Funny. Very funny. Ha ha ha.

*Only, she looks far from amused. Is she wearing...a pink sock?*

Can I go back to normal now? What's the trick, huh?

*Behind her, something glitters and twitches, shedding a dusting of gold shimmer around her*

Once Faye has acquired some clothing - a couple of cute outfits from some of Gale's model collection - she is ready to explore. Being Barbie-sized isn't great fun, it turns out, but she does like being able to fly. It takes some time to get any distance, but over the days of the curse, she will be zipping around Nova, seeking out the gardens, and spending a lot of time in Genessia Park among the flowers. Flying is fun, and so is spying on others. Annoyingly, however, she also seems to have gained a cute little giggle along with her fairy body.

What happened?

[He may be looking a little...greener than normal.]

Look at me!

*Faye moves back until everything from her knee upwards is on the screen and does a sad little twirl to show off her glittery wings. She's pretty adorable, but she's unimpressed*

I'm tiny! A regular Tinkerbell! A freaking Barbie doll!

*Then she comes back, bending over to peer at him more closely*

...what happened to you?

Ooh. Huh. That does seem...tricky to deal with.

[He runs his fingers through his hair awkwardly at the question, which only seems to highlight: he looks dirtier than normal.]

I'm gonna be real honest -- I'm not sure what I am or what it's called. But I can control dirt and rocks, which has been pretty interesting.

[As if to illustrate, he holds out his hand and lets a small stream of pebbles float up from his hand.]

[He's trying hard not to laugh. Don't laugh. Don't laugh.]

Gotta love this time of year in Genessia, eh?

[Says the man with curled horns and blackish wings. He seems pretty comfortable with himself. Minus the fact the back of his shirt is tattered, but at least his coat was off at the time so it was spared.]

You, uh. Need some help there?

*She sits back down and shrugs. There's a faint glittering at every movement she makes. Faye tilts her head at how dirty he seems, but her eyes brighten up when she watches the pebble float, like literally brightening*

So you're...some kind of...dirt fairy? You got wings too?

*She's looking, but she isn't seeing any*

*Hmph. Faye stubbornly crosses her arms. Of course Gale looks happy and has things the way he likes - he's always this lucky...

But she definitely needs help, so the arms uncross and she nods, glitter shimmering around her as she does so*

I'll take that as a yes.

[It's probably mean to be amused, but he gets such a kick out of this time of year. He can't help it.]

I gotta change anyway, so I'll be right there.

[And right there he is, a short time later! With his coat folded over his arm. He just needs to locate the tiny Faye in a sock. Or at least he assumes she's tiny, judging by the sock.]

Yo! Where you at, doll?

*Faye gets up from where she is slumped against her pillow and glides across the bed towards him, trailing glitter. She's about the same size as his hand, all blushing at the state she is in*

Look at you. Mr Devil Horns. And I get stuck as...this...

*He often calls her 'doll' but right now she really feels like one and it's embarrassing*

[Oh wow, she is tiny. Maybe now he feels a little bad about snickering to himself on the way here.]

Don't ya fret too much now. Knowin' this place, it'll be a few days and poof! Back to normal. Assume a week.

[You know, to give her time to take cover somewhere when she turns back to normal. He stares at her and ponders, putting a hand to his chin as he sizes her up. He can't let her go around hiding in a sock, that'd just be mean. So he thinks... and then slaps his fist in his palm.]

Ah, got it! Got an idea for ya. Sit tight.

[He hurries off to his room, and after some shuffling around (and a loud 'thud of something hitting the floor, followed by a "VERDAMMT!", he comes back out carrying a couple figures and ball joint dolls that he figured were around the same height as Faye. And being the kind of guy he is, they've all got some fancy high quality outfits on them.]

I think these might work for ya if you want somethin' temporary. I can't let you go around stuck in a sock like that. I got a couple more in my room if none of these suit your fancy.

*By the time he comes back, Faye is hovering above the bed, trying to get used to her wings. She sinks back down on the bed when he returns with the models and reaches out to touch the material*

You sure these'll fit?

*She pokes at the chest of the nodel in particular. It will probably fit, but snugly*

Could you...make slits for my wings? I'd rather not look like a slutty cheerleader for a week, or whatever that is...

[He looks at the one she pointed at and pondered again. He's not sure what he can do about the bust, although a cut in the back might help make the fabric fit her more comfortably.]

Yeah, I can do that, just choose what ya want. I got outfits for days for these things. There might be somethin' that fits better.

[He sits the ones he brought out on the bed and darts out again. This time it takes a little longer for him to come back, but this time he's got a little box of all sorts of outfits that would fit the dolls.

... yeah, there are a few questionable ones in there, but he wasn't gonna dig them all out. There are far more acceptable outfits than those.]

I took a gander at the weather, and some of these should be fine. I can get coats later tonight.

[The local toy shops probably see him around a lot as it is. They make bank off him.]

