I propose that we use the non-pendent bearers as a food source.
[This, and other unhelpful suggestions, courtesy of the strange demon girl on your screen.
She seems quite unapologetic about her suggestion. Heck, it's hard to read any emotions on her.]
Their lives are limited strictly to this world, and therefore have no value in the grand scheme of things. It will be easy to eliminate any trace of their existence. If any of their non-pendent bearing friends miss them, I will eat their memories. There will be no reason for sadness. Only rejoicing, as this will solve the issue of eating in Everglade.
[She begins clapping dryly to celebrate this leap of ?logic?]

[She's not complaining. If any thing she almost sounds proud.]
Though you realise that won't solve all of the issues in Everglade, right?
no subject
[Her blank staring doesn't actually hold much emotion... But Memo is a confused demon.]
Is does not?
Do I still obtain an E for Effort?
no subject
[Apart from it turning into a duller than current place.]
Then again, I'm sure a massacre of the NPCs would do the job for a little while.
no subject
How is Everglade scary? Is a massacre scary? Is fear difficult to replicate?
...I don't think that's such a good idea. A lot of people don't eat humans...
[Maybe some creatures do in Everglade, but NOT HER.]
no subject
But for those who do. It is a wonderful plan, yes? You should all rejoice, for Memo has solved the problem.
no subject
Wh...what problem? I'm sure those who eat humans are already doing so, and...
[And...what? Liora's poor little mind goes blank here...]
no subject
Therefore, to eliminate the sadness... Let's eat the ones no one cares about.
no subject
But...I'm sure there's always someone who cares about...
Um...humans aren't like animals. They're too...intelligent. And they talk. Why can't they just eat animals? I'm sure animals have better meat anyway...
[Not that she would know, since she doesn't eat meat...]
no subject
[But then, she's human. And her fears had been rather specific.]
But I guess death isn't all that scary to you if you don't understand why Everglade isn't everyone's kind of place.
[Voice]
Satori would know, she's already tried that, long ago. A small, weary sigh.
"While I'm not from Everglade, I can see a logical fallacy in your argument. If, by Genessia's circuitous logic, they aren't as much 'people' as we with pendants, how can you expect such a plan to work? I'm sure many who don't share such sensibilities would find it abhorrent, if not some sort of bizarre crime. But if Everglade runs on fear, perhaps another route could be found."
She adds, helpfully as only Satori can...
"If you'd like to discuss these things further, give me a call. Are you fond of tea and a well-fermented secret?"
Woah.
Listen. I appreciate you growing up and wanting to kill, that's great really. But uh..I think you're being too ambitious...and waaaaayyyy to conscientious of others.
video;
Would that have meant we were meaningless at home because of it?
video;
Plus they are beneath us anyway, you need to remember that.
[Because someone creates very great synthetic food; including human]

But Memo is not.

Or if you taste really good. You might be in trouble then.

Memo is only trying to help.
no subject
[The nutrient thing might make for a good argument, but...]
I know you're trying to help, but I don't think this idea will work. Everglade's Guardian already has a system to keep everyone fed, so...I don't think it needs to change...
no subject
You know, make them suffer, make them beg for death before just..
killing them? That's way too easy. You've got to take things slower.
[Fun facts from Kii]
no subject
[Not that everyone even listens but still.]
But I guess that depends on why you don't feel it in the first place.
no subject
I don't think that is really true. We all have a purpose. It's just a case of finding it.

You're not very bright, are you? You must starve a lot.

I may need to research the matter further.

What is a Guardian??
[She ends up repeating the question as it actually shocks her.]
The Guardian is the person elected to take charge of protecting the city, and ensuring everyone's well-being. And they try to accommodate everyone as well as they can. It's tougher in Everglade, where some creatures actually feed on humans, but the Guardian has worked out some kind of system...
no subject
[Maybe, to someone who gets bored as easily as Junko does.]
But I mean. With the technoskills of Nova and the magic of Fayren, surely someone somewhere would have a way to let you feel any emotion you want. That's gotta be worth looking into, right?
[And she is not at all asking for her own reasons...]
no subject
But just because things don't necessarily stop if people die, still doesn't mean they are insignificant. All lives have a purpose no matter if they are human or not.
no subject
See, I feed on suffering, hate, and anguish. That makes me creative too! Plus you'll get a lot more fun out of it.
