That depends on what you mean by 'trouble.' [ By the tone of his voice, her guess is 'causing trouble by merely existing' but that's her default assumption where hunters are concerned. As for her voice... that's a definite French accent. ]

Evidently, vampires are a welcomed population in this community. This is not the case where I am from.

I'm a hunter, for hire, it is mostly what the vampires have done to my clients.

A special relationship, between yourself and a vampire? That is not unheard of where I am from, yet.. the reception about these creatures I've received has been welcoming of their kind.

That is uncommon, where I am from.

The place I come from, vampires and monsters are territorial threats.

Association is the experience of the audience. Monsters can easily describe any nature of life. You see me as a monster; it is your truth.

Vampires haf every right to exist as everyone else in zhis place. Und depending on feeding habits, zhere are plenty of options offered in zhe Everglade to fit all sorts of special dietary needs. Personally, I favor zhe blood banks for stead supply und zhe occasional hunt.

Tagging an entire demographic as monstrous invites animosity. Some of us had no choice in becoming what we are, and that doesn't just go for vampires. The vagaries of genetics, chance encounters, and the machinations of others are no reasons to paint an entire species with the same brush.
