]


[Action 2: Kitten in the House flower shop]


[It was an ordinary day for Aya. Sweeping the front of the store, watering a few flower beds, shooing away teenage girls (and a few boys) from loitering, and checking orders. Feel free to pop in and say hello, buy something, or be annoying. Whichever!]

*Then Selphie appears, heading straight for Aya and kissing him on the lips, but quickly so that she doesn't embarrass him in front of the customers. But if his shooing didn't get rid of the teenage girls, that kiss sure helped*

Hi, mister. Ready for a break?

*At which she holds up the picnic basket she is carrying over her arm*

[Kirika had visited Tokyo before, only was only a resident there for a month before her pilgrimage. Still, the city was a stranger to her. First thing she did when they entered the subarchway, she looked around again, trying to get familiar with the vast city once again. It was still summer, and she wore a light blue tang top with a black skirt and her favorite ruby shoes. This time though, she had a small pouch-like purse that resembled an adorable kitten's face. Can anyone guess what her favorite animal was?

Kirika admitted, she wasn't like other teen girls that squeal at first sight. She was still learning to be more social and open. It was hard for her to stand out from where she originally came from, and Aya knew that well himself. Secretly, she was looking forward to this trip.

When they entered the zoo, Kirika stared quietly at the vast animals in front of her with an 'aww'. There wasn't much on her expression, but to Aya who knew her enough, there were delight in her eyes. They had penguins at the front. Penguins, like a center piece monument planted. There was a tower mountain for the creatures to climb up to and a tank underneath and visible to watch them fly underwater. Kirika paced herself closer to the tank. First time she had ever seen these birds who can't fly. They're from the south pole, or north pole right? Why weren't they sweating?]

[If only that were the case. The action seems to have only made them take out their phones to grab a picture, in an attempt to capture Aya's small smile. The kiss was surprising, but he didn't mind it since it was quick. The smile doesn't last as Aya realizes he's being photographed. A frown replaces the smile as he addresses the group.]

Right after we close up for break time. [They don't need them hanging about while they're gone. Plus, it'll give them time to leave through the back.]

[booyaka_boom]

*Selphie turns to look at the group and pulls a few silly faces at them, followed by kissing Aya on the cheek*

Alright, let's get you closed up before these pretty girls charm you away from me.

*She stands in the doorway of the shop, just waiting for this usual silliness to go away so she can have some time alone with him*

[Aya can only raise an eyebrow at Selphie.] Then I'd be arrested. [He can't afford to be in prison for associating with underage girls.]

[After they reluctantly leave, Aya takes off his apron and hangs it up on the wall.] Are you going to tell me where we're having this break, or is it a surprise?

[formerabyssinian]

[It was a good thing they took any pamphlets handed to them at the entrance, because Aya knew very little about most of the animals. He tracked their movements on the map as they walked to different areas, all the while gauging Kirika's reaction to their adventure. Her eyes do give away her enjoyment of their trip, which is a a relief for him. The penguins seem to be of particular interest to her, based on how undivided her attention is.]

There's a penguin parade not too long from now. You can also feed them later. [He shows her the pamphlet with the timetable for the spring and summer.]

[Kirika's eyes glues on the tank part of the penguin exhibit. She watches them dive in amazingly like bullets. When she's not shooting.... or anyone else.

She peers over the pamphlet as well. It's a good thing indeed, cause the only animal Kirika may know more about is the tigers, and that's a little complicated. She looks up to Aya.]

Is it okay? [You know. To go.]

[booyaka_boom]

*Oh, Aya, always so silly. He gets a small slap to the arm for that, but it's followed by an affectionate squeeze*

Arrested, and ditched!

*Selphie looks at her basket and grins before shaking her head*

Nope! It's a magical surprise!

*Actually, they're going to a nearby park where they've probably walked a few times, but at least it's a very pretty one*

I know of someone who is considering opening a place where you can.

But they are still in the thinking stage. Otherwise I have yet to actually go to any place where one can.

Why wouldn't it be? [Aya looked to her curiously for a moment, not understanding her apprehension.] It's for everyone, after all. If you want to swim with them, then you're on your own with that. Tickets don't cover that.

[He's not rich enough to get something that exclusive, anyway. Especially with a wedding approaching.]

It would be more helpful if they were open now. Or if they take private customers, that would help, too.

Couldn't blame you for that. Just don't find someone else too soon. [Aya gives her a playful smirk, sneakily bringing a hand to the basket for a peek. At least he's pretending to be so, but also not. If he was trying, he'd already know its contents.] Is the food a surprise, too?

I can always make you a list since that one isn't open. I've seen a couple others places but unsure if they are actually good or not.

Because while I am good with styling hair, I cannot cut it or I would offer.

Well, I don't have groups of young men hanging around outside waiting for me, so you're in no danger of me finding someone quickly.

*Selphie sticks her tongue out at him, then playfully taps at his hand as it reaches for the basked*

Excuse me, mister! Everything's a surprise with me. You should know that by now. So come on, cause some of the surprises might not taste so good warm.

[carrythesin]

[She shakes her head thoughtfully, smiling.] That's okay. Watching them is fine.

[The girl doesn't even know how to swim, but that's a secret. She walks towards the exhibit and leans on the railing. Some penguins dove in, others slid towards the water, and--- one swallowed a fish whole!]

[Aya nods and watches the penguins as well, wondering how they can even tell each other apart. The silence between them is comfortable; an ideal atmosphere for both. Not much needs to be said for them to communicate, but eventually, once the penguin event is finished, Aya speaks again.]

Have you ever been to a wedding?

[carrythesin]

[After the event is over, Kirika looks back and up to Aya when the question catches her ear. She's been in parties before, but not to enjoy or celebrate. As for weddings... Kirika turns her head and looks away to something else, like the elephants. They're far enough.]

I don't know.

[She speaks honestly.]

[It's a strange response, but he isn't going to question it much. It wouldn't be the first time someone didn't remember something.]

I guess you'll get your chance soon. [The last wedding he attended...was for a mission. It probably won't end well, since he ended up here during it.]

[He has a feeling that Selphie may ask Kirika to be the flower girl...] Can't guarantee it'll be what you see on TV, though.

[formerabyssinian]

Good point. [He selfishly hopes it stays that way. He rubs his hand, faking it being hurt as they walked out the door.]

It doesn't mean I can't try my luck. [As they walk out the door, Aya shutters the shop securely when outside.] I hope it's not ice cream.

[booyaka_boom]

*Selphie smiles as she sees him rubbing his hand. She grabs it and holds it in her own, giving it a small squeeze. Outside, if there are any fans left around, Selphie will make damn sure they know who's boss, pressing herself against Aya's side as they walk*

It's not icecream. But we can do that later, if you like.

*And she'll walk with him hand in hand to their favourite little spot in the park, somewhat secluded and shaded with a large overhanging tree*
