[Hey it's that young woman from back in October, she's looking a bit less pale compared to her last broadcast, and judging by what can be seen of the background of where she's at?
She's currently in some public space. The Genessia Library, perhaps, or maybe some place in Everglade. Either way she's not living la vida hobo.]
I honestly don't see the appeal in elections, especially when it comes to a place where we're all here against our will.
[But no use dwelling on that, she'll just not vote, as she gives a little shrug.]
Different topic, since I've never had anything about politics end well for me. Tell me about weird things from your home worlds? Or, ah, I don't know. A story, tell me a story. I'm bored.
[At least she's upfront about it???]

Weird things, eh...well, on Earth, a man once lifted thirteen pounds with naught but the vacuum of his palm.
[Ripley's Believe It or Not is wonderful.]

And I've read world records books.

I thought they'd sent you home or something.

I'm very good at keeping to myself, boy.

Which is the story you're going to get.
My world is divided into four oceans by the Red Line: a strip of land that circles the globe, and the Grand Line which crosses it, barriered by the Calm Belts: Ocean with no currents and thus breeding spots for seakings: giant ship eating sea monsters.
No one had ever reached the end of the Grand Line. Whatever ocean you're in, the only real way in for pirates or civilians is through Reverse Mountain -- where the currents of the four oceans meet, and flow up an obscenely high mountain, and then down into the Grand Line.
But that just made more people want to try.
The Grand Line has two halves. Paradise and the New World, but collectively they're known as the pirate's graveyard. Nothing about either half is anything short of treacherous. Every island defies logic. Whatever you think you once knew about the world and universe is turned on its head. There are places of perpetual night, and permanent daylight. There are islands that rain lightning, and islands that are traps for carnivorous plants that grow their own food meant to fatten up all who land and get trapped.
One man's crew finally made it to the end. To the legendary final stop: Raftel. And in so doing he became the Pirate King. The ultimate. The only one who did the impossible first.
So the World Government took him back to his town of birth: LogueTown, last stop for the East Blue right before Reverse Mountain. And his execution was the event of the century.
But he turned everything on its head, just like the Grand Line does to everyone else. Someone in the crowd asked where all his treasure was. And Roger just laughed. "Everything I own, I left in One Piece." And suddenly the race was on. Out of the era of sea the world went, and into the age of pirates. Hundreds of thousands and million of pirates all over the world, all trying to kill and best each other in order to be the one to get their hands on One Piece, which many said doesn't even exist, it's just a practical joke Roger played on the world. And even if it's real, no one knows what it is. But still they kill each other every day for just the dream of it, foolish though it may be.

Also do you have any interesting stories to tell, or are we both going to waste time?
Re: [video]
It sounds more like this fellow got the last laugh on everyone in the end. I wonder if the whole thing could have been avoided if the government didn't kill him?

Re: [video]
[Smoker has to think about that for a little bit.] No, I don't think so. He could have used his accumulated power and status, or even One Piece, without the government giving him a platform. He was the Pirate King for a reason. The government overreached with his execution, and tried to make up for it when they did something similar with his bloodline, they wanted to show their own power and played into his hand, but leaving him alive would almost certainly have been more dangerous.

Re: [video]
[Gaiana actually finds Smoker's tale interesting, even if her words seem to be the opposite.]
Well he's dead so knowing what would happen if he lived is a moot point, sir.

Unless, perhaps you're interested in the strange happenings earlier this year? Have you been in Genessia for very long?

Re: [video]
For Roger, he already had accumulated all the power.
They were only scared of what Portgas could be. It wasn't justice.
