[Since she had arrived Totori had been focused on seeing if her alchemy could work in this world, what she could learn and what ingredients she could use. Pretty much a case of seeing if it can even work.

Today she was going to try and mixing things together for the first time to prove a point. She had a small cauldron currently as she couldn't fit her usual size so she hoped that wouldn't matter and she had the ingredients she was planning on using to make something simple. Supplements, which she knows is useful to make a good number of things.

So putting the ingredients in she started to stir, but it wasn't long before she was looking nervously in.]

That... doesn't look right.

[It starts to shimmer slightly as she slowly starts to look nervous and it's not long before it starts to bubble and suddenly a loud boom and a scream from Totori.]

Ah-! [When the smokes starts to settle they find her coughing and waving her hand in front of her face, around her there was a mess everywhere from what was in the cauldron.] I guess this is a work in progress here, but I had really been hoping that it was going to work.

Action; Snow Event
[She held her staff firmly. There appeared to be snow monsters now. Okay, that was not something she had been expecting or... really knew how to handle. It was not something she had come across, though for her the most she had come across was birds and squirrel rabbit type things as well as puni's. All rather simple things. So when she was face to face with this she was unsure of what to do.

Slowly she took a step back, nervously looking around. She was hoping there was someone around as she moved to move out of the way as it swung.]

Her hope bears fruit as Roland runs up, a sword appearing in his hand with a flash of light. When it swings again, he brings it up to block, the force of the blow knocking him back but not off his feet.

"Get away from it! I'll take care of it!" He spares her a glance before reverting all his focus to the snow monster in front of him; he's sure that's what she was already doing, but you can never be too careful.

[Luckily there's a 6'8" block of muscle and justice (emblazoned in kanji on his back) that moves to block and protect her.]

You all right there?

Heebie Geebie! Are you okay, miss?! That was a loud mistake!

[Someone else can't handle giant snow monsters: Shi Yamato. Isn't stopping him from trying, though. His curse powers aren't something he wants to inflict on anyone, even a snow monster, but he does have some skill in fencing. So when he rushes in to help Totori, Yoshiya's strategy is to first yell:]

Please, look out! [Both to the snow monster, and Totori, before he slices it's leg.

It's forced to fall over, but Yoshiya doesn't have the heart to actually destroy it. In fact, he's looking between Totori and the snow monster with equal concern as he puts the sword away.]

Are you okay? Not hurt? Sorry, that was rude of me!

Totori looked over slightly a little relieved to see someone who would be of more use. She herself figured she could have if she had managed to create certain items. But all she had it's a staff.

"T-Thank you, but I can help handle it if I'm in a group. Just not on my own without certain items." Which was what the problem was really.

[She nodded slightly.]

yes. I am just not good at one on ones and just better with teams... Which here I don't have.

I-I'm fine, this is normal. Really. But that was a waste of ingredients.

[She quickly moved to step back, the theme of people going between her and the monsters seemed to be a running theme for her, even when dealing with monsters back home Gino would usually block for her.

But she watched quietly before looking over.]

I-I'm fine and I don't think it was rude. I'm not a fighter without items after all.

I took off its leg, though!

[He is more worried about that, honestly.

As he worries, Yoshiya reaches for one of the gold and silver stones that he has attached to his belt. To complete the Pokemon Trainer imagry, a Gastly and Duskull swoop down from some trees. The two Ghost-type Pokemon go straight towards the snow monsters, pranking them with peekaboo games.

It gives Yoshiya a chance to focus on Totori.]

It's dangerous to be out here alone. Are you going somewhere in particular?

Yeah... I guess it kinda was, huh?

Were you... cooking? [Silicon has heard of bad cooking (looking at you, Comyn,) but explosive cooking?]

It just means I need to figure out this worlds ingredients since they are vastly different to what I am used to. So I should really expect more failures like this.

Ah, no I wasn't cooking. I was practising my alchemy.

[She couldn't run away, not when maybe she could be doing something to be useful, but all she had was her staff any items she had been trying to make to help has so far exploded in her face and ended up as failures.

But she found herself scared of the ghost pokemon when they appeared gripping her staff and jumping back, nearly raising it until she noticed they were going for the monster rather than just in general.

She had little to no clue what was going on.]

Ah, I was planning on gathering items for something.

Right now?

[This seems like a dangerous time to be gathering items alone... But who is he to judge? He just took something's leg off, so he's in no position to judge anyone.

He throws one of the stones to capture the spirit for now. His own spirit friends look upset when they lose their prank victim.]

Do you need someone to accompany you, miss?

Yes. I mean I need to gather from time to time and currently, I need to now even if the situation isn't the best.

[She fidgets with her staff if only twirling it. Seems like things were okay for the time being.]

I wouldn't want to be a bother if you were planning on heading off anywhere.
