( it was... a car with character, at least. a black convertible sure, but this was far from the luxury they'd probably gotten used to cruising along in the regalia. this vehicle had definitely seen better days, probably about twenty years ago. it's just about as old as the both of them, but within their budget, at least. )

( not for long though, apparently.... all good things have to come to an end, right? and that seems to be the case when it comes to car engines, too. at least, from noctis' spot on the ground, sitting near one of the rear wheels, it looks to be that way.

there's an exaggerated sigh from where he sits hoping that maybe just a rest will help this old girl out. wouldn't it be lucky if some mechanic or vehicle-inclined person were to be hanging around? hah, yeah right...

oh well. there's a prince hanging around at this gas station, with the international sign of 'i have no idea what i'm doing' in the form of his car's hood being propped up.

( with all that excitement over and things finally winding down... it was finally time to treat himself. no dessert would ever taste like the he had had in tenebrae in his youth, but it would be a big fat lie if noctis claimed not to have been thinking about this big fat piece of cake all day.

he looking like a kid again as his server brings it out, followed by another server, and another... uh oh. his smile wrinkles into a concerned expression as he waves his arms, knocking his communicator over and off the table, as they broke into a boisterous version of HAPPY BIRTHDAY... )
