18th Light [Video and Action]

[When the feed begins, Liora looks somewhat nervous.]

Hello...I was wondering...do humans celebrate...when they were born? My hatchday is coming up soon, and I think I want to do something. Except...I don't know what to do...

[She trails off for a moment before a dark shadow falls over her. She looks up somewhere offscreen, and then SCREAMS. And then the feed cuts off.]


[Action in Fayren]

[Anyone who wants to rush to her aid can find her in the forest, running from some large boar made of snow, the size of a school bus. When the monster refuses to stop pursuing her, Liora stops, deciding to make a stand.]

K-Keep away from me, y-you beast! I-I'm warning you...

[The snow beast is still advancing on her, Liora gathers a ball of light magic in her talons. In two seconds, it's about the size of a beach ball, which she then launches at the monster. The comet of light pierces the monster's body, leaving a giant hole in its torso. The monster then collapses into a pile of snow...but only for a moment. The snow gathers up again, resuming its former shape and begins to advance on the little dragon again, each step leaving an audible crunch in the snow.]

Oh no...it's getting back up! Now what do I do...?

[Dove brightens at the idea of a hatchday, but any suggestions she's about to make are quickly dismissed at her little friend's disappearance and the scream.] Liora?!

[That had been the forest behind her- Fayren, surely. It would only take her a few moments to get there if she flew fast enough, though upon arrival, she's shocked at what she finds.

What the...? It takes her another few moments to spot Liora, but the moment she does, she drops down, landing a safe distance away and... completely incinerating the the snowmade beastie.]

Are you okay??? [Looks like more of the snow creatures are around...]

[Liora cringes as the blast comes in and obliterates the snow creature, then she looks around for her rescuer, panting to catch her breath.]

Ah...Dove...I'm okay. It's just...that snow monster thing was chasing me, and every time I blasted it apart, it kept coming back!

Look ooout!

[Before Silicon is even in view, she's throwing a few test tubes towards the snow monster, almost as if they were throwing knives. Small explosions go off as they shatter, further melting the snow.

She skids to a clumsy stop and looks at Liora. Shoving her questions about fighting alongside a tiny dragon aside, for now.]

Do you have one of those shiny balls?

[Liora looks surprised at the snow beasts are suddenly blown apart by...explosing tubes? She looks puzzled as the stranger lands near her.]

Shiny ball...? You mean like this...?

[She holds out her talons, gathering her light magic into a bright shining ball for a moment before letting it dissipate.]

When I tried using these, the monsters just kept coming back...

[Silicon grips her ridiculously large staff, eyes narrowed towards the monsters.]

We have to catch the spirits that possess the snow. [It's not a strange concept to Silicon, apparently. She can see the snow beginning to rebuild, molding back into its snow monster form.]

Let's melt it one more time, then throw that while it's weakened.

Okay...

[When the beast begins to advance on them again, Liora builds up her Bright Bolt spell before launching the flashing ball of light at it.]

I haven't seen one that big until no, [she tell her, approaching quickly to check on her small friend.] I'm glad you're okay though... They don't look very friendly.

[Thankfully, Liora isn't physically injured, but Dove can see her shaking slightly. A little less now that help has arrived. Her eyes widen.]

You mean there are more of them??

[phoenixstrut]

[She doesn't even have to see her shaking; she can feel the nervousness rolling off of her.] There have been... reports on the network. [She's just going to phrase that carefully and probably not mention the ones she flew over on the way here.] But we can handle them. [A small reassurring smile.] With your light and my firepower, we should be fine. I didn't know you could do that. [Maybe she's a little brighter now. Light energy always makes her happy.]

[Liora takes a deep breath to collect herself.]

Yes...I'm a Light dragon, so I can use Light-based magic...although I'm still trying to control mine...

So...should we look for them? Or what should we do?
