[Up to this point, Bakugou hadn't given the kiss much thought. It was just another challenge to conquer. But now that it's actually happening, he feels a rush of adrenaline hit him out of nowhere. He dives in, like he always does.
Her lips are soft and he's overcome with a weird sense of warmth that can't be classified into his normal, constant rage. He's always had trouble expressing and identifying emotions other than anger and wanting to win. It's nice but he thinks that if it had been someone else doing this with him, he would just be pissed off. He lingers there longer than necessary, ignoring the awed gasps from the audience. Fuck, they're annoying.
He doesn't have to clasp a lock of her hair, but he still does. Her breath is warm against him and he hears weird...it can only be described as soft chimes. Is that tinnitus or did the sound effects crew decide to do something new without discussing it with them? He finally breaks the kiss and opens his eyes. He must be going crazy because he's imagining shapes. Wispy shapes that float around, picking up speed and volume as they brighten, circling around them in a whirlwind. Bakugou gasps, because it hurts his eyes, but other than that the first thing he sees
It's fire.
The golden fireflies finally burst into fireworks, and Bakugou freezes in place, staring at Orihime as things start to come into focus. Even though it hurts, he stares at her, tears spilling from his eyes. The audience probably just thinks he's a very good actor, from the way he chokes on his words.]
Your hair...
It's beautiful. [He breaks down, screaming in raw emotions and yanks her up into his arms.]