*Faye sits down and begins to sift through the various outfits that Gale has brought for her. She pulls out a few dresses that are not her usual style, but that will probably be quite cute. She pauses as she pulls out a crop top with a mini skirt*

Gale... Why do you have these? Is your room full of creepy dolls?

*She blinks up at him, a bemused look on her face and, out of nowhere, a cute tinkly giggle*

[Shit, that was adorable. How is his fairy roommate so cute?!]

Define "creepy."

[He chuckled and shook his head.]

I've got way more outfits than I do dolls. I've got like. Three, tops.

[He has no shame. Dolls are just bigger, more expensive toys. Besides, they look great alongside his magical boy figure set. And the other figures he has. At least his Guardian collection was at the Skyrise.]

And should I consider asking Vulpix if she'd be willing to be your mount for a week?

I dunno, sweetie. Creepy is always different when it comes to you.

*Said affectionately, of course. She points to the small pile of clothing next to her, all different styles*

Okay. These are the best. Wanna pick an outfit for me to change into now?

*Then a thought occurs to her and she seems to glow a soft pink colour*

These dolls...they don't happen to come with underwear, do they?

*As for the Vulpix comment, Faye just gives him a look*

I'm not running around on a Pokemon for a week.

[ Mayu has black bear ears.]

It's Genessia being weird again. We usually wait until we turn back to normal. It could take a week or two.

I was a werebear last year.
[ He shows a picture of a Japanese black bear holding a sign that said "I'M MAYU NOZAKI". He thinks bear form was the best.]

A fairy, the year before.

Flying is tiring. It might be best to get people to carry you.

[ Cloud is not feeling quite himself. He’s been held up in his room all day until dusk sets and he finds himself starving and needing to get out and find something.. because nothing in his apartment is doing it for him, nothing is tasting right, nothing is .. staying down. He’s pale, more than usual, there’s a cold sweat on his brow, and he has fangs that peak out from his lips.

Once the sun is down, Cloud leaves the Commonspace and begins his hunt through Genessia to find something that might help.

There’s something that catches his interest out of the corner of his eye and he lifts his head to see a small… flying creature that sparkles with a rather comforting light. Rather than the dreadful sunlight and florescent light around him.

Cloud stumbles forward, he pulls the blanket over his shoulders tighter and he moves for it. Looking incredibly disheveled and .. a mess. ]

*Sensing the movement behind her, Faye turns swiftly to discover what danger was coming for her. This is not the squeaky clean bright eyed boy she remembers from their last meeting. Faye flutters slowly closer to him, a small frown on her litte fairy forehead*

...Cloud? You okay?

*Then she floats closer still until she is between his eyes, just a doll's arm stretch away. She searches his face until she recognises the fangs protruding from his mouth*

Is this...a curse thing? Or did someone really get you?

*She knows there are real, everyday vampires around, of course*

I don’t know… what you’re talking about.

[ This was Faye, wasn’t it? Was this some sort of .. alternative form of hers? He struggled to understand what she was asking of him. ]

No… one got me.. [ Whatever that meant.. ]

*Okay, so he wasn't a vampire for life. That was good to know. She flits back a little so that she can get a proper look at him, and makes a decision as for what to do next*

You know... My wings are really tired from all this flying. Could you carry me somewhere?

[ Cloud nods, he holds his hand up and waits for her to settle in his palm before he looks forward again. ] You.. said … something about a curse? [ He swallowed, his throat felt so dry.. He had tried some coffee and crackers but it did not settle very well with him at all. ]

I don’t feel well, I feel like.. [ Honestly, eating an incredibly raw steak. ]

*Faye settles down into his palm and begins to direct him through the streets* Some call it a curse. I know I do. Looks like you would too. Some people are having the time of their lives.

*She turns to look up at him as they go* Don't worry. Where I'm taking you you will be just fine. *Because she is giving him the directions toward a butcher shop, though she isn't sure if it will still be open when they get there*

[ He huffs softly, his hand’s a bit shaky, but he does his very best to hold it still. He doesn’t want to hurt her, drop her, or discomfort her. Her body is so small, weightless even. He could probably appreciate her more this way if he weren’t feeling so off but.. damn, he is. He doesn’t know what his body wants. ]

Guess, I’ll owe you a drink this time.

And this year...you're part bear instead?

*She blinks up at his little bear ears*

That would be nice, having someone looking after me all day. I'm so sweet and delicate like this, after all.

*Faye holds onto one of his fingers as his hand shakes. Thankfully the butcher shop was nearby. She giggles sweetly at his comment, a fairy thing, sparkling as she looks up at him again*

Like this, I'd just need a drop.

*As they approach the butcher's, Faye can see that they are too late, it's already closed. She lifts one tiny hand and points*

I need to find a way of getting in.

That’s why I offered. [ Ah, there it is, the very rare sense of humor he has at times. More of a dorky sense rather than entirely clever or witty, some might describe. Cloud looks over the shop and he frowns. ]

It’s closed. Can’t.. get in.

[ He turns his back to the shop. ] We’ll find some place else.
