[Somebody is in a much better mood then usual. The man who was normally a Beast was surprised to find himself human last night. At first he thought it had been a trick of his mind or a dream, but it wasn't. Was his curse over? But how? What had happened? He knew he loved Belle, but she hadn't shown any sign of loving him in return and that had been the only way to break the curse set upon him. So how was it that he was human right now?

Still, the video comes on to a smiling human man. A handsome prince.]

I know not if this is another cruel trick of a sorceress or another, but.....I'm human. It's so strange to be human again, but hello to everyone.

[Private to Belle]

Belle, it's me. Would you do me the honor of another dinner? [The man is smiling on the other end at her. No part of him resembled the Beast he had been. With the exception of the blue eyes that looked out from the video.]

[ His accent causes her some difficulty, but she's not going to fault him for that. There's really no reason to. Instead, she picks up her whiteboard, writing a message as neatly as she can. ]

What were you before?

A frightening Beast.

[He was laughing so it was hard to say if he was joking or not, though he most certainly wasn't. At least he can joke.]

[ Still writing. And smiling just a bit. She's enjoying his mirth, at least. ]

Really?

Really. A big scary one. with teeth and claws.

[Now that one is more complicated and he seems to hesitate for a moment before answering.]

A Beast isn't supposed to be nice.

[Again whether he's being honest or not is hard to say. He's basically stating what's normal for a Beast though.]

[She's laying atop her rock again, enjoying the sun and flipping through the network when she notices him. She must have gotten used to her new tail, because she certainly seems her confident self... if a little more flippant than usual.]

Let me guess, you're a prince, too?

[Blame it on the flippers, handsome.]

[He frowns, not so keen on her flippant attitude, but he answers politely enough.]

As a matter of fact. I am.

[She laughs.]

I think half the men in Genessia are.

[She tilts her head, toning it back a bit.] 'Human again', hm? What were you before?

A Beast.

A beast? That could be a lot of things...What kind of beast?

The frightening kind of Beast.

[He makes a growling sound with a laugh.]

[His laugh seems to be infectious, because she just smiles brighter, despite the brow raise at the growl.]

I've met quite a few of those in my day... and half of them were human enough. Werewolf? Demon? Vampire?

That's a secret.

[Oh! Well then. She looks off from the camera in mock offense, then rolls her eyes back to him in her best model's pout.]

Well that's no fun.

Not everything is meant to be fun unfortunately.

[That one gets a deep sigh and a nod.]

Things would get rather boring, I would think, if that were actually the case.

[It's not a fun life to live.]

So you've been cursed before, then?

I have been.

[Possibly still was. Somehow he felt this was a cruel trick on him, but he planned to enjoy it while it lasted.]

And why was that?

[ The hesitation makes her think she asked an uncomfortable question, so she almost writes an apology, but he answers it anyway. She can see his reasoning. The beasts or creatures or whatever they were on her world were terrible and unkind. But she doubts they were ever human. This guy, however. She's not too sure just yet what to think, so she nods slightly at his answer, accepting it for what it is, and writes on her whiteboard again. ]

My name is Regan. I'm deaf and don't speak, so I use the board. What's your name?

Ah, yeah, sorry 'bout that, welcome to Genessia, this sort of thing happens, I'm afraid, but don't worry, I'm sure it'll wear off in a few days.

[Yeah, the way he said it, the Doctor's just assuming he's a monster or an alien that got turned into a human and is trying to put on a brave face. ...or just doesn't know how to handle human expressions.]

I'd suggest you try and make the best of it, though, not so bad, humans, well... can be, but they're not really so bad once you get to know them, I promise. Let me know if you need any help blending in, though, I've got a little experience.

[...although there are those who'd question how well he blends in, but...]

[Oh Doctor. If only you knew. You've seen disney and know the stories. Put the clues together.]

I was cursed the other way around. I'm originally human, not a Beast.

[He hesitates for only a moment. It's been so long since he's said or heard his name that he has to actually think on it. Most just called him Master or Young Master, but his name....no. Still, he was a different person now. He wasn't a Beast for this moment, but human again. The form he wanted to be, and so after that moment, he answers.]

It's nice to meet you, Regan. My name is Adam.

It doesn't matter. I was a different person back then.

Ah, fair enough. I understand that all too well. [She won't push him for details. She knows from her own experience that it's sometimes best to let things be.]

Still, to be cursed twice. Are you getting used to it now?

To me this isn't a curse but a gift. To be human and no longer a Beast.

[He knew now that it wasn't what was on the outside but the inside that made the difference, but that didn't mean he wanted to be a Beast for the rest of his life either.]

[She blinks and stares at the screen. It takes a moment or two for her to meet his eyes and see the familiar soft blue she'd seen in the beast who she'd had dinner with a few weeks before.]

Beast!?

[Belle gasps and nearly drops the phone.]

You're a man? [Her lips break into a smile and she quickly nods.] Of course I will but what happened? [And why is he so cute?]

I don't know, but...this is me, Belle. This is who I'm supposed to be.

[She's staring and thinking... or trying to think. He's making this very difficult.]

Oh, so the castle really was cursed. [She pauses, chewing at her lower lip.] Was it lifted? Here I mean.

I....don't honestly know under the circumstances. For all of my certainty, this could be another cruel trick.

[Her lips shape into a warm smile.]

Well, for your sake I hope it isn't.

[She paused before continuing.]

You mentioned dinner? What did you want to do?

One of the restaurants or cafes? Anywhere you want to go, Belle. Absolutely anywhere.

[He wants to take advantage of the fact that he's not a hulking, scary, beast for once. He knows she liked the picnic but....he wanted to take her somewhere that he could only go as a human.]

There is a cute cat themed cafe in Genessia. I haven't gone there yet but they have very cute little cakes.

[It'd be a fun place to go.]

[Cat themed? Well, if that was where she wanted to go...]

Then we'll go. You and I. We can try the cakes together.

[ She's going to finger-spell his name for him, very carefully. A-D-A-M and then point at him. That's his name in her language. Part of her hopes he's picking up on it and that he doesn't think she's just being silly and waving her hands around to be silly. Just in case, she's going to clarify what she did. ]

That's how your name is spelled in Sign Language. I did it so I could remember. Kind of like repeating someone's name when you meet them for the first time. And it's nice to meet you, too.

Alright.

[It's a very cute place.]

Should we meet there this afternoon?

This afternoon is perfect. If you would permit me, I would very much like to pick you up from your home.

I see. I will keep that in mind.

[Her cheeks warm but Belle nods.]

Yes. That's alright. Do you know where I live?

How wonderful for you! Glad you've found manhood again. Alas, I've become pretty beastly myself.

Ahah, and is your name really "Adam"? As in, the first man? How primal and significant!

Please, go under the Mercy and enjoy it all you can. Oh, and have you any advice for how to be, er, not so beastly as one's tempted?

[She smiles, but there's a sadness she can't hide in her eyes. She doesn't have the heart to tell him it's temporary.]

Oh, I'm sure. Do you have any big plans, now that you're human again?

[He seems almost nervous for a moment as he answers that question.]

Do not think it rude of me, but I do. I checked in on you on occasion to make sure you were well.

[Belle tries not to blush.]

Oh. Um... thank you for worrying about me.

Then I'll see you soon.

Ohhh, it's you, right, well... 'spose you've got that down, then, good, glad to hear it.

You're welcome, Belle.

[He was honestly just glad she wasn't upset with him for it.]

Are you at home? I can meet you there and we can go to the cafe together?

I am.

[She nods her head, a light smile curving her lips.]

I'd like that. [A beat.] I'll see you soon?
