[Well, Beast has been here for awhile and after talking with Belle....well....maybe he could attempt an effort at meeting the people even if it put him in a bit of a mood, so he starts trying to figure out the device in his hands. How does it work again?]

Hello? Does this device even work? [There is a growl on the other end.] This is ridiculous! How could such a thing even work or be possible without magic?

[The line goes dead after this because Beast got annoyed with it already.]

Uh....Belle? Might I request that you please join me for dinner? If you are interested and want to of course. I thought....it'd be nice.

Hello? Are you still there? I wanted to tell you I could hear you loud and clear.

Can you? [Excuse the growl. He's just frustrated at the moment, though it only stops after a moment and he seems more surprised.]

Absolutely. I was a little confused about these phones at first too.

[ She let out a soft laugh. ]

[Be polite.] Is that so? Then it's good that I am not the only one. Though they still make no sense. How do they even work?

My only guess would be a bit of futuristic technology.

It's technology you dumbass. Even I know that and I don't like messing with human things.

So it seems. Not technology I understand however.

[And that got a growl out of Beast. A loud one. Whoever she was dealing with on the other end had a temper and obviously wasn't human.]

I am aware it is some kind of advancement, but I still do not understand it! If you don't like using such human devices, why do you use it now?!

[Well he's not the only one that's not human in this conversation. She growls right back at whoever is on the other side of her device.]

It's a fucking phone. It's not hard and someone showed me the parts I didn't understand. I asked for help, dumbass.

If you think of it as magic it might make more sense.

[That growl only gets more intense. She's doing a good job of pissing him off.]

Magic makes far more sense then this.

[He's just about growling the words.]

[She does that. ]

[He's almost yelling now but he'd playing with the phone, trying to figure out how to switch to video. Might take him a bit.]

[Just to be smug, she turns on her own video. Beast can stare at a rather annoyed woman with beach blonde hair, stormy grey eyes and slightly tanned skin. However, even through video it's not hard to realize there was something pretty inhuman about her despite her appearance.]

Just try me, Asshole. You're not that scary.

[It takes awhile, but Beast finally manages to turn on video and dares to roar at her. To most, he would in fact be frightening. Especially to humans.]

Watch your tongue!

[Except she's not human and doesn't look the slightest bit impressed by that roar. Sorry, but he's dealing with a real predator now. ]

Was that supposed to be impressive? You're all bark and not bite.

[He seems to almost pause at her reaction, though he's still a little growly.]

[Seriously. Why would she be afraid.]

[He would have calmed down a little or just confused, but as soon as she said that last part he roared again.]

[Again, Li's hardly impressed and growls right back at him, baring her own teeth at him in annoyance before tossing her head.]

I'll say whatever the hell I like, you have no control over me. So fucking deal with it.

[Never one for meeting people by voice only if he has a chance, the Doctor answers by video, peering curiously into his phone's camera.]

Ah, hello, new arrival, I presume.

[He raises his eyebrows and smiles sort of whimsically. ...maybe with a bit of an eyeroll.]

Magic? Definitely magic, 'course, magic just means "I don't know how it works," so it doesn't tell you much, it's actually just impossibly small sort-of particles floating about in a complex maze of rapidly changing energy fields, but call it magic, if y'like.

See? Just as ridiculous as before you knew how it worked--if I've learned anything about the Universe, knowing how things work doesn't make them any less ridiculous.

Anyway, hello, I'm the Doctor, and you are..?

[He goes back to a growl.]

So you think you can speak to me in such a way?!

[What? He's just as confused as before that was all said as opposed to after, but doesn't really know what to say for the moment other then answer the question.]

A Beast.

[Nothing more.]

[Still unimpressed.]

Yes.

Like I said, you don't control me and you're hardly that impressive of a predator to make someone like me submit so, like I said. Deal with it.
