Koishi paused, tilting her head. "There isn't a netherworld portal. You can open one though if you ask really really nicely and give up something of value in exchange. I asked really really nicely and gave up childhood memories of my mother in order to open one to old hell. My home. Mom said 'you two take care of each other' when Sis and I left home, so she would understand me giving up her memory so sis could keep a roof over her head. And since I can't feel sorrow anymore its better that I give up my memory instead of sis." A smile. "Memories are very special but family is more important."
She tugged him along quickly passing many residents in the city, not one of them turning to look at the strange pair. It was like they were invisible. "And people forget about me. That's the power I gained when my head and eye were disconnected. People look at me, their eyes can see me, but their brain can't recognize me. Sometimes I can make them recognize me but when they look away their brain forgets. Except for children. Children can usually see and remember me just fine."
She stopped in front of a colorful shop with candy displayed in the windows. Sweet treats of various sizes and shapes. The scent was absolutely mouthwatering. "Do you have the envelope you woke up with? There's money in it." The artery over her left shoulder twisted itself into a heart, third eye swayed gently from side to side. It was slightly open. "You can buy all sorts of candy with it."
