Ches has his moments of being considerate. Even though cats are stereotypically pictured as selfish creatures, and quite rightly so in a lot of cases, hygiene is very important to felines and this extends to keeping other people clean if possible.

There's a brief flicker of hesitation towards being carried off when he realises there are still smashed eggs, open bags of sugar and flour, and multiple bowls left strewn across the kitchen counter. But then he remembers the TARDIS somehow keeps itself clean, and relaxes fully into the petting.
